Did you read the title? So ridiculous, so of course I read it. Cute.

This is why I read some of the stuff I do. This title? All sorts of crackilicious. Unfortunately, the story fell short.

There was alot of plot shoved into a very tiny novella, and as a result, there's some big plot twists that are dumped out in like two paragraphs, and the rest of the time there's not alot to do with between the leads, which left me scratching my head.

Basically, I wanted more emotion than I got and the cracky fun didn't make up the difference.

If there is something I enjoy, it's Eve Langlais's shapeshifter books. I admit that while sometimes I don't give them the highest rating, I can't go long without reading anything from her. This woman is a genius, the mastermind behind the shapeshifters' genre.

Bryce needs to find a bride that satisfies only two conditions. The first one that his grandfather needs to like her. The second one that she agrees to divorce him a year later, with a generous sum of money, of course. The arranged marriag
I only read this book because a) the title is so outrageous, b) it was on Audible Romance package and therefore free/ paid for, and c) it was short. I haven't previously read any shifter romance (which I know is a THING) so I may have missed references to known shifter tropes or elements that Langlais may have satirized. It was an ok read, pretty funny and light. There were some cringey parts, like a comment about how women don't call the police on handsome stalkers (ergh) and some weirdness abo ...more

This as pretty much as awful as I thought it would be. A friend added it to my CloudLibrary account when I forgot to sign out, and it was only 110 pages so I thought I would read it. So, a shapeshifting moose who is the potential heir of a maple syrup fortune has to get married and produce an heir in order to inherit his fortune so he proposes to a woman who for some reason is a shapeshifting lynx. Ah, but there's a twist! His shapeshifting wolf cousin can get the money by getting married and pr ...more

I skimmed some parts because it was 4 am and my sleep was gaining, butttttt I really wanted to finish the book/novella.

I liked this story.
started in an awkward way, but it had a good enough development.

I think it could turn into a full book with more details. And even more Pov's. it wrapped up quite abruptly and fast!

Still it was enjoyable.

Moose not Squirrel

Okay. I’ll be honest. I bought this because the thought of a moose shifter just made me LMAO. A lot. And I think it’s hard to write about a moose shifter without having tongue firmly in cheek, and that’s pretty much how Langlais approaches it.

There are elements which bring it into the dark side, namely, the heroine’s mother and various wolf elements. There are some surprising plot turns (one I totally wasn’t expecting, and that threw me for a loop; I thought I had them all dow

Love Eve Langlais books, she’s got a great sense of humor and her books are always very entertaining. Bryce has to find a wife, like nowish, to please his sick grandfather. His grandfather would like an grandchild before he passes. Melanie takes care of her dying mother, that is so mentally and physically abusive.

These two meet and Bryce asks her to marry him while they are in line for coffee, yeah you read that right. So funny. This takes you through a series of events in their “fake” dating.

I love Eve Langlais and this had all her usual humour and fun that I find in every book she writes. It was perhaps a little rushed in the end, but I loved watching Bryce and Melanie fall in love, and admit their fake feelings for each other might have been more real than they thought possible. This is light, funny and sweet! I recommend to any shifter romance reader wanting a quick and easy read.

Never thought I’d find a moose shifter sexy, but somehow Eve managed to pull it off. It’s a funny and entertaining read.
This was a cute quick read with humor and surprises. I gave it a three only because of the mistakes in spelling made some of the sentences hard to understand.

This was a cute short Christmas tale about a humongous rack....Moose rack that is. Bryce is a big full of himself and arrogant and he's living the life. Until his Grandfather forces him to find a wife or he's handing the company to an interloper! Well, he's not having it! Melanie has had a really hard life. Her Mother has been horrible to her all her life. Putting her down and her self confidence and how she views herself. She meets Bryce in a coffee shop and she thinks he's nuts for what he has ...more

Are you a maple syrup virgin?

Ever wonder how it would feel it taste to put maple syrup on the forbidden place? Well, me too..maybe Melanie would get that chance. She happens to come upon a mighty moose with a pretty impressive rack I do say so myself. Bryce sees this gorgeous lynx on his family property and could not believe his eyes. One because she doesn't back down and show no fear, two it's something about her he can't deny. When he decides to leave and a few of the wolves try to grope her h

Melanie is a down on her luck, lynx shifter that is taking care of her dying mother. Bryce's parents have both passed on and has been living with and work with his ailing grandfather for years. When Bryce's grandfather decides that it's past time for him to settle down and forces him to find a mate or he will not inherit their maple syrup business. Bryce is also a shifter, a Moose.

