London is a cleaning lady. She always wanted to be a photographer and she works very hard to earn the money to achieve her dream. One day, London meets Arlo, the owner of one of houses she cleans. Arlo is a member of a famous rock band. He needs a break and returns home for that break. Arlo can’t believe that there is a woman inside his home. There is something about London that he finds interesting and he wants to get to know her better. Arlo makes London an offer she can’t refuse and they spend a lot of time together.

London is feisty, kind, hardworking, talented, genuine and caring. She has lost someone dear to her and she hasn’t moved on yet. She’s definitely not looking for a relationship. Her focus is solely on her dream. London is still working hard when she works for Arlo, but she enjoys that work and hanging out with Arlo is an amazing extra. London finally moves on and she’s happy again. She deserves that happiness.

Arlo is rich, talented, passionate, possessive and a little closed off. He loves his band and making, performing music. It’s his world and he would be lost without it. I wasn’t always a big fan of Arlo, especially not after what he did in the kitchen with a woman. I did love watching Arlo slowly change. He wants to be better for London. She’s the one for him and he believes in her.

It took a while before London and Arlo became a couple, but there were some very hot moments between them before that moment. Sparks fly between them. I’m not a fan of a long wait, but the chemistry was obvious and the wait was understandable. It was doubting between rating this book 4 and 5 stars. But when an author makes me really understand a wait and makes that wait seem short, the book deserves 5 stars!

I loved Catching London. I found it difficult to put it down. It’s sexy, sweet and emotional. This book is a rock star romance and there were enough scenes of Arlo being a rock star. The moment when Arlo and London met, was funny and awkward and memorable. I was curious how Arlo and London would end being together. I loved them together at the end!

I loved EVERY. SINGLE. WORD. It kept me captivated from beginning to end - especially since I share London's aversion to arachnids! Arlo was so delicious and in your face and I really wish we had gotten his POV - I would've loved to know when and how he fell for London. This book is so re-readworthy! While this was definitely a 5 wine glass read, there were a few missed opportunities (or maybe we can look forward to more books with these characters!). I loved the significance of tattoos for both characters (and it may or may not have really amped up my desire to get a few more). There is really so much I want to say about this book, but I think it truly is best to go in absolutely blind. I will give a slight trigger warning (because someone asked about it on Goodreads): there is some OW drama in the beginning of the book, but it occurs before Arlo and London get together and it just goes to show how much he grows and changes over the course of their knowing each other. Catching London was just a beautiful and sexy love story that actually had me re-evaluating my feelings for a similar rocker romance I read recently and actually dock it a bit after experiencing the fullness of this. 5 out of 5 wine glasses for sure and I can't wait to devour more from this author!

5 London Catching Stars!!!

Catching London was absolutely amazing! M.V.Ellis Catching London is one heck of a debut book. I just couldn't get enough of Arlo and London. This book will have you laughing, crying and pulling at your heart strings.

London is currently working for aunts housekeeping company. This is after her life was turned upside down 2 years ago after a car accident. That car accident changed everything in London's life, her career of a professional ballet dancer ended and worst of all she lost her fiance. Now she is working on saving up to open her own photographer company.

In walks the famous Arlo Jones. Turns out the one house that London is charged with cleaning belongs to rock star Arlo Jones. The way these two come face to face will have your rolling laughing. Lets just say it involves spiders and a shower.

Catching London is a 2018 must read. I promise you will fall in love with M.V.'s writing and OMG this story. PERFECTION

One of my favorite rockstar books ever!!! It has enough story to make the romance believable. I'm not a fan of insta-love. What fun London can be too. Her wit and sarcastic come backs are priceless. Arlo is larger than life and completely over the top rockstar. There are elements that were diminished in rock star story and I think it's because more emphasis or equal emphasis was London's perspective in this story. She's a tough cookie. Talented and some what neurotic she makes decisions carefully. Although, she totally kissed Arlo back that first day and I'm shouting "No" because he'd not respect her but then I chilled and thought of his green eyes and 6'4" and said to myself that I didn't blame her!!!
There is probably 50 pages of her dithering that I could do without reading because she was getting DUMB by that point!!

