Four hunky, supernatural plumbers.
One reluctant, slightly drunk human.
A match made in heaven… or in the bathroom, rather.

My name is Arizona Smoke, and I’m the proud owner of a house haunted by my dead Gram, best friend to a cocktail dress loving werewolf, and apparent soul mate to four plumbers who also happen to be elemental dragons. Besides rippling pectorals, tattoos, a

Hey, I LOVE,Love,Love , a good Menage or Reverse Harem,( only ones where ALL the romantic and sexual attention is focused in the woman) and all the better w/a good story attached, but this ,this soo NOT good!!!
Ok,we have Ari a heroine of unspecific age and description, who doesn't seem all that bright and if she isn't an alcoholic already she's on her way to being th
I went in expecting to love this book, because I know that it was written by two talented authors, but it just did not do it for me.
The plot. We got to the point very early into the story (like, page 30, or something) and mostly, I liked where things were going.
“Complete the ritual by getting laid by four hot but admittedly annoying liars? Or get killed by naked, winged incubi and succubi bitches with guns?
It was kind of an easy choice.”

But, It felt as though the story was all over the pla

I’m not the biggest fan of reverse harem but every so often a synopsis will have me picking up another reverse harem book. Such is what happened with Elements of Mischief, the first book in the Hijinks Harem series. To me, it sounded like a book filled with things I enjoy – humour, supernatural happenings, and a series worth being addicted to – meaning I was happy to face the reverse harem if the other elements interested me.

Surprisingly, the revere harem was my favourite thing about this book.

Honestly I tried. I wanted to like this series because it was written by the same author as Spirited (which is an amazing book) so I picked this one since her other series did not appeal as much to me. I finished the first book and half of the second one, not because it was good just because I was hoping it would get better given Spirited was so great. But no, it did not happen so I just gave up.

First: There is no real story in the first half of book one. Just this lady gets forced into a marri

What the ACTUAL fuck? This book was absolutely ridiculous. I'm all about the smut for the sake of smut, but this was a wild, rushed ride with lots of forehead-slappingly stupid plumber jokes and plenty of rushed, mediocre sex.

I think the author was aiming for "funny and humorous", but instead ended up with "embarrassingly campy and slapstick". This what would happen if you put the dudes from Three Stooges into erotica.

If you want to write something steamy and erotic with a "real" plot as the s

Alright, DNF it is.

I couldn’t take it any fucking longer. I got to page 294, so I’m actually pretty proud of myself for lasting that long.
And I mean.. it was long.

Here are my notes I jotted down while reading this fucking GARBAGE. I hope you weren’t expecting a bad-ass MC. She’s actually pretty fucking stupid and I believe I lost a few brain cells along the way.

The plumber jokes and references were awful. That shit got annoying FAST.

DNF. I seriously skimmed through most of this story.

Man, this was just dumb. I feel like I seriously lost a few brain cells after finishing this book, even if I skimmed through it!

IMO, all the MC's were TSTL. Ari, the heroine, frequently mentions that she's dumb because "Oh! I'm no chemist. I'm just a barista." or "I'm no author. I'm just a barista." *insert eye roll* The men, who are lovers-and-brothers, seem to be rudderless, ambitionless, penniless bums that just want to have sex. And somewh

I heard its a funny book but its not, dnf at 30%. It doesnt even take 3 pages for the hero to reveal their true form to the heroine and tell her that she is going to be their mate...not even 3 fucking pages. The guys wants to have sex with her from the moment they meet and keeps manipulating her to fuck. There was no chemistry or connection..especially cuz the sex seemed so forced and then there are the guys who keeps saying that they have to have sex for the mating thing even tho its not even l ...more

This was quite a disappointment. After binge reading all of the Kit Davenport series last June, I immediately fell in love with Tate James as an author. I just finished Groupie by CM Stunich today and like damn that also blew me away. But Elements of Mischief?? It sadly dropped the ball.

There wasn't enough of a plotline to save this one. I was constantly confused by the random supernatural elements of the world and the weird attachment the guys had with Ari as soon as the met her. They basically
Oh my wow, best recommend ever!!

What do you do when you meet 4 totally hot Plumbers?

Let them clean your pipes of course.

Arizona smoke got a little more than she bargained for when she inherited her Gran's old run down mansion. She got bound and mated to 4 really hot... really broke... plumbers...

Let me start by saying there are so many things I love about this book. The guys were funny and hot and well there was some action around it. I love the world building and how they started to explain the

I didn’t like the main character she was annoying and an alcoholic. The boys were extremely manipulative while trying to be charming. I felt confused for most of the book because nobody could give anyone real information and the plumbing jokes were just too over the top. I enjoyed the storyline but I don’t think the story was executed very well.

I enjoyed this one! Not as much as the Kit Davenport books but it was really good! It was sexy as hell but I think the humor and all the plumber jokes were a little much after a while. I look forward to the next book though.

I had very high expectations for this book, however, mostly I was disappointed. Let me start with the positive. I enjoyed the very idea of elementals (plumbers or not), especially the part where not all of them are during the initial 'bonding'. Unfortunately, while the idea was good, the execution was lacking.

