Once you start this book you won't stop reading. Sophie Moss knows how to pull you in fast and take you on a wild adventure full of twists and turns, making you laugh and cry. Her female characters are strong, intelligent and always highly creative. In fact all her characters are well developed, so much so that you want a book on each one! The romance is perfect-steamy and sweet. And who doesn't want to live on Seal Island? Can't wait for her next book.
I have to admit that these books can get a little cheesy with the whole True Love is the Greatest Power business (Sam: “I have never had anything to live for until I met you.”). A lot of the big reveals also felt super predictable to me so I wasn't all too surprised while reading. However, I do like the writing and how things are weaved together.

Glenna really pissed me off in this book because of how much she lied and deceived (she did in the others, too, but I guess it's because she was centre-

A sizzling, riveting finale to this enchanting trilogy! The brilliant way Moss ties up Sam and Glenna's story will have you on the edge of your seat. Action-packed, full of surprises, and beautifully written. I absolutely loved this book!

Wonderful Series

Absolutely fell in love with this series—the characters are all quirky and relatable—this series had a bit more magic in it than her Wind Chime series—but still lovely to read—all the plots moved at a good pace and I loved the conclusion....anxiously awaiting the next book that ties the two series together

Seal Island trilogy intriguing

Great flow. Really enjoyed how mythological stories were weaved into today's world. Looking forward to reading the Wind Chimes collection.

Great ending!

Great ending to a good story. I'm glad to hear she will be continuing the stories. Let's of new developments. I'll never look at the sea the same. Looking forward to reading more!

Throughout the past two book in the Seal Island Trilogy I have loved the little glimpses we’ve had into Glenna and Sam’s rather turbulent relationship, and was so excited for the third book that would tell their story.
Needless to say I was not disappointed. I absolutely adored every page of this book just as I loved the last ones, and Sophie Moss’ beautiful prose with which I connected to so much was again present, beautiful descriptions of the magical Irish landscape making the story seem so r

I received a copy of The Selkie Sorceress in exchange for my review.

Glenna has been trying to avoid Sam and send him away ever since he arrived on the island. But much to her annoyance, as well as her secret pleasure, he just won't seem to budge. When Sam takes on one last investigation from Tara, to find her husband's lost mother, Glenna knows that she has to stop him. Seemingly working with her mother, the sea witch, on this, Glenna

I started writing this review and realized it was almost exactly the same as the ones I wrote for the first two. It isn't that the books are monotonous or repetitive because they aren't. I loved each one separately for their unique stories, but the thing they have in common is Sophie Moss' TALENT. This author has a well developed voice that has style and is a joy to read.

The Selkie Sorceress, like its predecessors, is a very well written book. Sophie Moss presents a climactic and engaging end t
As an ending to the series, it was more than I could have hoped for. Everything tied together so nicely, and I loved how the first two books' plots intertwined with this third novel. They weren't stand alone books, and I loved the way Sophie Moss weaved the story throughout all of them. Sam and Glenna's love for each other was so beautiful and true, and I just swooned at Sam's unrelenting passion and love for her. He was one of my favorite characters; he never gave up on her, and he was strong e ...more

The Selkie Sorceress by Sophie Moss is an thrilling conclusion to the Seal Island Trilogy. The story centers around local Irish artist Glenna, a clairvoyant who also performs a bit of magic. Although Glenna has sworn off men after several relationships ended badly, she falls for Sam, the American investigator hired to locate Tara in Selkie Spell. The story begins with Sam investigating the disappearance of Liam's and Dominik's mother, Brigid, over 25 years ago. Unbeknownst to Sam, Glenna is usin ...more

Selkies and mermaids, who would have known ? Well I didn't but the author clearly has a broader knowledge of such things than I. I've read both of the earlier books of this series and enjoyed them, but this one is something different, something deeper, a stronger story.

There is a romance angle like in the other books, and it is still central to the story but it is not The Story. And, readers probably need to have met the main characters in the earlier books to really get a sense of the undercurr

I don't know what you are supposed to say as a title for a book you thought was really great. As the last one in the trilogy it finished on a happier note, and deservedly so for all the characters and all the torments the writer put them through.
It seems like the subject and the myth are very important to the writer for this tale as there is so much to it, so many contrasts and similarities drawn between the Christian values and the pagan ones, the Disney version of the fairy tale and the darker

This is the third book, although it reads like a follow on from the last, another brilliant read, its packed full, and so fascinating, i loved everything about it, the story, the characters how they intertwine with each other, and the Irish folklore, even though this is a story of fiction some of the Irish folklore is believed by Irish folk and sung about. It seems that the story is leading to something, the whole story isnt told, that there is more to come, the book draws you into its pages, en ...more

The wonderful conclusion to a magical, romantic trilogy. I love Glenna and Sam. I've loved them from the first book. Starting this one with all the history from the first two was perfect and it is lovely to check in on the couples from the earlier novels. This is very much an ensemble story, there are lots of players, but it is still primarily Sam and Glenna's love story. I found the balance perfect.Glenna has some secrets that even private investigator, Sam, will have trouble finding. But Sam i ...more

The Selkie Sorceress takes us to the story of Sam Holt, the detective from The Selkie Spell, and Glenna, the mysterious friend of both Tara and Caitlin. Here you learn of deep secrets put across in such a wonderful way by Sophie Moss. This book keeps you guessing and ties everything together brilliantly.

