She was once his liar.
He was once her savior.

Although I didn’t have much love for Catherine and her immaturity in book one, I loved her in book two! The author did a remarkable job of showcasing her growth and development. Her healing, her newfound lease on life, her new direction ...more
Title: Revere: A Legacy Novel (Cross + Catherine #2)
Genre: Romance, Mafia, Young Adult, New Adult
Publication Date: November 6, 2017
Hallelujah! The Book Gods blessed me with an ARC of this book and I devoured this one!
First of all, Bethany-Kris, Thank you..thank you. This book was everything I wanted after the turmoil that was book 1.
Second, Its not always that you, as readers, feel like as if you've grown up along with the characters but in this se ...more
Their saga continues...
And their love will never end...
It sounds like a fairytale BUT it's more of an existencial drama with a little bit of angst/anticipation and a lot of misunderstandings, secrets and lies between the characters out of various reasons, spanning from "wanting to protect the one you love, respecting the mafia code and wanting to prove the everlasting love against all odds while you hold your distance out of revere", well it kinda sets a high bar ...more
Gah! I need Unruly: A Legacy Novel now!! Cross and Catherine are like Catherine's parents for me (Dante and Cat) - one of THE best mafia couples. My Queen of Mafia Romance does it again. Bethany gives us a story that's soooo good, I can't get enough. Cross and Catty have the kind of love that endures and is truly for always.
The growth of both of these characters, especially Catherine adds to the evolution of their love and the ties that keep them coming back to each other.
While this is bo ...more
A-freaking-MAZING. Once again, the author left me a sobbing mess, but for different reasons in this book. I'm not going to go too deep about the characters themselves right now because the first book isn't out yet, and I don't want to spoil anything from that book. But, once the first book comes out, I'll be back to add more to this and further explain why I adore Catherine and Cross. Needless to say though, I fell even more in love with them in this b ...more
Catherine....Reginella. Sucker-punching you, is still on the table....
Dante....You seriously sucked in this book....
Catrina....Regina. You did not suck - you chewed first, then spat out....
Andino....Some people suck the nice right out of you. You are that person....
Cross...You can suck me anytime 😂....
Me....I’m such a sucker for Bethany-Kris’s Mafia royalty and the Marcellos make great Mafioso reading, so I’m straight off to read the third and final Cross and Catherine’ ...more
Whilst I didn't think I could love Cross any more than I did in Always: A Legacy Novel I did. He was a cocky, arrogant little shit in Always, and although still arrogant in Revere - he totally grew into it and owned it. I adore him, I really do. He never ever gave up on Catherine (something I was all for him doing), his love never ever waivered and I love how he loved her, something I still feel she didn't deserve.
She sort of redeemed herself for me towards the end, but not enough for ...more
Revere is the continuation of Cross and Catherine’s story but could be read as a standalone. It’s their second chance at love and life. It truly is what mafia romance should feel like. I’m excited to see where their story goes next.

Cross Donati and Catherine Marcello........seven years later and their connection is alive and ever present. It’s been dormant, waiting for the right time to awake, and in Revere, their connection is as Always as it Always was.
Seven years and lots has happened for both Cross and Catherine. Catherine has been through a lot but has grown by leaps and bounds. With the help of a therapist, she has done what she promised Cross she would do...... learning to he honest an ...more

“She was life to him. She was his life.”
Can I have just a moment to take in the feels for this book? I've read this ages ago and it left me drained of emotional and mental thoughts and I was just left in a state of fog of Catherine + Cross.
I wasn't actually sure why I was so emotional when I started reading this book. It was brought on by the fact that I haven't gotten over with Always: A Legacy Novel and all the pent up emotions that I've thought I've already purged ou ...more
This, for me, is Bethany-Kris’ best work yet. And I don’t say that lightly because I love every single work she has written. The Russian Gun series has always held that top spot and the Chicago War series is a very close second… but Cross and Catherine’s story? I have love for this series that I can’t even begin to comprehend.
And do you know what the best thing is? We still have one more Cross+Catherine book left. ~Do you know how happy that makes me ...more

A continuation of Cross and Catherine's story
Years have passed since the end of book one.......
Catherine has pulled herself out of the black hole she was sinking in and she has worked very hard at trying to center herself.
Cross has been keeping himself busy with business over the years, but now he is questioning everything after he finds out he has been lied to his whole life by the people he cares about the most. Cross has ...more
Catherine has grown SO much since book one and I loved her! She acknowledged her mistakes and took responsibility, Cross was as usual so perfect but I also saw the growth in him. I'm so excited for #Unruly book 3!! I could never get enough of them. I love how deeper both of them are getting into the business and I can't wait to see ...more
Revere is one of those books that leave your heart in a vice, grips it with such force it drags you to your knees. Mind. Blown. Revere is a masterpiece in itself, finding light in the darkness. Cross and Catherine have that forever kind of love, love that never dies.
Bethany-Kris's best yet.
Still is Cross is the best kind of character. Strong, carin ...more
They surround you, they keep you calm...
Until one day they nearly kill you...
Revere by Bethany-Kris is part two of Cross and Cathrine’s story. It starts some years later after the event of the first part.
Cross is a made man, a gunrunner working mostly in Chicago. Cathrine is calmer now. She learnt to save herself.
They meet, they talk, they want to be together.
But no matter what they have their own demons. Lies that can destroy them and everyone around them.
Their families and lifestyle is ...more
Definitely better than the first, but it had some issues. Cross had matured but was still mouthy at times. He's a true bad boy with a heart of gold. I really liked him. Catherine did a lot of growing up but was still acting childish for a long time. I don't like her much. She said she wasn't an addict acted like one. It was beyond bizarre that someone with her issues would have remained dealing drugs. It would have greatly increased the chances of her relapsing. Comparisons were often m ...more
Yes you read right 7 years!!!! 1 year is too long for my favs to be apart so 7 years is an eternity! But no matter how much time passed they were still Cross and Catherine, two halves of a whole.
Of course they had so much to work through personally, together and with their families but made it work.
I loved how everything was cleared up, everything was revealed and put on the table. Catherine's secrets and l ...more
I think i can't say it enough, i love this couple, Cross and Catherine are so beautiful together. Simply romantic. One of the best couple ever written by Bethany kris. They were so real and so so profound. There's no way their romance won't touch you.
After seven long years Catherine and Cross finally found their way back to each other. Even after all this time, they only needed to meet once and their connection lit again like the first day, the wild boy and the sly girl. This ...more

Cross, the hero, is absolutely what I am used to from this author. He's strong, pig-headed, gorgeous inside and out, dominant, tender and loyal to a fault. He protects the heroin ...more
Cross and Catherine’s (Catty) relationship has been a roller-coaster since “Catty” was fourteen. They were each other’s first love. They were each other’s everything.
Revere picked up seven years later. I enjoyed the back story of major things that happened to both Dante and Catty during that time. It helped the reader to understand why Cross and Catty reacted a certain way to some things.
