This book includes numerous profiles of teenagers whose risk-taking behavior seems, on the surface, to be unexplainable. The author explains the role of risk-taking as a necessary component of social growth. This book caused me to ponder my own highly sheltered adolescence, and wonder if my situation caused later problems. An interesting book.