Sure was great writing. I usually don't care for the intimate parts because some authors like 50 Shades is all anyone wants to read. These scenes were more than I care for but they fit the characters fine. I understand lady and male parts and mechanics so I don't really need finely detailed description. The tickle scene was precious!!

I'll recommend and reread!!!

I’ve been excited about this book for months and I’m thrilled to say it didn’t disappoint.

I haven’t read a rockstar romance for years and I tend to avoid them. There was just something about Arlo I couldn’t keep away from though.

I don’t like super angsty books but at the same time I don’t like books with characters who fall too easily into love. Catching London has the perfect amount of push and pull for me. Arlo has to work hard for London’s affections! I really loved that Arlo can and wants to provide for London but she’s always been a grafter and she wants to maintain that. London is spunky but she’s also not immune to Arlo’s charms. She has to work just as hard as Arlo but for different reasons.

There’s a lot of sex in this book which is fine by me. I’m not here for fade to black... But one of my favourite scenes in the whole book was so tender and unexpected that I found it sexier than the sex scenes. It was stunning.

I’m a standalone kind of girl and this book is absolutely a complete story but I can’t tell you how much I look forward to more Arlo and London in the future.

I think this is start of a very promising career for MV if this is only her debut book. Thank you MV for helping me return to a genre I should automatically love. Boys in bands? Yes please.

Also I have to mention how perfectly the cover has captured Arlo. I have wanted to read this book since before I saw the cover because of MV’s great social media presence but when I saw the cover I knew I had to read it. Bravo to everyone concerned!

Chasing London was the steamy Rock star read with characters that were interesting to read about. I am big fan of romance reads that involve sexy rock stars and this book met all the expectations that I have for a good Rock Star read. There was everything I liked about romance reads. It had a sexy alpha male, steamy moments, laugh out loud moments, a heroine that I enjoyed and secondary characters that I liked reading about. This was a well written story that flowed all the way through the story.

London was such an enjoyable character that had me laughing form the first moment we met her. She was such an easy character to connect too and one that was written really well because I could believe the emotions that she was feeling with the descriptive way the author wrote this character. I really felt for this character with her struggles that she experienced throughout the story.

Arlo is the sexy alpha rock star that I really enjoyed reading about because he was a genuine character that said the truth about the type of person who he was. He lived the rock n roll lifestyle and took advantage of all the benefits that come with that lifestyle. It really showed the impact that London had on his life with the changes that he makes throughout the book and it really showed him grow as a person throughout the story.

Catching London is about London who is rebuilding her life after a devastating accident robbed her of her fiancé and her dancing career. But a chance encounter with the sexy billionaire Rock star Arlo sees an immediate attraction between the two.

I was really surprised that this was M.V. Ellis first novel because it was written really well. The storyline was really enjoyable and a couple that I really wanted to be together. I cannot wait to see what else is in store with this author. Congratulations on a fabulous debut novel.

Who doesn't love a sexy rock star? I beta read Catching London last month. GREAT STORY! I really enjoyed it. The characters were oh-so interesting and appealing. I loved London ... independent, confident and reluctant to just 'give in' to the rock god who has never had to chase women. There's HOT sex, lots of hilarious dialogue plus well-written sexy banter between London and bad-boy Arlo. I highly recommend this entertaining romance!

Millionaire rock star, gorgeous, talented and every girls dream; Arlo Jones.  He’s cocky and arrogant and doesn’t know what to think of the petite beautiful girl he finds in his home when he gets back from touring.  She claims to be the house keeper, and he’s cool with that and he’s willing to give her what every girl wants. So, he is completely shocked when his first encounter with London Llwellyn ends with her slapping him in the face.  London didn’t know who the hot guy was, but when he kissed her she wanted to find out, at least until he rudely propositioned her.  Arlo and London have a very rocky start and they seem to hit it off one minute and then they are fighting the next.  London can’t see that Arlo is pulling out all the stops to keep her close to him and trying to win her over.  Arlo doesn’t understand that London can’t lose another person in her life because if she does, she just wouldn’t be able to recover again.  It’s not long into the weird friendship that Arlo realizes that he is determined on Catching London.

