This is a sweet romantic story with family drama thrown in. The two main characters have some great chemistry in this book. I loved their relationship and was happy with the ending. I voluntarily read an advance reader copy for my honest review

4 stars! I really enjoyed this book even though the beginning was a bit slow, it taken a while before the main characters met each other but after that the story got interesting and I couldn't put it down.

I love the bickering between Fort and Cori and been curious about the reason of how the cows went missing.

Wish there was bit more at the end as I felt it was a bit rushed plus would like to know more of the Cori's father involvement.

I really hope there will be another book about Deck and Cric

Fortune "Fort" Besingame and Cori Walters grew up on adjoining ranches in Brewster, Texas. Fort's father was a gambler who won the ranch and then lost it years later, both times in high stakes poker to Cori's father. Cori's father was an insurance agent, the mayor and a swindler. While he took care of his wife, before he went to jail, he left Cori, still a teenager to pick up the pieces, and sell off all their belongs to make restitution. Fort's mother had divorced his father and remarried befor ...more

This suspenseful romance is well written with delightful characters and a well thought out plot. When Cori's friend provides the perfect solution to her problems, she finds herself face to face with the one man she would have liked to avoid. Fort's father was scammed by Cori's father, who is serving a prison sentence, and the weight of shame that she carries for his actions make it difficult to look Fort in the eye. Just when they both decide that a "make believe" relationship between them is no ...more

This book was emotional and quirky too. I liked both of the main characters. And as much as they might hate it in the beginning they did have at least a couple of things in common. A desire to be respected and at least one irresponsible parent who caused them to take on problems at such an incredibly young age. They also both had good moral fiber because it would have been so much easier to just skip out and leave the messes to others.
I liked that we got to read BOTH of the main characters P.O.

What starts as a ruse with Cori posing as Fort's fiancé to win election as town Sheriff, and with both of them searching for cattle rustlers, and with other drama going on in the small Wyoming town of Wolf Creek, this story will keep you entertained. Suspense, romance, and drama - this story has it all!

My only complaint is the way Fort initially treats Cori when she arrives in Wolf Creek to help him win his election. Although he changes his attitude later, the things he says to her initially are

Rcvd an advanced reader copy from the author for giving my two cents. We meet Deputy Fort who loves small town ranch life in Wyoming. A far cry from where he grew up and his father's gambling problems that they lost everything. Word on the street is the Sheriff is retiring and wants Fort to put his name forth but he should bring his woman from Texas to show the townsfolk hes here to stay. Cori is working to make amends....amends fer father did by swindling the ppl of the town. She tries her damn ...more

Wow is the first word I would use to describe this book. This is the second book in the Wyoming Matchmakers Series and Kristi Rose has another winner. I absolutely loved the first book in this series and I thought well there is no way this series can get any better but boy was I wrong. I loved the second book even more then I loved the first book. This book was so romantic, it was so funny, it was so sweet and it was so much more. I loved Fort and Cori but the town and the people in it also help ...more

I love a good fake fiancé book because you can almost guess they are going to have a happily ever after. Fort and Cori know each other and let’s just say their pasts were not friendly interactions. When Cori agrees to pose as his fiancé she doesn’t realize how difficult it would be to keep the act up. They get caught up together trying to solve a mystery and the longer they are stuck together the more they realize how their feelings aren’t as much hate as they thought.

This is a great story that

OMG, what a fun and feisty enemies-to-lovers romance! The push-and-pull between Fort and Cori was sometimes hilarious and sometimes heartbreaking. That Sabrina would set them up in the first place was pure genius! I loved how Cori really knew Fort, how she understood him on such a deep level. Cori really deserved the happiness she found in Wyoming after all the baggage her parents dumped on her. Fort is all alpha cowboy, one hot cop, and a slice of John Wayne's The Quiet Man all rolled in one.

This is an amusing, romantic and entertaining story. It has a bit of suspense and mystery, and shocking twists. Fort is chivalrous and charming and sweet, but he keeps to himself and is somewhat shy. Cori is determined, kind, vulnerable and snarky. In the beginning they hate each other, but as she defends him, and he shows his true personality, they begin to become a team. The sparks between them get harder to ignore, and they become a sweet and fun couple. All of the townspeople come together t ...more

4.5 stars. A funny and sweet romance with some mystery and suspense thrown in. Both Fort and Cori are likable, and have great chemistry and amusing dialogues. The ending was a little rushed and could have benefited from an epilogue, and the suspense aspect was left not fully resolved - OK if it will be addressed in the next book in the series, if not then its an end that should have been resolved by the end of the novel. Overall, I really enjoyed this story and anticipate rereading this story in ...more

This was book 2 in the Wyoming Matchmaker Series and features Fort and Cori. Both carried a lot of baggage from their fathers and it has affected them in many ways. Fort's father had a gambling problem and lost the family ranch on a bet. He felt like Cori's father was responsible for his father losing the ranch. I thought Fort was a real jerk to Cori, blaming her for her father's mistakes. A friend talks Cori into posing as a fake bride for someone running for Sheriff and she agrees not realizin ...more

Rose continues the Wyoming Matchmaker series with The Cowboy's Make Believe Bride.

