Pinkalicious and Peter go to the hidden cove to meet their friend Aqua, but the mini-mermaid is nowhere in sight. Instead, they see pirates…ARGHH!
Pinkalicious and the Pirates is a Level One I Can Read book, which means it’s perfect for children learning to sound out words and sentences.
Victoria Kann is the award-winning illustrator and author of the picture book series featuring the whimsical and effervescent character Pinkalicious. 'Pinkalicious and the Pirates' by Victoria Kann captures the fun and games that all of Kann's 'Pinkalicious' books include. The sense of fantasy within this one is stronger than in some of the others, as it's not everyday that a couple of kids come across a pirate ship and real pirates aboard. In true 'Pinkalicious' fashion, everything turns out all right, as can only be expected of a children's book of this nature, with cookies, sprinkles, a mermaid, a pink dolphin, and a talking parrot to boot!
Young children and their parents will enjoy this new addition to the 'Pinkalicious' series of books. The beauty of imagination may bring readers to travel on their own adventure to find their very own pirates or treasure at the beach!

I was too distracted by the whole "DON'T MAKE THE MERMAID WALK THE PLANK" ridiculousness to care about the rest of the story. (Seriously - the "merminnie" (ugh) would WANT to walk the plank, and go home away from the pirates.)
Also, cookies. Pirates make the best ones, apparently.
My little one loves anything Pinkalicious. And right now she's really into mermaids so this was the perfect book for us to read this summer. Cute but Simple Story.
These books are always adorable. Everyone got a kick out of the treasure chest full of cookies and the parrot shouting, “Cookie!” This was a quick read, and too cute.
Pinkalicious and the Pirates by Victoria Kann is a really wholesome story, as a longtime fan of Pinkalicious, I was beyond excited to see her take on a pirate adventure!! And as someone who loves pirates, I was hooked from the start. The way Victoria Kann blended these two worlds is pure magic. The story is full of energy, humor, and adventure, with illustrations that perfectly capture the whimsy and fun of it all :))
Pirate Story Time. Pinkalicious and Peter go to meet Aqua at the Beach when they come across two angry pirates. Is everything as it seems? Boys and girls alike enjoyed this adventure.