I absolutely enjoyed reading Catching London by MV Ellis.  The story was never boring and kept me on my toes.  Arlo Jones is an incredible character that I watched grow with the turn of every page.  London was not my favorite character in the story, but it was her nonchalant attitude towards Arlo that helped challenge him and make him be a better man. Without her the Arlo that I fell in love with wouldn’t have been possible.   The dynamics and banter between the two was both witty and refreshing and the sex with the two of them was HOT!  I give Catching London 5 stars.

Absolutely brilliant read!! I am totally in love with Arlo! TOTALLY!!! Talk about swoon-worthy rock star! I was completely hooked on this book from the very first word and I can’t believe it is the author’s debut novel! Absolutely outstanding!! I loved everything about the characters in this story! I felt for London and everything that she had been through and I have to say how she reacted to the spiders I would have done exactly the same!! I loved the first meeting between her and Arlo! He was not impressed but she held her own – like she did on quite a few occasions with him! It didn’t take me long at all the fall in love with Arlo, he was everything I love in an alpha male, hot, sexy, broody and panty-melting!! I really liked the secondary characters too and would love for stories from the rest of the band, especially Arlo’s brother Luke! He was a real sweetie!! I also liked the secondary characters of Marco and Nic, they were really good friends to London and helped her see what she couldn’t!!
Overall a fantastic debut novel and I cannot wait to see what the author comes out with next!! I will definitely be looking out for it!!

⭐️ 4.5 "Arlo's Tog" Stars ⭐️
I love a good rockstar romance and Catching London is exactly that, but with a different plot than the norm. This book is more about the relationship between Arlo, the lead singer of one of the most popular band in the world, and London a photographer with big dreams, than about the rockstar lifestyle on tour.

“Loving people who are here doesn’t mean we don’t or didn’t love those who aren’t. We’re not trying to replace them of forget them, we’re just living.”

This novel was a pleasant surprise for me. I was asked to review and from the synopsis only, I was sold on this story. I loved the relationship between Arlo and London. Arlo is the ultimate bad boy and is most of the time a cocky bastard, but throughout the story he really changes and it’s due to London. She brings a tender side to him. I feel like he doesn’t know how to show the new feelings she incites in him, so he’s acting hot and cold to preserve himself from a broken heart.

From their first meeting I was laughing so much and their intense chemistry promised lots of laughs and hotness for the rest of the book. London is such a witty and sassy heroine with a sweet tendency to clumsiness. While Arlo grows a lot during this story, London is also dealing with conflicting feelings that makes her reticent to engage completely with this rockstar. She knows heartbreak and Arlo isn’t considered a safe bet for a relationship. I really enjoyed how Arlo, after a beginning where he demonstrates overconfidence, gradually shows her that her cares. He can be intense and possessive, but it comes from the heart it made him only more attractive to me.

“But apparently, that’s what love is. You wear your heart on your sleeve, make yourself vulnerable, and maybe it works out, and maybe it doesn’t, but at least you tried, right?”

M.V. Ellis did great with her debut novel. I really felt the passion of these characters and the writing of this story was beautiful. Catching London is a funny, steamy hot read you need to experience.

4.5 ✨

So, I usually don't pick up books where the male lead is a rock star because they never appealed to me. And, I especially shy away from storylines with dead exes. (I can't stand either in books but weirdly I don't mind them in movies!) But, I'm so glad Ellis offered me an ARC because I'm absolutely in love! I especially loved how Ellis handled and wrote everything because it was realistic and relatable.

It was so easy to slip into London's mind and relate to her. The writing was like an intimate conversation between friends and reading Catching London felt like reading a journal.

I adored London and Arlo. The characters are flawed yet inspiring. I know some won't like some of London's decisions, I sometimes did, but they're human and I could understand where she was coming from even if it was sometimes frustrating.
I was still yearning for more of them by the end but I'm glad we can get some more glimpses & updates in future books. I'm hoping for Marko's story with a peek to the ballet world or really any of the other characters because I also wanted more of Nic and the rest of the band.

