This had some GREAT stuff in the first few chapters, but after that, it kind of developed into a really technical, in-depth "how to form a Bible study" book. I DON'T KNOW. It's just not what I expected. Kind of dry and overly technical. I feel like the title is misleading . . . I took it to mean this was something EVERYONE would use in their normal devotional times, but it ended up being something a speaker, teacher, or pastor would use.
Like I said, some great stuff in the beginning and some useful tips + truths sprinkled throughout. It taught me some important things, but ultimately, not something that I felt personally applied a lot unless I plan on becoming a speaker on the Bible.
(Oh, and there were moderately interesting videos to accompany the reading. So it wasn't a total snooze-fest. xD)
This was another book that I read for my Bible class. While I did enjoy reading and learning from it, towards the last bit, it became very repetitive. It did get the point across, but it was less easy to go through because I kept reading the same ideas over and over. The first part of it was wonderful though! I learned a lot and would recommend this book to anyone looking for a beginning point for Bible study.
