Have you ever based your decision to read a book solely on the title? That’s what I did for “Healing Danger”. I was curious to know how these two words fit together. As I delved deeper and deeper into the pages of the book, the connection became very clear. I can’t go into details where this is concerned without giving the story away, so you will have to read it for yourself to see what I am talking about.
Everything about this book was intriguing, from the prologue to the epilogue. The prologue

You will laugh, cry, get mad, go what the H*** plus it was Hot and steamy!!!!

Loved it! I truly enjoyed reading it, did not want to set it down for a moment. It was a twister, the storyline always continued adding new things to it, adding new characters. The storyline itself kept growing and expanding it never got boring. When you thought you knew what was going to happen, she changed things up. Dane & Lauren were very cute together. It was not an overnight romance and they made mistakes

This was a pretty good read.if your a fan of loyal soldier books and all that implies it's not a bad experience. Dane is part of the fortis team and has a thing for our h, Lauren. The twist I like to this book is Lauren was swept away from an abusive, controlling father by her mom as a child. More than that are the reasons her mother wanted to protect her daughter. She had the gift of healing hands.

I won't tell any more with that plot but know it goes deeper than that. I love that plot line but

An enjoyable read, but I wouldn’t say it’s a standalone book, although it is a HEA for the main characters, a few questions are left unanswered, so it’s probably best to read the full series.

In the course of reading this book, I swung back and forth with my feelings for it. I struggled, to begin with, mostly because it seemed very much like a British author, trying to write an American book. I'd been quite excited about the idea of a book with a UK setting, being British myself, but there was nothing that really marked this out as being set there. Once I was into the story, it irritated me less and I tended not to notice what I saw as 'Americanisms' but I really think that the ...more

Healing Danger is the first book in the Fortis Security Series by Maddie Wade. It is full of action, adventure, thrills, intrigue, drama, suspense, mystery, sizzle, romance, and danger. As this series is well and truly established, it was great to go back and to where it all ‘began’. I have enjoyed this series immensely and can always count on Ms. Wade to deliver ‘the goods’ and keep me entertained right through till the end. It was interesting to look back and see how the series/story,

This story had everything, romance, murder and mayhem. There was a lot going on but I loved it and I thought it worked really well, it all fit together well around Lauren and Dane's story and was balanced. I liked the paranormal angle and the fact that female characters were strong minded and interesting.

This is the first in the Fortis series and although it can be read as a standalone I was pulled into the Fortis world and clicked buy on the second book before i'd finished reading this one.

Healing Danger is the debut novel of new to me author, Maddie Wade. This novel is a promising start to a series for a first-time author. It's a fun, easy read with relate-able characters and some uncomplicated suspense thrown in.

Ms Wade does a very credible job of building a world and setting up this first book as the foundation for a broader series while introducing all the players in it. The good guys - the heroes and heroines of each subsequent book, and the bad guys - the ultimate big bad

The authors note at the start implies that this is set in the U.K., but it doesn’t have that ‘feel’ of being British. It’s swamped with adverbs and unnecessary descriptions and random characters and doesn't have any 'flow' to the story.

When I started reading Chapter 3 only to find it was written from the 'bad guy's pov' (in an effort to show the reader what a thoroughly rotten, evil psychopath he was) I gave up.

Lauren never dreamt that she would wind up being chased by a group of maniacs who want to “cleanse” the world. She also never thought she’d wind up with her perfect man. Both happen in this novel by Maddie Wade and it makes for an exciting, hot, and sometimes intense read.

The Review:

I really enjoyed watching the cat-and-mouse romance that developed between the main two protagonists, Lauren and Dane. It flourishes all at the right time and it leaves you wanting more. The book does jump around

This book gets 3.5 stars from me, I wanted to give it 4 but I just couldn't based on how I rate books. Now, first of all I will say I really did enjoy the storyline and will most definitely read the other books in this series because it did hold my interest. My "issue" is this, it was very repetitive throughout...and specifically I noted on one particular page for example, that the same point was made 3 times. I would have enjoyed it more if it had been said and moved on from. I feel like it ...more

New Maddie Wade reader here. And I must say, I am so excited to keep reading the next books to find out what happens with the rest of the Fortis Security team. This story was about Lauren and Dane. They have a bond they started to share before Lauren's ex cause them to stop talking. Fast forward a few years and the death of Lauren's best friend brings Dane back into her life fully again. And what a ride these two go from there. It was a great book, with twists I didn't see coming and I love ...more

Shelves: alpha, suspense, romance
Let me just first say, I don't normally read suspense books, but this one hooked me in from the prologue. It had suspense, romance and intrigue. Dane and Lauren's relationship was quick, but full of spark. Lauren is a fire cracker that is a brave female character. Dane is......... drool worthy. The sex scenes were good, but not over the top. It felt natural and classy, not trashy. I'm interested in seeing where this series go. Especially with the divine watchers still actively watching.