I started this book today and I have just finished. I knew from the first page it was going to be a good read and I wasn't disappointed; the pages just kept turning.

London is a great character. She has been through a lot and is in the process of re-building her life. What she wasn't expecting in her life was Arlo Jones, especially in the compromising position they met. His challenging behaviour infuriates London!

What can I say about Arlo Jones? Mmmmmmmmm, I'll say that to start with, because he's just yummy. Well not just yummy, he is sooo much more! Arlo being a Rock star has, of course, lived and does live the life of one. That is until London, but unlike all his other conquests London is not an easy catch!

It was a perfect way to spend a Saturday curled up with a good book and it was definitely a good book! I will be checking this author out in the future and won't hesitate to one click!

You had me at “Rock Star” and WOW I couldn’t get enough of Arlo Jones. From page one you were speaking my language. I just loved the banter between these two characters. London was the perfect little dynamo, she had it all going, she was a survivor and she was smart. She knew what she needed to do in the next chapter of her life and she was going to work hard to achieve it.

This was the story of the surly, arrogant Front man of the hottest band on the scene who comes home from a tour to find a naked woman in his shower and assumes she is a fangirl. London happens to be his cleaner and was just as shocked to see him and he was to see her as nobody had ever been in that house before. He doesn’t believe her story for one minute she is too young and cute and lithe to be a cleaner and he certainly didn’t believe that she didn’t recognize him. He was hot property everyone wanted a piece of him. There is tension but it turns into sexual chemistry once the truth is revealed.

Arlo invites her back to look after the management of his house on a permanent basis while he and his twin brother Luke live there, while on break from tour. He sweetens the deal by the huge injection of cash. Money she needs to build up her photography business, her new venture after being robbed of her two loves. Her past has been struck by tragedy when she lost her fiancé and her ability to perform as a Ballet dancer.

Arlo wanted her from day one and eventually he wore her down, the temptation for this man was just too much he was irresistible, and she knew it was time she tried to move on. After their HAF afternoon delight she took some candid shots on her phone of the perfect specimen of man lying before her on his bed. He liked what he saw she had talent. He also liked her but she wasn’t falling for his charm she knew his reputation with woman dropping panties at his feet. She was sassy and spoke her mind and didn’t take any of his crap. Which really made her all the more alluring. He offered her a gig to be his personal photographer on their world tour. Another opportunity she couldn’t refuse. Her future as a Professional Photographer was in the bag if she could pull this off. There were so many lines in this book that had me smiling. It was such an easy read, really funny scenes. London has a male best friend by the name of Marko, who brings some very entertaining chapters to the storyline.

Cantankerous prick one minute and swoon-worthy heartthrob the next Arlo’s actions speak volumes with the things he does for her but she is still unable to see a future with this man even though she is herself enamored of him.

The tour finishes and London goes ahead establishing herself as a photographer capturing the Rock God. What she captures in her photos is her reciprocated love for him.

Their hot raunchy sex scenes are just flawless and very visual. The whole book is like that and I can’t wait to read more about this very special couple in the future. A taste of Luke would be a treat too!

Catching London, M.V.Ellis.a
thy Jay
Review from Jeannie Zelos book reviews

Genre: Romance

A debut novel and a great start for M.V.Ellis. There were things that niggled, but overall it was a terrific first book, and I look forward to more.

Arlo, he's brash, self opinionated, incredibly confident and a total rock star cliché, and yet under that there's a real guy, who's got some genuine emotions, who does care about his people, who has a strong sense of what's right and wrong. When he meets London – and what a meeting – he knows she's special and goes all out to get her in a position where he can see more of her, get to know her and let her know him. Lucky for him she's a talented photographer, which fits in with his plans perfectly.
I loved Arlo, who couldn't? He really is a solid guy, and determined London will be his. He has the money and connections to make that happen but he wants her to want it so treads carefully.
London, had a sad past and was a sweet girl and I really felt for her and what she'd lost. Gah, the number of times I wanted to slap her though, blowing hot and cold, giving Arlo the OK and then changing her mind over nothing it seemed. Arlo could have got whiplash from the stop-start of their romance.