First of all, I was not happy with the story/smut ratio., i.e. there was much more sex than I though the story warranted. Also, I really hated the "I am a barista, not a (insert whatever oc

Lately, I have been on a reverse harem blitz, and I have quite enjoyed CM Stunich as an author, so when I saw a request for Elements of Mischief, it sounded like something that I would enjoy. In Elements of Mischief we have Arizona Smoke who has just inherited her grandmother's old mansion, and yes her grandmother's ghost haunts the place. In the first chapter, we read as Arizona is having trouble with the plumbing and is referred to Shane and his friends. They arrive and are doing their thing w ...more

I love Tate James and C.M S., but this book is a disappointment. I’m sorry, but its true.
RH. 4 guys. Elements. Supernatural. Mystery.

Okay, first off, the main character is weak and clueless. I DNF at 33%, I couldn’t take it anymore.

The guys framed her, forcing her to become supernatural and if she didn’t mate with them, she would be executed but other supernaturals. She is rightfully pissed off, but her hyper-sexualized self fantasies about sex whenever she sees them to the point w

I really tried but I just couldn’t get passed the forever plumber puns and her proclamation of being a barista. Plus the story was falling apart slowly, I just wasn’t even getting any warm and fuzzies about the characters. I didn’t like any of them. Plus they had sex in a dirty room. Gag! It might be good for some but for me it just didn’t work out. I wanted to enjoy the MC and the guys but I just didn’t. This is probably just me, since so many seem to really like it. Oookay. This book is funny but crazy as effin sh*t it’s confusing it hurts my head. These characters are waaaay too horny for orgies. If you’re into sexy double-penetration scenes, plumbing both bottom holes then you can read this RH book about getting elemental STD and some sh*t. But if you prefer starting a building romance then nope, this ain’t for you just like it isn’t for me. Sure it’s funny, but i don’t know... it’s just not my taste of RH.

True, Elements of Mischief sounds like a joke. Four sexy plumbers who can turn into dragon looking elementals. An out of work barista with a slutty best friend who has a penchant for canines. She's also being haunted by the ghost of her uptight grandmother. Throw them all together, add in hundreds of plumbing jokes and some seriously hot sex scenes and it sounds like a hoax, not the wildly entertaining book by two of the most talented writers in the Reverse Harem genre. But that's exactly what i ...more

Not my cup of tea
I did not care for Elements of Mischief. It assumed to much too soon. The plumber puns were funny at first but became distracting. There were too many things that left me scratching my head. The last few chapters had some redeeming moments but not enough for me to buy the next one in the series.
I absolutely adore The Vixen’s Lead by Tate James. It is in my top 3 BEST/MUST READ for 2017.

“It’s like a Stephen King novel—rotting undead dragons, a polygamist bad guy who also happens to be my biological father, and the only man I’ve ever loved, a man that I abandoned, reentering my life at the craziest possible moment?

I'm really torn over this book. I loved the concept - a reverse harem will get me every time. I loved the plumbers - well that goes without saying, but I couldn't bring myself to like Arizona (the female protagonist not the place!!).

Erm, honestly this book felt like it tried to hard and fell short because of it. Far too many plumbing jokes that made the sex scenes unsexy, and the book unfunny. One or two fine, but repeatedly is like someone telling you the same joke over and over and expecting a laugh every time.

I love C M Stunich and I love Para so I felt sure this would be a winner for me. And in the dramatic moments it almost redeemed itself. I honestly don't think this book knew what it was and where it fit, so it becam

2 Uggghhh stars. First off I love Tate James and C. M. Stunich.. I have read multiple series of theirs that I have thoroughly enjoyed from cover to cover. That being said this was not one of them. I don’t even know what went wrong here, it’s really a mess. I thought I was doing a reread of this but it turns out I’ve never read this I must have downloaded it at one time and then never got to it or something...

Elements of Mischief is perhaps the strangest book I have ever read. Raunchy (seriously-its a 5 flame read for sure!), funny, and filled with strange paranormal creatures, this book had me rolling my eyes at the bad "dad jokes", but totally engaged (which took me by surprise for sure!)

Ok, so this book was ridiculous, OTT, and Cheesy with a capital C. It is definitely not going to be everyone's cup of tea to be honest, but for some reason, I really enjoyed it

When a book contains a borderline alcoholic heroine, a dead grandma, 4 sexy supernatural plumbers, a villain that the characters call "cuntmuffin" because they can't pronounce or remember his actual name, and a supernatural organisation whose acronym makes for some ridiculously dirty lines throughout the st

So first things first...I needed to get my friend from Australia to translate a bunch of the colloquialisms used in Arizona’s vernacular lol I am ashamed to admit how long it took for me to understand what the heck kangaroos loose in the top paddock meant haha. Just thought i'd put that out there.

Anyway, I enjoyed the fun nature of this book. It obviously didn’t take itself too seriously and neither did its characters. The guys driving Ari insane was funny most of the time although things got re