Now onto

The potential in the storyline is what kept me reading this book, but ultimately it became a chore to finish. The intriguing "superhuman gifts" merely serve as the motive behind the plot, nothing more, and the dialogue was like a B-movie script. The female protagonist was okay but truly the only differing characteristic in the male characters are their names. Maybe her other books are better but this one being my first, I'm hesitant to read another, which is why I disliked the cliffhanger ...more

Great Roller Coaster Ride! I really enjoyed the story of Dane and Lauren. The story is action packed, and I liked how the love story of the two protagonists was woven with the suspense and the danger. The great secondary characters are a great added bonus that makes me want for more (I already have favorites!) Can't wait to start book 2. I highly recommend it!

Just couldn't get past the first few chapters. Too much dialog on feelings it was a big turn off. The story didn't flow on its own. Too many character pov to count. We didn't need it.
Healing Danger (Fortis Security #1) by Maddie Wade was a okay read that kept my attention and followed at a good pace.

I got some mixed feelings going on with this one. I have read one other book in this series, and I did have some mix feelings about that as well. I'm not going to get into that. This story, this tale, was unique to say the least. I liked the overall plot and I loved the paranormal element. It added a little something extra and also adds a darkened subplot, that will be the

The story Healing Danger: A Fortis Security Novel Book 1 (Fortis Security Series) by Maddie Wade is a romantic suspense book. It is a story that hooked me in from the very beginning and I didn’t want to put it down until I had read the final page. It is a book with action, mystery, and danger. Healing Danger is the amazing first book in the Fortis Security series by Maddie Wade. All books in this series can be read as a stand-alone although there is a continuing story running throughout and the series centres around the same group of characters. I however, would recommend that you read the whole series, purely because it is a fantastic series with truly outstanding characters. I first discovered this series by reading books 6 and 7 in the series. I loved these so much that I just had ...more

Healing Danger is the first book in the Fortis Security series. A contemporary romance, this novel also doubles as a suspense, with danger lurking from the very first pages. I quickly became absorbed with this book and obsessed with the characters and their storylines. This is one of those reads that takes over your day and before I knew it, most of the evening had passed while I was glued to the screen of my Kindle. Fans of romance with added mystery and thrills, this is definitely a read for ...more

A pleasant surprise for how good it was

Having read quite a few books by both British and Aussie authors in used to words being spelled different than in the U.S. a few of the reviews mentioned that it was distracting. But I have to say that Healing Danger was a surprise because I really liked it plus I now have a new author to read so in my case it's a win-win.

Lauren Cassidy has special healing capabilities that a cult group would kill to have even her best friend who refused to join them. After

LOVE LOVE LOVE!! I've read the majority of this series and although they can be read as standalones I am so happy I finally went back and read book 1. This is absolutely one of my favorite series ever, and this author is in my top 10 all time favorites.

Dane and Lauren have been one of my favorite couples in this series and I'm so glad to finally have their story. I love how all of this came

Healing Danger is an opening to Maddie Wade’s Fortis Security series that blows your mind! It is weird but the first introduction I got to the series was book five and it blew my mind! I fell in love with Maddie’s writing and I think by now I have read most of what she has written, including the Fortis Security series!
It all starts with the prologue … it makes you sit up and it grabs you and doesn’t let go AND then you get to the epilogue and I promise you, you will blindly start looking for the

Fortis Security has some top ex SAS and black ops men, plus an e-geek Baby Sister from GCHQ.

While Zack is out of country on assignment, Dane deals with Daniel and his family and friends, after the death of Claire, wife of Daniel.

Like her best friend Lauren, Claire had special talents, precognitive dreams / visions for Claire, healing powers for Lauren.

Little does Lauren know that not only her father, Marcus Preedy, and his men, are after her, and others like her, a weird high powered group is

Healing Danger was a great 5 star read and book one in the Fortis Security series.
Once you start you will not want to put it down until your done.

Lauren and Dane had some not so great pasts that caused them both to be leary about opening their hearts up to each other. Their stories will tug at your heartstrings and you will understand the “why’ behind their issues. They were made for each other. Of course their journey isn’t an easy one, they do have their challenges.

There are unexpected twist