I would have liked to understand Arlo a bit better, that's where I love dual POV as it lets me see what characters are thinking and feeling, but I got a pretty good sense of him from his actions.
London as I said irritated me so many times, I liked her but she was a bit too ready to pull the plug for no reason, and then in next breath all over Arlo.
I'd have enjoyed seeing more of the secondary characters, we did in the first half of the story but they seemed to mostly sort of fade out in second half.
I guess the thing that stops this from being five star for me is the long mental monologues London has going on, pages and pages and pages of them, and I felt the story was being told by this rather than shown by way of action and dialogue. Its me, I just like dialogue based books best. Not everyone does, but that's what brought this down for me, too much telling and not enough showing the story in action.

Stars: 4, it was a fun read, I adored Arlo, and liked London but she did irritate me. For me it needed more dialogue though for a five, however not everyone does so you choose ;-)

Catching London by MV Ellis
“The playboy and the broken girl, 4 stars”

Arlo can rock a stage like it’s nobody’s business. He also makes it his mission to rock women as well. I mean what’s the point of being the lead singer in a world-renowned rock band if you don’t, right? That is until he meets London. Once he met her it was all down hill for him and he was ready to be committed but London has some hang ups. Will he bust down those walls or will both their pasts bite them in the butt?
London thought she had it all two years ago. She had her dream job and the man she was going to spend the rest of her life with. Until it was all ripped away. Now she’s just trying to save up for her next career and working two jobs. She has no time for guys. When she meets Arlo she has no idea who he is but the sexual tension surrounding the two is strong. Will she take a chance on the rock star or will she deny herself what she really wants?
I genuinely liked Catching London. Although there were a lot of times I straight up wanted to slap London upside the head. The girl was her own worst enemy. Poor Arlo didn’t know what he was doing but he was trying his hardest. The opening scene and the cause of why they met would totally give me nightmares, so I don’t blame the girl. Its giving me the hibbie gibbies just thinking about it. *shivers* The only other thing I had a problem with is the book started off with secondary characters and then they just kind of faded way. They were still there but they didn’t interact with them and I found it slightly strange. Nonetheless Catching London was a solid quick read.

London and Arlo have an interesting, whirlwind relationship in Catching London. The two spark from the first time they meet. They have great banter and each hold their own well.

I really enjoyed London, she was forced to reinvent herself through tragedy and handled it with grace. She knows her worth and refuses to settle for less. I loved watching her open up to Arlo, and I loved her friends. After a while though, she felt a bit like a martyr. She fought her attraction to Arlo at every turn, for as long as possible. She was closed off, then would let Arlo in, then would shove him back out. He was really trying hard, especially because he had no idea what he was doing. He was determined to be single. It was easy to fall in love with him.

Overall I really enjoyed Catching London. The plot was fun and developed, the characters were interesting and I have my fingers crossed to see London's friends get their own books!

Sigh, Arlo.. I love a bad boy don’t you? This was a nice, fluffy read that gave me amazing feels. First of all I could very much relate to London, right down to the natural curly hair struggles she had, but Arlo loved so much. Her independence and the defense mechanisms she used to protect herself, but also deny herself of what her heart really wanted..Arlo. She lost her fiancé previous years before so she felt guilt in that Arlo was everything her fiancé wasn’t. What a beautiful, sexy ending to this book. Arlo could get whatever he wanted from me, just saying. The lead in a rock band gives certain stereotypes, which were true until London. I mean this man oozed sex, dominance, and sexy as hell too!! He was a goner when he met that girl with the caramel coffee skin, dark curly hair, and spunky independent attitude. A true match these two are. I just love them.

This was a quick, engaging read for me, because it had three of my favorite things:

1. WOC heroine - the author didn't shrink away from the details that make her unique!
2. banter, wit, sass - basically, the author proses in sarcasm, and I LOVE it
3. heat - the chemistry was there from the outset, manifesting physically, emotionally, and definitely with words. ;)

Arlo Jones is an unapologetic bad boy. He's world famous, likes to party, and loves the ladies. On the surface, he's an arrogant, womanizing jerk...underneath, he's thoughtful, full of empathy, and has his own insecurities.

