A ten-year-old boy has a bike accident and suffers a concussion. A neural connection is made that gives him the ability to have insight into future events. This young boy, with his new sixth sense, joins forces with Walt to exonerate a man who has been unjustly accused of murder, and thwart a plot to assassinate the President of the United States. A novel full of suspense and comedy!
I have seen many child on various TV shows who had extraordinary mental abilities. Some could solve complex math problems and formulas in their heads with lightning speed. Others, had the ability to commit highly complex things to memory. I agree to author's point that they had developed neural connections in their brains that went far beyond what most of us will ever experience. These people, along with Marty, should give us hope that there is so much more that our species can achieve if we learn to harness the tremendous potential that lies in each of us.
It is really an interesting detective series, I enjoyed this book.

Lady Justice and the Sixth Sense (Lady Justice, #28) by Robert Thornhill
In the newest "Lady Justice" installment, Walt finds himself in an unusual situation. A young boy falls off his bike and gets a concussion. After that he seems to have gained an extraordinary insight, a sixth sense some would say. With the help of this young boy Walt is able to solve some crimes, one being of utmost importance. Saving the life of the President of the United States.
Thrills, adventure, crime solving and laughter fill the pages of this wonderful story. At seventy-four years old, and still working as a private investigator, Walt's life is anything but boring. From (investigating) cheating spouses, to saving POTUS life, one thing is for sure, life is never dull for our favorite hero, Walt Williams! I highly recommend Lady Justice and the Sixth Sense to all.

Lady Justice and the Sixth Sense (Lady Justice, #28)
by Robert Thornhill
The latest in the Lady Justice series has Walt Williams working to find proof a man is cheating on his wife. In the meantime Jerry’s nephew falls off his bike hitting his head and gaining the ability to see into the future.
The boy’s ability helps Walt prove a suspect innocent of murder and saves the president’s life.
Robert Thornhill touches on current events and makes the reader think “What if”..........
It’s enjoyable to revisit familiar characters as well as meeting new ones.
I enjoy the concepts this author puts forth in his novels. I look forward to what will be next.
The only thing that makes them better is George Kuch’s narration of the audiobook version. I can’t wait for more of those too!!!

I just finished the audiobook edition. Yes, I was correct George Kuch was awesome!!!
I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

This murder mystery adds a bit of the unknown in the form of a supernatural gift. When ten year old Marty Singer hurts his head, he finds he has the gift of precognition. Walt Williams is a geriatric private investigator. The two meet through a tenant of Walt's and the adventure begins. Marty knows a man convicted of murder is innocent and Walt helps prove Marty right. The the tale gets more involved when Marty 'sees' the President of the U.S. in danger. The author has several books with Walt Williams as the lead character in the Lady Justice books. Any one you pick up is a great read.

Always one to keep up with current events and topics, Robert Thornhill doesn’t disappoint in his 28th book in the Lady Justice series. The cast this time features the elder statesmen of crime fighting: Walt Williams, a retired real estate agent and former adjunct member of the Kansas City police force, now partner in Walt Williams Investigations; and, his half-brother, Kevin McBride, a retired PI who is the other half of the new firm. Honorable mention goes to Jerry “The Joker” Singer, a stand-up comedian who lives in the same building with Walt; Ox, Walt’s former partner at KCPD; and Walt’s other half-brother, Mark Davenport, formerly with the FBI and now with Homeland Security. A cameo appearance is the President of the United States, Donald Trump. Wow! Just imagine, Jerry the Joker and POTUS together in one book!
The premise of this story centers around a young boy, Marty Singer, Jerry’s great-nephew, who receives a concussion while bike riding and awakes to find that he “sees” things that have or are going to happen. After correctly supplying vital information in a murder investigation, Walt and Kevin take his prediction seriously when he foresees an event that might be an assassination attempt on the President who will be visiting KC to speak at a gathering centering on the moving of confederate statues. Like many Confederate monuments, a statue honoring “Loyal Women of the Old South,” which stood proudly in the Country Club Plaza from 1934 as a gift of the United Daughters of the Confederacy until it was moved to 55th and Ward Parkway in 1958, was to be dismantled and moved into storage. Not wanting to give away spoilers, one thing leads to another in the efforts to stop the assassination and protect the President. Walt, Kevin and the boy are heroes honored by the President. But, in the end, due to the publicity, Marty is kidnapped by some low-lifes who think they can make money off him by his revealing numbers to lotteries, scores on football games, etc. and Walt must once again come to the rescue.
There are some very funny moments in the story written by Thornhill and an interesting discussion about savant behaviors after head traumas. Jerry the Joker is given a space to spew forth his lamest limericks to chase away newspaper reporters…which may be the best use of his comedy yet. The escapades are like small vignettes, but are skillfully woven together so that one story line weaves into the next until all the bad guys are safely in custody, and the world is momentarily safe again thanks to Lady Justice and her helpers.

