Ethan doesn’t trust his heart…

Once upon a time, florist Ethan Massey believed in the kind of romance that happily-ever-afters were made for. In the aftermath of a nasty break-up, though, he’s had trouble believing he’ll find it again… or that he can let himself trust in it if he does.

Jack doesn’t know how to love…

Ten years ago, Jack Davis ran away from a small town that he

Super sappy, low-angst romance between a flower shop assistant and his late boss' son, an ex-soldier fresh out of service who inherited the shop. The blurb pretty much outlines the story.

Soldier boy's daddy issues are mentioned multiple times but not resolved, and he's never even had a relationship.

Flower boy's burned from a previous relationship, and now worried about the heir coming to town to take over the shop.

They meet, they immediately have feelings of attraction, they give in to those fe

*** A heartwarming, cute, emotional M/M romance ! ***
With eyes and a smile that lit up the world, Ethan,

27, loved his work at the flower shop. It is his happy place. It had been weeks since the owner died, and his son would be showing up soon.
Jack is nearly 30, a Marine and

nearly finished with his 10 years of service. Jack is tall, dark and handsome, big and built. Jack is speechless when he met Ethan. The beauty of a man lit up the place. He made Jack feel calm, relaxed and at peace. He hate

I couldn't cope with the ...floweriness (sorry, not sorry!) emotions were spilling everywhere. I only got to 29% but know it was going to get worse.

The situation felt contrived and reactions unrealistic. Given the situation Ethan comes across as a precious spoilt child rather than someone capable of running a business. Also for a Marine of 10years Jack seems far too diffident, there's a beaten vibe about him and his pov doesn't feel different enough to wispy, happy, florist Ethan.

This wasn't bad but...

1. The characters didn't have lot of character

2. Jack's daddy issues seem to be a huge part of this but aren't ever really resolved

3. 'Babe' is used 18 times, which is 18 times too many

4. The relationship got serious way too fast.

5. Why does Jack have just a bit of money saved after 10 years as a Marine? He wasnt spending the money on material things. But I guess if had money, that would throw a bit of a snag in the plot

100% Confort reading! This one has zero angst , is fluffy and an HEA with 2 epilogues xD
I really liked, I needed something light and cute and this one is totally that!
Don´t read this if you want excitement or complicate character /plot .

The story is so simple, After his father passed away , Jack need to return to his hometown to take care of his father´s flower shop. He only want to sell it and go away but he found out that one of the shop´s attendant is lovely...

I must critize that we never ha

A nice, traditional MM romance. A man is dedicated to the flower shop where he works. The new owner wants to sell as he’s unfamiliar with the business and in debt. There’s instant attraction between the two.

I enjoyed Ethan and Hack's story so much. How each of them dealt with their grief, fear, and insecurities to grow into men capable of having a loving and trusting relationship was beautiful. As I was reading this though, I saw so much potential for a series at the same time. I thought of Brad, Frankie, Sean, and even Jack's old marine friend Tyler. Bridgewater could be just the place for couples to meet and fall in love. Either way, it's a sweet seed romance that has just enough miscommunication ...more

This could have been a much better book and story if Ethan had not been constantly nibbling on his lip.Who the heck nibbles on their lip and how does one even do that? At one-third of the way through I was convinced that someone was going to have to call 911 and rush Ethan to the emergency rook with bleeding lips! That and Jack's "slowly turning heart" were just too much. But even more irritating was the huge error in location. In the front matter the location is clearly identified as Bridgewate ...more

Perennials even after a harsh winter will force themselves out of a finally thawed soil. Despite Mother Nature's delayed Spring, they will once again bloom. Given the chance can this also occur with love? Flower shop / Florist romances are special. I've always given flowers to those I've loved and to express many other emotions / celebrations: graduation, a loved one's grave site, a new love, to show gratitude, and to make a friend smile with their beauty. Ethan works in a flower shop and is unsure of the new boss soon to arrive after the death of the previous owner, Gary.

Jack, a former marine, and now flower shop owner, wants nothing more to get his father's shop sold and move to a remote cabin in the wilderness.