My favorite thing about him is that he never lies. He never tries to be anything but himself. Sometimes, himself is a jerk. Sometimes, himself is romantic. Sometimes, himself is tired of living in the hamster wheel of fame and notoriety, and is ready for real companionship and love.

His intentions for London are always clear, from the very physical attraction in the beginning, to the profound connection it grows into. As much as I wanted to shake him for his abrasiveness sometimes, I always rooted for him, hoping he'd get London to come around, trust him, and trust their love was real.

London. Ohhhh, London. I loved her! I love her fire, her confidence, the way she stands up for herself...I love her skin, her scars, her HAIR (more on this in a bit)...and how introspective she is, even if she doesn't share her revelations right away. I love that she's not a strong black woman stereotype. She's allowed to be vulnerable and have flaws.

I admire the way the author didn't try to invalidate London's past relationship. She describes it perfectly in the story...It wasn't better or worse. It was just, completely different. It was REAL love. For me, it was refreshing to see Arlo and London's relationship built up, without tearing her first love down. As a result, it felt more substantial to me, the moment when London realizes she's in love. That moment is my favorite in the entire novel, because of how poignant it is. The emotions were all captured beautifully, literally in mid-air.

London's hair was like a third character, and as a multi-ethnic woman myself, with VERY curly, often unruly hair, it was sooooo refreshing to read London's love/hate relationship with her hair. My favorite passage about it was this:

"I wrestle my thick, damp unruly curls into my go-to simple updo, leaving a few tendrils hanging loose, and lament my hard-to-manage hair. I love it, but sometimes I wish it were easier to look after. I've learned how to make the best of it, but I'll never be one of those girls who can just 'wash and go.' My bed hair doesn't look sexily disheveled, it looks like I've been dragged backward through a barnyard, or spent a night sleeping on a park bench. Let's not mention the years spent forcing it into ballet buns. I certainly don't miss that!"

#TheStruggle

Luke (Arlo's twin brother) and Marko (one of London's best friends) are the most developed secondary characters. I enjoyed their interactions with the protagonists very much. The dialogue was sharp, witty, and moved the story along. I do wish there were more of London's other best friend, Nic, in this story, but there was a lot of plot happening, and the moments she was present were great.

I'm intrigued by both Luke and Marko, and would love to see their stories! (hint hint, haha) Marko and Jourdan's relationship is hinted at in Marko's conversations with London, so maybe there's something in the works...

Ironically, the major conflict in the story wasn't Arlo's bad boy-ness, but London's reservations about it. She needed to be convinced that his affection was real, that he wouldn't grow tired of her and revert to his bad boy ways. I like that it wasn't written in black and white though. I like that London judged Arlo by his cover and was maybe 55% correct...but the more pages he let her read, the more she realized he was complex, and gray.

It was great seeing London's dream of being a photographer take shape by the end of the story in a completely believable way. The progression was nice to witness, from a girl waiting tables and cleaning houses, to getting her first real shot at photography shooting behind the scenes for Arlo, to finally being recognized and lauded for her talent by the end. It came full circle, and it was satisfying to read.

The settings in the story were intriguing, two of the world's most populated, influential cities. I wish there had been just a bit more travelogue, showing more of the settings these characters romped around in, but that's just a matter of preference I think...and given Arlo's profession, he doesn't see a whole lot more than the stage and his hotel room. Lol. There are two particularly memorable outings the pair take during their time in Paris that I really enjoyed.

It's written completely in London's POV, which was refreshing...and the author did a great job showing Arlo's POV through dialogue and action with London.

This is my first time reading this author, and I love her voice, her writing style, and the pacing of this story, so I'll definitely read more of her in the future.

What a great read! The author has written a storyline that is both funny yet in-depth, light hearted yet touching and totally hot! After all, it does feature a rock star. But the characters are what drew me in.

