Ad Agency #3

Field-Tripped

I was done with games. But playing with her is so much fun.

Ten years ago, I was all set to compete in the winter Olympics. Then I lost everything—my career, my best friend, and my girlfriend.

After that, I stopped playing games for good. I swore never to go back to Colorado. Too many bad memories. Plus, she’s still there.

Now I live a simple life as a creative director at Shimura Advertising in New York. All is good, until my boss cons me and my coworkers into spending two weeks in Colorado at Proton Sports’ sleep-away camp for adults, pitching their business. Turns out Proton’s idea of a pitch is making the agencies battle each other in a bunch of ridiculous winter games.

Guess who owns the rival company? Her. And she’s out to get me.

I might just let her win.

Archer’s lengthy career as an advertising copywriter not only polished her writing skills, it provided a lifetime of book material. Many months her book purchases are as high as her mortgage. As a full-time, working single mom of a beautiful, brilliant, and horrifically energetic son, she has little time to do much else but work, write, read, drink wine, and breathe.

5+++++++++ Crazy, Beautiful Stars**********

The Ad Agency Series keeps getting better, and better with each book. Field Tripped Is a sexy romance, full of endless laughter. I literally had to take the day off, because I couldn’t put this book down. I had the best time reading this book, it made me giddy with excitement, and filled me up with beautiful anticipation for the holidays.

Field Tripped is the third installment of the Ad Agency Series, this book can be read as a stand-alone. Each book in the series is about a different couple. Each book unique, but all equally fun!

068303_BC_46_C7_441_C_9_F4_A_D0_E951_C13_FA2

Eli, we’ve met in previous books as he works at the Shimura Ad agency as the creative designer. Recently he’s done some changes to his life. He’s traded his busy and complicated days for a more simple and peaceful existence. He quit his DJ/ Music producer career, and even sold all his furniture and valuables in search of a more simple and meaningful life. He’s even subscribed to an app that gives him daily Buddhism quotes.

Eli just learned from his boss that the whole agency must go on a work trip to Colorado. To Eli’s hometown, where he left behind a very painful past, one he doesn’t wish to go back to.

Charlie is a girl who’s lost a lot. Ever since the death of her family, she’s lived a reckless life, full of extreme sports, countless one-night stands and bad choices. Her heart has been broken for years and no matter what she does, nothing helps. But she’s ready for a change, and the Ad Agency competition in Colorado might be just the thing she needs to get the final push in her advertising company to help her finally close this chapter of her life, and start a new one.

The last thing Charlie expected was to come face to face with the man, she hasn’t even allowed herself to say his name, at this work event. The beautiful man who put the final nail in the coffin of her heart and then ran away to never come back.

Eli and Charlie never thought they would see each other again, but now that they are right in front of the other, the plethora of feelings is just too much. Hate, love, lust, melancholy, is all too much for these two crazy kids, but lucky for us we get to experience how this crazy adventure will unfold.

Nicole Archer writes happy books that make readers feel good. They are full of humor, second chances, and hope. Which is why I recommend them to EVERYONE. This third book was so amazing I couldn’t get enough.

The crazy cast is back in this third installment in the Ad Agency! Like I’ve said before Nicole Archer is a force to be reckoned with.  I’d say up there with some of the top romcom bestselling greats! As with her first two books, Field-Tripped is full of character and charm.  The passion is intense, emotions wild but still tempered with clever dialogue and scenes that leave you in hysterical giggles.

Oh, and her books are HOT hmmm.  Anyhoo, I digress…LOL

The MC’s in this installment are creative director Eli and his past love Charlie.

Eli is a former Olympic athlete who has traded in his past life for a lower key one as the creative director for Shimura Ad Agency.  He’s looking for no commitments, no complications, no more heartache and an attempt at peace.

Little does he know that’s about to change when Eli’s boss manipulates he and his co-workers into going to Eli’s hometown in Colorado.  A hometown he’d hope to never see again.  Soon a simple work trip turns into a series of winter competitions that Eli must take part in if there’s any hope of securing a new client.  Then he’s faced with the worst possible scenario!  He comes face to face with his ex, Charlie.  The same ex that sent him running for the hills dragging his battered heart behind him.

Charlie is an emotional wreck with a history of extreme behavior and feels broken. But now she wants to make a change, face life and fight for her future.  The competition sounds like just the thing to help her push her career forward so she can grab hold of that future.

But of course things can’t be simple as Eli and Charlie come face to face.  Neither thinking they’d see the other again and soon becoming aware that there is a cesspool of anger, love, resentment and heartache that hasn’t gone away.  Sparks fly, anger burns and let the games begin!

This book is stellar!  So why didn’t I give it a full 5-star rating instead of 4.5?  I felt like it took too long for the big reveal as to what had happened between them.  It was a tad bit frustrating.  But meh!  It’s minor and I adored this book.

If you’re looking for a light hearted, grin splitting, second chance romance go no further!  You won’t regret it.