Chance to Bloom is a light gay romance novel where you're never in doubt of the outcome. The story was okay, but I found the characters to be much too childish for grown men. Stories where the main problem arises because one character re

A lovely feel-good romance featuring Ethan and Jack. Ethan works at the flower shop of Jack’s father, Gary, who unexpectedly died from a heart attack. Jack has served his country as a marine and is coming home to clear out his father’s belongings. He doesn’t have the intention to stay in the small town as he has no fond memories of the town and his father. But then he meets Ethan and his views change dramatically.

What an spellbinding book the writing was amazing. The plot was entertaining and it was steady throughout the book. I found the story and characters captivating. The characters were well developed and thought out. Ethan and Jack are the MC’s of this book. There was humor, Marines, grief, a flower shop, romance, cranky old people, Corporate Business and so much more in this book. This book was brilliantly done I loved it and read it in one sitting.

Chance to Bloom is the first book I have read by this author. I found it to be well written, with a nice flow that takes the reader smoothly through the ups and downs of these lovely men as they find their way to true love.
With just enough backstory to allow the reader to understand the mindset of each man, the author makes us feel the heartache and pain they suffered at the hands of those who should have cherished them. The romance is no easy, quick insta-love. The author allows them to learn e

This was a sweet and not-so-quick read for me. I spent some good hours reading it.

The characters were likeable, both going through some important loss and trying to deal with it as they best could. Of course, when they finally meet, the first impression doesn't go as well as it was supposed to. Ethan has the hots for Jake and Jake is lust-struck when he sees Ethan but their encounter south when they begin to talk. I liked Jake more, Ethan was a bit too judgemental for my taste and

An emotional love story. Jack's father, Gary, has died, leaving him a flower shop and apartment. They were never close, and Jack wants to sell everything and leave his small town childhood home.

Ethan worked for Gary for many years and saw him as a father figure. He wants to help run the store with Jack, the new owner. They disagree, but can't deny their attraction to each other. Jack is bad with words, and has lots of emotions he's not sharing about his parents.

As they heal and work together,

Awesome read! Jack and Ethan have a chemistry that held my interest through the whole book. Jack is our Army guy who just returns home unexpectedly and has no intention of staying longer then he has to. Ethan works at the flower shop and knocks Jack off his feet. Build up romance for these two, I was desperately waiting for them to be together and trying to read faster, but in the best way! Loved it! These guys just fit together when on the surface you wouldn't see it. Great supporting character ...more

I really enjoyed this book. The characters are well rounded and interesting. I like how Jack actually thinks that maybe his childhood want as bad as he thought it was. I love that he has that self awareness after one night with his old friends. Ethan is sunshine; even on a rainy day, it is still shining. I really liked how he tried to give Jack a chance and kept having a positive outlook even when things weren't going well.
The uncertainty that both characters face is interesting, but the best t

MC's and supporting characters were well written and portrayed. It was so good to see how Jack and Ethan's growing feelings for each other helped to heal them. Sweet story

Ethan is a florist who loves his job and being surrounded with flowers, he is a sweet, charismatic person. Jack has recently left the Marines and has no idea what he will do after he deals with his deceased fathers belongings. There is instant heat and attraction when they meet but there is a lot of misconceptions and uncertainty keeping them apart, but when they give in their connection intensifies and their passion ignites.

What a beautiful book! I loved Ethan and Jack. Jack, a marine is back in his hometown after years in service after his father's passing. Ethan works at the flower shop that Jack is now owner of. Lots of chemistry between these two from the first meeting that is a slow burn, these two dance around each other until it sparks and ignites! Beautifully written story of love! Flower shop romance

A lovely tale of a romance developed around a local Virginia flower shop. The main couple are well written with the cast getting lighter lines. Believable scenario and a super ending.

As I am a gatherer of books, I collect books and ebooks from a variety of sources: Goodreads wins, Bookhub, BookFunnel, emails from authors and publishers, and others. I do lose track of their sources. But, as a reader, I feel I should give an honest, unencumbered review for all I read.

A fantastic story!

Such a great story! I loved every minute of it. Couldn't put it down! Resented anything that got in the way of me reading more! Loved Ethan and Jack. They were perfect for eachother and I'm pleased with the ending. So over the moon that the author did two epilogues, one in Jack's pov and one in Ethan's! Will definitely be looking for more to read by Dillon Hunter! What a story teller!
