A stellar compilation of history, legend, and prayer, this volume deftly touches on every aspect of the Mother of Jesus through the eyes of historians, saints, mystics, and even religious leaders and writers outside of Christianity. Well worth the read.

It feels terrible to say this about a book on spirituality, but this is a good bathroom reader. It consists of short passages from scripture and other writings, many followed by a quick illumination from the translator.
There was some questionable theology in this one, the idea that the Trinity is not complete and sufficient because it lacks Mary the mother. Gack.