I was thrilled with this conclusion to the trilogy and I only wish it had been long

I bought this as soon as it was released I was so keen to be sure it was on my Kindle! After the first two books, I was excited to discover Glenna’s story, and it was a pleasure to uncover it.
In the previous novels we’d been teased by the burgeoning romance between Glenna and Sam, and this book begins with Sam’s return to the island, and the effect Glenna’s name has on him is tantalising… Sam’s preoccupied with a case linked to the story, and Glenna is doing her best to ignore the frisson betwe

Sophie Moss weaves an enchantment that truly will sweep you up in its magic and carry you effortlessly away. I love the way she uses fairytales and the Selkie mythos not just as a backdrop to her stories but as the engine driving a beautifully tangled plot. Her descriptions of life on Seal Island is so compelling that its hard not to run book a flight as soon as you finish any one of these book. But my favorite thing about this trilogy is that the love story isn't just about two people finding t ...more

The action packed finale to the Seal Island Trilogy, The Selkie Sorceress follows the story of the mysterious Glenna and private investigator, Sam as he tries to unravel the final mystery surrounding the islands and finding himself blocked at every turn, possibly by the person he loves.

Though not quite as lyrical as the first two books of the series, Sophie Moss keeps the action rolling, soaring to the peak and then ebbing into a satisfying ending that is sure to please all of us who love a hap

Each one of the characters that I have grown to love throughout the trilogy has a special part to play in the larger story of the conflict between the Sea Witch, the selkies, and the mermaids, and they rally together to fight for each other and their island home. Ultimately this action-packed book is a powerfully touching story of the bonds of love between family and community. Sophie Moss does a wonderful job of unfolding the mysterious connection among the selkies, the fairy tale of The Little ...more

I thoroughly enjoyed all three of these books.

This book wrapped everything up perfectly and left no loose ends.

I really liked how the legend of the Selkies was woven together with mermaids. I also like how the original story of The Little Mermaid was worked into it.

This book didn't disappoint, the story only became richer and more beautiful as it went along. My only wish was at the very end Nuala would have made an appearance out in the water at the wedding. Other than that, this book was perfec

Too often, the third book in a trilogy is a letdown, but that is not the case with Sophie Moss’s third book, The Selkie Sorceress. The story transports you to a world of enchantment where the unbelievable seems possible. Moss has a talent for painting word pictures so that you’re seeing the characters and the action and not just reading about it. I found this to be a more edge of your seat story than the two that preceded it and the buildup to the climax will keep you up past your bedtime.

My Review: The last of this series is maybe my favorite. It seemed a little more dark and the plot takes many twists and turns. The Sea Witch is at her worst and that is a great thing. The whole island, and the people on it are threatened with their very lives, as Sam unravels this final Fairy Tale come true. Great story well written and edited. I would highly recommend this series to anyone. 5 stars goes out to MS. Moss.

The Selkie Sorceress was the third in a trilogy I really didn't expect to like when I started it, and ended up loving. Sophie Moss has a great ability to create characters I can care about, and to present mythological, fantastical, paranormal individuals and events in a way that seems perfectly plausible. I'm ready to travel to Ireland to find the selkies and mermaids myself, and to learn which other Irish legends might really be true. Leprechauns, anyone?

WOW- what a series! Not my typical read but SO glad I did! Read books 1-3 in two and a half days. It's quite the page turner..the suspense and drama had me sitting on end- and I'm not usually a nail biter. Add this to your must read list- it won't disappoint! Can't wait for the next book in this series!!!

What a wonderful trilogy

This last book was my favorite. All three books were wonderful. Lots of excitement, drama, love and surprises. I really think you need to read all three in order, but each are great on their own too. I wish this story had more books coming. I loved all the characters and will miss all the adventure.

The Selkie Sorceress is the perfect ending to the Seal Islane Trilogy. I loved both The Selkie Spell and The Selkie Enchantress, but Sophie Moss has continued to hone her writing skills. She has you pulling for Glenna and Sam from the very first page. The ending is surprising and enchanting. I can't wait to see what Sophie Moss writes next.