Book was obtained from the author/publisher for free.  I've provided an honest and voluntary review.

Archer's third book in the hilarious Ad Agency series is what I would call a "wham, bam, thank you ma'am" whirl of fun and sexiness. While the first book in the series, Road-Tripped, was also very hilarious and sexy, it kept you hanging on the edge of your seat with the sexual tension, in a good way, and brought out a lot of emotions. Book 2, Head-Tripped, brought the emotions front and center, mixed in with the sexiness, and a sprinkle of hilariousness. As with the first two, we get the story from both of our main characters, which is something I love! You get to see both of their point of views, both of their thoughts and feelings, which makes those moments when you normally would be wondering why the heck someone was being so stupid or crazy in their decision, become more understandable, because you get just what they were thinking when they do that ridiculous behavior.
These two characters are in a second-chance romance, and it seems as if the fates have conspired to bring them back together. Both of them are stubborn and are feeling as if things that happened in the past were either their fault, or even if they believe that, they still believe the other one is the cause of why things went wrong. The drama between the two is so back and forth, hilariously so, exactly as this author is so great as doing. It's totally an "I hate you! Kiss me!" Reminds me of a specific scene from the movie Spacebars, which you can see, and read the rest of my review on Lisa Loves Literature on Saturday.

Field-Tripped Ad Agency book #3  by Nicole Archer

5 review by Nicole @EBR

This stupendously sexy series of oddballs, misfits and miscreants, has got to be the most consistently hilarious, thought-provoking, heart-breaking and uplifting in the romance genre to date.   Each book seems to bring something a little crazier, a little more unexpected and outrageous with it and in turn, causes me to fall further in love with the entire assortment of characters from the Ad Agency, even the truly atrocious and annoying ones.  Which to me is a sure sign of a fabulous writer.

Field-Tripped stood out a little more for me than its predecessors, maybe because it was a second-chance romance and I am addicted to those.  Or maybe because it seemed to have a little bit more angst and strife throughout, a much more complicated and compelling storyline with a touch more tragedy and trouble.  Either way, Field-Tripped makes a big statement.

Nicole Archer’s brand of humour is literally perfect.  It’s dry, sarcastic, biting and side-splitting funny with each character adding something significant to the enjoyment of the over-all story.

What I absolutely loved about our heroine this time around was how unapologetic she was when it came to her life and how she lived it. She owned it all.  The wins, her lapses in judgement, the past.  Yes, she made mistakes.  Huge ones.  But she was just a hard working career woman who loved getting the D in her V and snuggling with her dogs.  As, fierce, independent and strong as a Beyonce song, Charlie only admits defeat and a sense of loss when it comes to her one weakness- Eli St. James.  Charlie is a walking contradiction, or perhaps just an animated shell of who she once was or truly is.  So very lonely, sad and afraid she puts on her mask as a ball-busting, smiling, confident sexual woman, it is only when in Eli’s company that she is forced to re-evaluate who she actually is, as the cracks begin to appear in her chilly heart-broken armour.  In fact Eli describes her best.

‘Charlie hasn’t changed at all.  She’s still “the girl next door” meets “private school porn star”.  Always the walking contradiction- aloof yet affectionate, strong and soft, raw and cultured, sweet and dangerous, wild as hell and calm as…Never mind.  She’s not the slightest bit calm.  In fact she’s insane.  I’m not kidding.  The rest of it though, I’m not making it up.  She’s a puzzle made up of a million pieces-impossible to figure out.’

Eli was someone I wasn’t overly fond of in the previous books but in true Nicole Archer style she takes the misconceived arrogant a$$hole role and flips it on its head.  She gives Eli substance and heart and a boat-load of pain and confusion to navigate through.  He is so much more than the stereotypical manwhore and part-time DJ.

This is why I adore Nicole Archer’s writing style.  It’s terrifically comical and witty but with a soft edge.  Her dialogue is always on point, snappy, fast-paced one-liners and a generous amount of romance and emotion.  Oh and filthy, filthy sex scenes.  Real down and dirty sex scenes.  The best kind of sex scene.  The kind your significant other is going to write sonnets to Nicole Archer for, for writing those kinds of words.

Field-Tripped is a terrific addition to an already magic series.  It has fun, humor, heart and just enough tragedy and angst to keep things remarkably interesting.

I don’t even know where to begin. I am truly a blank for words right now. I loved this book so fucking much. I can’t believe a person who reads as much as I do has escaped the greatness that is Nicole Archer until now. But have no fear, a binge read of book 1 and 2 is scheduled soon! This woman’s style and voice is addictive and unparalleled. It’s fresh and unique and I just couldn’t get enough. I had to slow down my reading so it wouldn’t end so fast!

