"Do not leave today on your trip."

Four hours before her vacation flight to Spain, young mother Rachel Katz receives an anonymous text warning her not to go. Thinking it a prank, she and her husband, struggling hedge fund manager Zeke Katz, decide to ignore the message.

From the offices of an emerging hedge fund to the halls of Washington D.C., to the streets of Karachi and New York, Rachel and Zeke’s fateful decision will alter the course of human history and change their lives forever.

From thriller writer Jake J. Harrison comes a genre-bending thriller inspired by the Count of Monte Cristo, wrapped in global terrorism, financial machinations, quantum computing, political conspiracies, and end of the world prophecies.

"An exciting clash of power, faith, and deals. You won't want to put it down!" - Randall Krzak, author, The Kurdish Connection

This book had me turning pages long into the night. Only a few pages in I found myself caring about the characters (and skimming ahead to foresee the fate awaiting them--yes, I'm a book cheater), who are both flawed and passionate.

Set in present day, the story begins when a husband and wife part ways one morning. Zeke, the resourceful and aggressive protagonist, sets off to work for another morning of taking risks in the stock market. His wife Rachel boards a flight to visit her parents. Only a few tense moments later the plane is hijacked by terrorists, sending Zeke into a distraught yet ruthless pursuit for those responsible.

There are a lot of layers in this story and it takes a skilled writer to weave the differing points of view and back stories and bring them together cohesively. Harrison did a superb job building the stakes with each chapter and I eagerly look forward to his next offering.

Reminds me of early Tom Clancy books

This is not a fast read, but it is very good. At times it made me shudder because it seems like it could happen in the world today. Like Clancy's books, you are following several people through their paths that eventually come together. I will watch for more books by this author.

Excellent action saga

The story begins with an ordinary family, then quickly evolves into an action packed book. The dialogue is real, the characters flawed, and there are several twists to keep you guessing. There’s government intrigue as well as a rogue crusader. It’ll keep you on your toes.

The violence, the lack of character development and total disregard for science and humanity makes this unreadable. If anyone believes that there are good reasons to sanction indiscriminate murder, that person needs serious Anger management.

Evil stalls the Earth

You will never be the same after you read this book. At times it took my breath away. All our present day demons make an appearance.

Action packed with an intriguing plot and relatable characters. Leaves you questioning who the “bad guy” really is and who to trust. Definitely pick it up if you are into fast paced thrillers