Love the cover of the book!
This is my new favorite in the Lady Justice series!
Jerryy's nephew falls off of his bike and suffers a concussion which results in him having visions. Of course Walt and the Gang get involved and let the adventures begin!
I loved every minute of the book and hated to see it end!

I have been a fan of the Lady Justice Series for a long time now and so I was excited when I got this book as a free download. The storyline moved along rather briskly and a lot happened in the book, I missed the majority of the motley crew that usually make an appearance, but overall it was an entertaining read. The Author is known for weaving current events into his books and sprinkled them with lots of humor as well. I wonder what will happen next?

I love this series of books. Short, not too sweet, and straight to the point. If you have not read any of these, read just one, ANY one and you will be hooked. Thanks for some great stories Mr. Thornhill.

Somewhere in our brains we all hold the secrets of precognition. Don't believe me, then ask yourself about the last time you had a "bad feeling," a sense of doom, deja vu. Some folks are able to tap into that region of their psyches more easily than others. Whether by birth or by accident, as we use it or out of no where, this knowing is a part of us, just waiting to be accessed.
Walt comes to this realization when he meets a 10 yr old boy who seems to know things yet doesn't understand just what it is he is "seeing." The problem for Walt lies in getting others to accept the child's visions as truths without sounding like he's heading down the slippery slope of dementia or insanity.
Trusting a child is one thing, trusting what one cannot see for themselves is what drives Lady Justice towards truth.

The 150 Prompt Doctor Who Reading Challenge - Enemies - 8) Judoon: By The Book - Read a book involving law enforcement, rules or a legal mystery.
This was quite an enjoyable Lady Justice novel. I'm not a fan of child characters, but Marty was pretty cool, and the theory was why he was seeing things was pretty cool as well. In fact, this was one of the Lady Justice novels that could have benefitted from being a little longer to pad out the story a bit more.

If I had a tiny gripe it would be that this story was too short. I feel it could've been padded out a little more with more examples of the extraordinary powers of young Marty. However, I understand that the story would perhaps be less credible and too far-fetched to be believeable. Having said that, this was a very light-hearted enjoyable read centring around Marty's unusual new-found ability to see things that haven't happened yet after a bump on the head following a fall of his bike. There's mystery and intrigue, attempted assassination, a miscarriage of justice, and kidnap, as well as amusement and jokes, all in this cozy mystery whose hero is Walt, a 74 year old private investigator.

Another good book in the Lady Justice series. If it's in the news it might show up in a Robert Thornhill book.

Book 28 in this wonderful series. I don't know how Robert Thornhill does it but book 28 is as wonderfully entertaining as book 1. I really love this series and the adventures that Walt and his mutley crew get into. If you have not experienced this series you need to read just one book. But let me warn you they are addictive just like potato chips can't read just one. Once again George Kuch narrates this book and as I have said before he is the true voice of Walt.