Sabrina does it again with a match everyone can see except Fort and Cori. They are both too caught up in the heartbreak of their entwined pasts to see that love might be the right road. This is a highly emotional journey with a bit of suspense thrown in. I enjoyed the dynamic characters and the well conceived trope. I am looking forward to more in this series.

I highly recommend this book to fans of the contemporar

This was a really good read! This is a first for me from this author, and the writing pulled me in from the start. It flowed well, and the characters were great. Fort and Cori were great together, even if the beginning of their relationship was rocky. I thought the secondary characters were developed nicely as well. I loved Cricket and Mrs. Z. The only thing that I would change would be more closure with the cattle thing. I would have liked to have found out the whole story with that. The ending ...more

Although the beginning was a bit slow & boring, once the main characters came into contact, everything changed. Cori & Fort struck sparks off each other instantly. Cori went from being a bit of a doormat to being a spunky wildcat. Fort went from being a quiet, somewhat shy, private man to someone fighting for what he wanted. The characters had met when they were young, disliked each other & things went downhill from there. The plot has some twists that you don't expect & that kee ...more

Can make believe become reality? Loved Cori and Fort grew on me. Is it ever right to lie? Fort made up a girlfriend and now it is backfiring on him. Cori has been trying for years to make up for the crimes of her father. This really made me mad at those people who held her accountable when she is just his daughter and didn't commit a crime. (end ranting) This is a funny at times enemies to more story. There is also a mystery. Love how the characters grow separately and as a "make believe" couple ...more

What a great book. This is the first book that I have read from this author and it was fantastic. It was just the kind of book that I love. The characters and plot were so realistic. The plot flowed beautifully.
I couldn't stop reading. I loved the dual POVs; it helps me to identify with the character.

I will definitely being reading more from this author. I can see her becoming a favorite of mine. Highly recommend.

This is an enjoyable, exciting read, filled with humor. The action is gripping and the characters are fun. It’s even more fun when Cori figures out that she knows Fort from high school – and they didn’t get along very well. But when two people need each other for their plans to work out, they’ll have to figure out how to get along some way, at least for a short while. And who knows where that could lead? The story line is well-paced, with an intriguing plot and engaging characters. Highly recomm ...more

The story starts off slow but really picks up when cori shows up. Fort wants run for sheriff but the town is old fashioned and he needs to be married in order to win. Cori is looking for a change of pace and redemption for her father's sins. Her father scammed Fort's father out of his ranch. The love story starts slow but you can feel the connection. There is a mystery to solve involving cattle rustlers. Suspenseful a few twists . This is a quick read. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Co ...more

Well worth reading.

This turned out to be a really great read. At first there is a lot of lead in story but as I stuck with it and kept reading I realized that it was building a foundation for the main characters. I can't write about what the story is actually about word for word because I feel that this one just needs to be read. I fell in love with the characters and you will to if you give them a try.

The Cowboy's Make Believe Bride (Wyoming Matchmaker Book 2) by Kristi Rose is a very good read. This is a great book that is full of romance, suspense and drama. Well written and has a compelling and engaging storyline. Fort and Cori create a great couple Both have such emotional baggage. Add in their dislike of each other, a fake fiancé job and The Cowboy's Make Believe Bride is a fun, emotional read. I am posting an honest review after reading an ARC copy of this book.

Fort needs a bride to run for sheriff in Wolf Creek, the little town where he lives. But he needs a bride in order for the townspeople to vote for him. Cori is trying to escape her past and all the wrongs that her father did. Can she be the bride for Fort when her father was the responsible for Fort’s father to lose everything? They have to figure it out while trying to solve a mystery in Wolf Creek. A very funny love story. I received an ARC copy of this book and I voluntarily reviewed it.

Not exactly what I was expecting from the cover or blurb, but in a good way. There is a fun mystery to solve as well as a romance in this story. We are trying to figure out where the cows are going and the bride is make believe!! It was a tad slow to start, but it became a fairly thrilling story that I enjoyed reading. Rose has done a great job with the characters and the plot!

I received an arc of this book and am voluntarily reviewing.

Kristi Rose was raised in central Florida on boiled peanuts and iced tea. She’s been lucky enough to travel the world, has lived by an active volcano, almost fallen off a German Alp, and eloped in Arkansas. Today, as a wife and mother she's resigned to traveling to the grocery store. No matter where she is, she enjoys watching people and wonders about their story. That’s what Kristi writes about: ...more
