The Collage Ideas Book
Collage allows your creativity to run riot. It lets you juxtapose disparate elements, styles and media against each other and create something entirely novel, bizarre, arresting, beautiful, ironic or unsettling. Old and new can be fused together; digital and handproduced can be combined. What you can create with collage knows no bounds.

A lot of good ideas throughout the book, with a lot of different styles. I think the smaller size of the book makes it hard to get a good look at some of the artwork represented. Two artists I discovered here that I'm certainly going to seek out are James Read (who lets painted parts dry and then cuts/reapplies) and Janet Jones (who uses the worn edges of torn papers as landscapes).
This book includes some talented collage artists with different approaches and styles. I bookmarked a number of pages with inspiring images. But I think the editor would have done better to choose a larger format. The small reproductions rob many of the collages of impact, and those works with lots of small detail do not come across well. Happy to have the book nevertheless.