Arlo Jone is a sexy rock star that basically has is all, fame, money and women (lots of women). He is also Cocky as all get out and used to getting his way. That is until he meets London. He can feel their chemistry but she wants nothing to do with him.

London is a strong willed woman who was involved in a bad car accident that resulted in the death of her fiancée as well as ended her dancing career. Now she is working working two jobs to save enough money to set up her own photography studio. She meets Arlo under very embarrassing circumstances (LOL) yet she has no clue who he is and wants nothing to do with him. But when she’s offered a large sum of money to be the housekeeper for Arlo and his twin brother, she can’t refuse; she needs the money too badly.

The banter between these two is great. The situations poor London gets in are hilarious. She challenges Arlo to be a better person but can she trust that he’s trying or is he just pushing so that she’ll be another notch on Arlo’s bedpost? Can London trust that Arlo wants something with just her? Could he be what London needs to move on from losing her fiancée? Loved this story and it’s one I recommend reading. 2 Thumbs Up!

Catching London is the debut novel by author MV Ellis, and was such a good read.
The story follows a romance between a rockstar and a photographer. I found the story to be a fast paced, sweet romance, and a really enjoyable read. London is a sweet yet sassy heroine who is also somewhat broken and sad. Arlo is a rockstar. He is arrogant, bossy, and has the biggest ego!

I had mixed feelings about Arlo’s character. I liked him when I met him, then hated him, and then liked him again until I eventually loved him by the end of the book. He is your typical bad boy type but found him to be incredibly sweet by the end of the novel. The characters had some great chemistry together, and some rather steamy love scenes! The book is written in only London’s POV. I would have loved to have seen Arlo’s feelings and read his thoughts about London and I felt we missed out a bit because of this. The story line had a nice flow and was really quite good for a debut novel. I look forward to reading more from MV Ellis.

London finds herself rebuilding her life after a tragic accident. Her dreams of being a dancer shattered, she is working a few jobs to save up and open a photography studio. One of the houses she cleans is usually empty until one day, it isn’t, and the incredible Arlo Jones is in front of her. But she doesn’t recognize him. I love that London’s confidence allowed her to put Arlo in is place. Arlo is shocked this woman doesn’t recognize him. He is even more blown away that after 1 kiss, he can’t stop thinking about her. He is the notorious rock-n-roll womanizer but finds himself in a unique situation, how does he get London to take him seriously. This is a fun, sexy journey as London goes on tour with the band to document Arlo for a book. Arlo at times was so frustrating but as we dig under his layers, there is an amazing man that really wants love in his life. London is fearful feeling she lost her one true love. Will Arlo be able to break down her walls? I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.

Loved this steamy rockstar romance!

London and Arlo were a couple of very sexy protagonists. I enjoyed reading the book, written from London Llewellyn's perspective. She's an ex ballet dancer with a passion for photography who is still dealing with the loss of her fiance a couple of years back. I feel like her inner conflict is so apt when moving on from such heartbreak; being able to accept her feelings for another man and dealing with the guilt that comes along with it.

Arlo Jones is a bad boy rockstar who is just waiting for the right lady to tame the beast! From their first meet, their relationship is electric. There is a spark instantly and the story unravels to reveal something much deeper between them.

The story was an enjoyable, easy read with plenty of ups and downs to keep my interest peaked, and lots of steamy scenes too! Would love to read more about London and Arlo and see where they go from here...

Sex, drugs and rock and roll!

“He’s not looking to change his bad boy ways.”
“She’s a damaged dancer not looking to fall.”

Arrogant, egotistical and sexy Arlo Jones meets physically and emotionally damage London Llwellyn in a completely crazy, unique and compromising hilarious first chapter and their steamy and complicated relationship only gets better from there. Both dealing with their own insecurities and mutual attraction with sexy banter and false bravado.

Can the sexy rock star breakdown the barriers London has put up to protect her broken soul using his cocky charm and leaving his womanising ways behind him?

Great first novel by MV Ellis. Fun, witty and hot romance.

The millionaire rock star won my heart even if I wanted to slap him on numerous occasions.