This one is a little different. A young boy with connections to Walt and friends suddenly has insights into things about to happen to people whom he sees but has no clue who they are or why this is happening. Walt and his fellow PI are present and feel the need to get involved even though it makes no sense, but it begins to make some kind of sense with each correct episode. There is lots of situational and verbal humor as always. I love these books!
George Kuch continues to be excellent as narrator!

"Told you!"
Always such a pleasure to renew the aquantance with the elderly sleuth, Walt Williams, and his bevy of family and friends, and hear from him about his latest adventures in pursuit of Lady Justice. This time, the nephew of one of his tenants comes to stay for a few days after a bike accident caused a concussion. The 10 years old, Marty, makes some odd comments, things he could not possibly know, but they prove true. So when he says that an innocent man has been wrongly arrested, Walt and his P.I. partner, Kevin McBride, decide they have to investigate...
Full of humour and anecdotes (and Jerry's terrible jokes and limericks), and even a reference to Walt's author friend, Robert Thornhill, these wonderful books are like chatting to an old friend. And narrator, George Kuch, is Walt Williams.
Enough said.
Every book is stand alone.
Loved it.
Definitely recommend it.

Loved the different phases of the book. Loved the silly limericks of that silly Jerry! It's nice to see Walt and his cohorts still involved in the crazy things that they get involved with. I like the imagination it takes to develop all the characters and themes Robert Thornhill comes up with. Funny, endearing, and memorable and makes me want to continue reading the series. Start from the beginning of his series and see how the writing has evolved. just keeps getting better.

Another joyful reading experience. Not as good as others I've read in the Lady Justice series. It did make me smile, but it didn't make me laugh.

Another mind-boggling adventure with Walt & Lady Justice
December 13, 2019
Another great book in the lady justice series. I like the characters, the way they always seem to get in trouble and the hilarious ways they get out of it. There are so many recurring characters it's like catching up with old friends. Each book is a stand alone book but why would you miss out on the stunts Walt and his geriatric friends get up to? I liked the cryptic clues the boy gave to Walt to solve the cases, very clever.
One of Walt's friends and tenant, Jerry asks him to brake one of his rules and let his 10 year nephew stay in his apartment. He just suffered a head injury and his only parent needs to go out of town for work. Walt being the softy he really is agrees and in the process saves the presidents life. You see the boy knows things that he shouldn't, like someone is going to hurt the president and when he is proved right about a few small things, Walt believes him right away. Now he just needs to convince everybody else.
George Kuch is a pleasure to listen to as the voice of Walt Williams and his friends.

Lady Justice and the Sixth Sense is my twenty-seventh enjoyable read/listen from author Robert Thornhill. Another entertaining clean read, filled with puns, one-liners & references to books & songs including the narrator singing. Throughout the book I found myself smiling a lot & at times laughing out loud. Each book in the series seems better than the last as Thornhill continues to up his game. Narrator George Kuch again adds greatly to the listening enjoyment with his wide variety of entertaining voices & inflections, Kuch IS Walt Williams! I’ll definitely be reading more from Thornhill! I was given an Audible copy of this book & am voluntarily reviewing it. Up next is Lady Justice and the Magic Dragon. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

This book really surprised me. I really liked how the author didn't go over the top with the young boy and his 6th sense. This boy is sharp and the gang really takes a shine to him. I'm glad the bad guys were thwarted before the could do some serious harm. It doesn't surprise me people had a hard time believing in his abilities untill he proved himself. Again as I've said before this author and narrator are a perfect pair. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

I love the Lady Justice stories, especially the ones combining a bit of the paranormal. This time around a child who has precognition assists Walt with a few mysteries. The characters are lovable and the storyline is entertaining in a humorous mystery way. I highly recommend this book and others in this series! The narrator, George Kuch, did a fine job! I received a free copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

It’s amazing how a head injury can cause so much commotion after it happens. In this book there was some unbelievable situations that ales you really wonder what the human brain is capable of if we were to use it at it’s full capacity. I love how every book in this series always opens up something to think about.
