Life lesson number two… If you’re dumb enough to let the love of your life go, don’t let years pass without trying to get him back.

Life lesson number three… If he does come back, don’t help him take over your father’s multi-million-dollar company…even if your father had it coming.

The Long Way by Alicve Tribue is a full length, standalone second chances novel written in a dual POV.
This is Ashtons story. Ashton Hayes has had a turbulent past. She was engaged, broke it off, married another man and 8 years later she has a failed marriage under her belt, is bitter and cynical. She's still trapped working for her father and now her life's about to change again, only she doesn't know it, yet.
When He shows up, she's speechless, Ashton never dreamed of ever meeting Him again. And

A great well written 2nd chance romance. Sam is a wonderful character, who is strong/hard yet soft/sweet. Ashton is beautiful character in her own way. I just didn’t enjoy how weak she was & allowed herself to be manipulated. He father controlled her life & manipulated her at every turn. The storyline was intriguing & kept me engrossed throughout. The chemistry between these two was scorching! I recommend this great book.

Told in dual POV.

This is the story of Sam and Ashton who fall in love while still in college, become engaged, but are torn apart by her controlling and abusive father. Fast-forward eight years and Ashton is working for her father, has just divorced a man that she did not love but was pushed into it by her father, and then suddenly comes face to face with Sam again. But this time, they are both different and Sam has long-awaited plans regarding Ashton’s father and his business.

Let me start by saying that the enti

I liked the author's previous work so I'm curious about the second chace feel to this. Ashton and Sam had it all but things changed suddenly. This huge rift for years until they meet again. At first I didn't get why the heroine had no backbone and terrified of her dad she does whatever and toes the line. I'm not sure why she's so afraid so he's can be cruel and a bad father but to go do his every bidding didn't sit right. I can see later on he's a manipulator and a sociopath really, the way he c ...more

I found myself really enjoying the characters of Sam and Ashton, they were flawed in ways that made them realistic . Alice Tribue does a great job of giving you just enough to feel the live chemistry and broken relationship between them.

As they reconnect, we get to understand who they are apart and the damage Ashton's father’s actions wreaked on both of them. I loved the bittersweet interactions between the two erstwhile lovers and had to keep reading to see how things would end for them. The au

A gripping second chance novel you wont want to put down!

When we first meet Sam and Ashton they are happy and newly engaged, fast forward to 12 years later and that isn’t the case anymore. Infact the two haven’t seen each for all those years. Until Sam suddenly enters Ashton life again and sets off a series of events that neither one expected.

I adored this book! The writing and story flowed so easily i found myself getting lost within the words, i didn’t put this book down till i had read the

Sam and Ashton were together 12 years ago, and are unexpectedly thrown back together now. I enjoyed the characters, I thought they seemed like real people and, mostly, I believed their actions and reactions. I did think the plot was a little predictable, and I definitely saw the plot twists coming, but it was well written and I was able to enjoy the title, even though I was pretty sure what was going to happen next.

I'm a fan of this author so I was thrilled to find that she was releasing a new book.

The Long Way is a slow burn, second chance romance with a few twists and turns and an ending that left me begging for this author to write another book. Sam's and Ashton's story was sweet and sexy and I completely devoured it. There were a few things I found a little frustrating but they did nothing to diminish the overall feel of this book. It was a nice slow burn full of misunderstandings, a few secrets and re

This is a second chance romance for Ashton and Sam. Ashton’s life and future is all mapped out by a controlling and abusive father. So when he finds out about Sam well let’s say they didn’t see each other for a few years. Now years later Sam is back but he’s not the same boy she left behind all those years ago.

It was good story but one that I didn’t feel a bond or attachment with the characters. For an odd reason they didn’t call to me. The story didn’t lack any entertainment. It was captivatin

It was very sweet. I really enjoyed this author's work. Although I did feel like some things were a little too predictable.

A Long Way is a second chance romance and I liked it a lot. Ashton and Sam had a long history together, and they never got over each other. Years apart couldn’t stop them from loving each other, so when a surprised meeting gotten them together, it didn’t take them long to connect with each other. So many years of heartache from losing each other is what almost didn’t get them back together, but with the strong love they had for each