Oh how I enjoyed these two. London + Arlo = Love 4ever

I was hooked from the very beginning. I mean, when a girl is running through a house-that’s not hers-stripping off her clothes, you have to want to know what’s going on.

Thank god for spiders, because none of this would have ever happened without them.

Arlo is big and overbearing, sometimes an asshole, okay, most of the time an asshole, but he’s fiercely protective and capable of giving someone his whole heart.

I enjoyed this story so much. Watching Arlo change throughout and then watching London realize the truth about him. It’s such a fun read.

I think the author did a great job of writing these two characters. They stayed true to themselves and I could really see this happening in real life.

I really was hoping to love this book! I thought it had so much potential. But I just did connect with the story, I thought the beginning was good but London and Arlo were very childish to me. They had like zero communication skills and things that’s could have simply been solved with words and talking was done through ignoring each other and being petty.

I found London to be really unreasonable and so was Arlo. Jones they were meant for each other in that aspect.

The intimate scenes were very sexy and hot but that was all I really enjoyed from the book.

Im sad I couldn’t enjoy this story more. I honestly believe the author can improve her writing skills the more she writes. The book could have been so good but it just wasn’t my cup of tea.

I really, really enjoyed the heck out of this book, a definite 4 star read for me.

I loved how the author built the relationship part of the love story separately from the sexual chemistry. Very modern language and the whole rock star thing aside, it really was at its core a classic love story. There were no aliens or shifters or even evil, scheming, murderous exes. The conflict was all internal and about their feelings for each other.

I also liked that although he was a ROCK STAR (in big bold letters) the conflict wasn’t mainly because of his money or lifestyle- it was about London’s fear of being hurt/rejection.

I loved both the hero and heroine even though there were parts of the book where I wanted to throttle them. Hats off to the author for being able to show them as flawed, human and annoying and then being able to pull them back into likeable/ loveable characters- I’ve read books where characters go too far into unlikeable and nothing they do ever brings them back.

I like how the dialogue was realistic and modern and fit with the story. My only negative comment about the dialogue is that sometimes there was a little too much (for my personal taste) of the natch (6 times), dayum (2 times) and cray-cray (4 times) and other very modern MTV type words going on, but I’m almost 40 and not a rock star so that could just be me being old-fashioned. All in all would recommend this book and author.

Rockstar romances are my favourite type of book so I couldn't wait to read this one.

Arlo is one alpha man whore, being a rockstar certainly suited him and he lapped up the attention that he received from being one of the hottest around. Arlo doesn't need to try hard to get the woman, they fall at his feet and he's definitely a love them and leave them kind of guy,,, that was until London.

London has been through a lot of heartache and is trying to work her butt off to reach her dream of being a photographer, currently working for her Aunt as a cleaner has her meeting Arlo in a very awkward situation, not that she knew who he was ! Wow he can be a first class d**k but there is also a side to him that the press don't see .

Right from the moment they met you could feel the connection and the attraction that had for each other, but can Arlo change that much and can London trust him. He promises to catch her but can she let him ?

I loved this story, it had a lot of emotional ups and downs. You cant help but love Arlo, I must admit I wasn't as keen on London but she does grow on you ! There are a few other characters that I wanted to get to know more too so will be looking out for more of M.V Ellis books.

Hmm

Arlo is the play boy rocker.. London still isnt over her deceased ex. London gets caught in a bad situation by Arlo and the chemistry is known from the start!!! Can London over come her issues and let Arlo in??? A few ups and downs a little drama and some sweetness from the rock god makes for a fun read.

~~~~~~~~~~Tracy's ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review~~~~~~~~~~
When London Llwellyn met Arlo Jones it was a moment to remember for both of them. London is still recovering from the heartbreak of losing her fiancé Danny, but she is not ready for all that is Arlo and his millionaire rockstar manwhoring self. London isn't looking to fall again but when Arlo claims he will catch her, can she trust her heart to a man who all he wants is another warm body to be with? I loved this book and it was such a great story. The progression between Arlo and London's love story was anything but a love story. They are both harden by their pasts but together they become more. Definitely a must read. I am truly hoping their will be another book about them.
