From the basking shark and trumpetfish to the mimic octopus and the anglerfish, this nonfiction is full of gorgeous photos, interesting facts, and the best collection of what is odd and interesting about our planet's oceans. Animals are ranked on their appearance, weird abilities, rarity, and strangeness. My kids loved this book. They are huge ocean animal fans and they learned so much about animals they had never even heard of while reading this book. Did you know there is a dumbo octopus with ear flaps deep in the ocean? Did you know scientist are studying the immortal jellyfish to learn how it reverts from its adult form back into its juvenile polyp form? 40 incredible real, unique, bizarre animals fill the pages of this must read for ocean animal enthusiasts.