This is a sweet little romance. Its very much your HEA short story. I really enjoyed the characters. Bryce is your typical playboy that meets his match in the very sweet and kind Melanie. Melanie who is struggling with her horribly cruel mother and has very much your Cinderella undertones in the story as a young girl worked to the bone with an ungrateful mother. Rags to riches but the unexpected twist of falling in love along the way. Bryce needs a wife to inherit the maple syrup empire from his ...more

This by far is not the first I have read of Eve Langlais. It has her trademarks throughout: steamy, romance, some funnies, and alpha males. Propositioned by the billionaire moose was a delight with some twists I did not see coming. No spoilers means your just gonna have to get your copy to find out, trust me you’ll want to know. I was surprised and relieved at the same time. The characters had growth, and the dialogue was easy to follow and smooth as butter. Rory did and also did not turn out th ...more

Okay, I know I say this about EVERY Eve Langlais book I read, but, MAN, I love her crazy characters. They're sassy and arrogant and FUN. SO MUCH FUN.

Bryce for instance. He's DEFINITELY got the arrogant thing down. With good reason. He's a prime specimen of a moose shifter and he's heir to a thriving maple syrup empire. Well, he's probably heir. You know, unless his grandfather hands the billion-dollar business over to the interloper who claims to be related.

On the other hand, Melanie is Bryce's
This story is short, fast paced and enjoyable. This book is the first book of Eve Langlais’s that I have read. Because of this, I wasn’t sure on what to expect. I needn’t have worried though; I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the story enjoyable. I liked Bryce and Melanie. I did see some chemistry between them but wanted more. I would also have liked a few more scenes between Bryce and Melanie. Because this story is packed with drama, I felt like Bryce and Mel ...more

Bryce is an extremely proud bachelor moose. And he loves his own rack. Marriage is not on his agenda, but his grandfather has other plans. These plans that will affect his future. And then in steps a rival to his claim.

Melanie is suffering. Being a diligent daughter of an abusive but ill mother. Wow that mother is one piece of work, I wanted to slap her silly, she made Melanie's life so tough.

Find a mate.
Have a baby.
Or you lose the family business.

A stranger claiming kinship could possibly walk away with the company Bryce has spent his life grooming to take over.
No way!
This moose isn't going out like that.

Hero is Bryce . Heroine is Melanie .
Love how Eve takes a commen trait in a love romance and gives it a spin. Love how Bryce is a Moose so strong and determined. Bryce gets a visit from his grandfather and he gets his marching orders . “Get married and produce grandchildren before I’m five feet under “. Bryce is wondering where is he going to find such a woman.
Melanie is taking care of her mother. She is in line at a coffee shop when she gets a most unexpected question.

Of all of the shifter books that I have read, I never thought that a Moose would be one of them. Bryce is the billionaire playboy who is given an ultimatum by his grandfather. Melanie is taking care of her mother and never has a moment to herself. They don't seem to have anything in common.

I like the strength of Melanie. She hasn't had the greatest life, but she still keeps the hope that one day she will be able to live a her own life. She doesn't fawn over Bryce even after she finds out who he

The story flows, fun yet compelling

I read this in one sitting, it was so good! I loved the complicated families and the characters that live in these pages. The story reads smoothly and has just enough of a twist to keep your interest running. The family twists were unexpected and the parallels were funky but still kept me reading to get the resolution to all the questions. Melanie and Bryce had a cute build up, they both deserve happiness. Obviously I think you should read this book!

Big Rack

Bryce is informed by his grandfather, who is ill, that unless Bryce gets married before he dies, he will not inherit the family business. Having no desire to get married, he propositions a girl that if she will pretend to be his girlfriend and marry him in name only, he will let her buy and do whatever she wants while living in the family mansion. When a twist in fates and circumstances happen, some deals just don't pan out. As always Eve Langlais has continued to excite us with her awes
This was good if you count on it being a first draft, not an actual novella that has seen a proper editor and was ready to publish. It needed another look over before being published as there were a few errors and continuity issues, also it could have done with at least 10 to 20 more pages to really flesh out the story which at times is abrupt or parts just drop away. Also skips logic which has been previously set out then forgotten. With a little work this could be a very sweet story worth the ...more

Trope fun and sweet as maple syrup!

This quick and sexy read has it all, a poor virgin, a billionaire moose, the family patriarch demanding marriage to secure the legacy, and a long lost relative popping up and dating an ex-girlfriend. A few more surprises as well, but they would give away too much

Lots of fun, super sexy times that will leave you moist, and a crazy set-up in the epilogue, that will make you grin

A brilliantly entertaining short read.
Great story with a funny twisty plot. I did get upset when the truth of Melanie’s life came out, it was just so sad.
Such a good fun madcap read. Fiancées who are not fiancées, Imposters who are not imposters and dying grandads who are not dying.
Liked the two main characters very much and most of the other characters were entertaining in their own way.
Found the blurb for Rory’s book intriguing. Will be reading that.

A lot of story happening in this. Bryce needs to wed and have a baby to inherit the family company, and a new relative, Rory, appears to inherit with a crazy fiance (but what happens to her and where are his consequences?). Some wolf shifters start attacking others (where are those consequences Bryce talked about?). Melanie has a terrible mother and lets her continue to abuse her, everyday. Cute read with Melanie thinking she is different and alone.