Chicken and Loser , oh how I love thee! What a loveable cluster-fuck these two were! Their second chance to get it right was ridiculously humorous. It wasn’t just their journey that had me laughing to the point of tears; it was every other character in the path as well. I have NEVER had this much fun reading a book! This is a rom-com on steroids, I tell ya! And when you read it, you will be SO enthusiastic; you’ll feel like you’re high on life! #TRUST

There is not a single thing I could say about this book in the negative. NOTHING. So do yourselves a favor and one-click because everyone deserves this much happiness while they read a book! It is the perfect blend on emotion and lighthearted bliss. It is a fabulous story of two people kismet, trying their best to get it right this time around. It is a story of family and friendship and growth and love, trust and hope. And it’s all wrapped up in a cocoon of FUN !!

4.5 Chicken-Feathers Stars!!!

I was told by a good friend to read Nicole Archer, so when I saw this book coming out, I knew I wanted the chance to read and review it. And boy, am I glad I did. Another notch on my list of authors climbing up the charts.

First off, I adored the humor in this book. Humor is my #1 favorite part of life and books. This book had me remembering The Office with each character having their own niche and role. Group dynamics is a huge part of this book. Two businesses take a trip to a ski resort with each team competing against each other to win an account. Eli is begrudgingly returning to his hometown for this business trip, where old memories lie. He is terrified of running into his ex. Of course, that is exactly what happens, and a story of second-chances begins.

Eli (aka “Loser”). Be still my heart. This man is wonderful. He has a Jim-vibe (The Office) but with a beard and maybe not as light-hearted, but definitely down-to-earth and loveable. He heart has been broken years ago, and he is trying to find himself (this all sounds morose, but I promise it’s not).

Charlie (aka “Chicken”). Be stiller my heart. She is what dreams are made of. This chick could take me in a verbal sparring and still have me for dinner. She is the definition of spunk, all hard on the outside, but a softy gooey mess inside. And only Eli knows the gooey part of her. When these two see each other again, it’s instant evil-eyes, but of course it’s instant attraction too, as they have LOTS of unfinished business, confused feelings and miscommunications.

I love that neither Eli or Charlie take themselves too seriously. What could have been a tear-jerker of angsty proportions (*gag) instead turns out to be one of my perfect reads. At the same time, Archer weaves those words that evoke just enough feels to make the book mean something. They are genuine, and their actions are unpredictable, much like real life. Eli and Charlie have such a rich history that only the few can dream of, growing up together and knowing all the dirty little secrets from those intimate young moments.

Of course, I cannot leave out the FIRE in this book. Despite the fact they despise each other in the beginning, that doesn’t stop them from fooling around rather quickly into story. And when they finally start hooking up, STEAM!!!

Nicole Archer’s writing style reminds me of Susan Elizabeth Phillips, who I practically worship. So be forewarned Nicole, you may be part of my new Religion of Favorite Authors soon (*wink).

What have I been missing?!?!? Nicole Archer is a new-to-me author that I have put on my stalking list. Field-Tripped is a second chance romance between a loser and a chicken. This story had me laughing until I couldn't breath and shedding a few tears. There's a bit of a surprise at the end that made me love the author even more.

Charlotte 'Charlie' Sullivan needs Proton Sports to hire her advertising company so she can sell her business. She's ready to move on to new adventures. The only obstacle in her way is the Shimura Agency.

Elliot 'Eli' St. James has to go on a work trip for Shimura Agency to Colorado. It's last place he wants to be after he left ten years ago. He had lost everything, his career, his best friend and the love of his life. What are the chances that he would run into her?

Not only do Charlie and Eli rekindle their romance but they also compete in the most hilariously funny winter games. It's a fight to the end or sometimes just to the bar. It's not only a competition between two rivaling companies but also to rivaling hearts.

The characters are real, their insecurities, their pain, their misunderstandings are well developed. Then again, this story is not only about complex characters working out their issues. There's also plenty of humor. Eli killed me with his spirituality in a form of an app. I really enjoyed Field-Tripped. Let the author stalking begin. 5 Stars

Sometimes there are books that you love so much that want to find all of the right words to do it justice. I am going try so very hard to do that here. But first – the first two books in Nicole Archer’s Ad Agency series have bene languishing on my TBR and for that I am so very sorry. I know. I know. Stupid me. I plan to rectify this in the very near future. Don’t be like me – get your hands on all three of these books – TODAY. Because after reading Field-Tripped, I am a true believer in this series. Nicole Archer can flat out write. I love that she can balance my kind of droll humor with a poignancy with that never feels cloying. Its populated with characters that are far from sugar-coated – they do and say stupid things, but there is an acceptance among them all that is really missing in our world right now.

Field-Tripped is a second-chance-workplace-romance that is packed with all of the above. It put me through my paces emotionally. I really connected to the workplace aspect because sometimes co-workers become your second family, or in some cases, your adopted family. I loved seeing the dynamic of the relationships – the kindnesses, the unspoken truths, the willingness to sacrifice. That really just spoke to me. Not to get bogged down, this book made me laugh. Just laugh.
Charley (Charlotte) and Eli though. They have a 20+ years of love, loss and a full set of Samsonite between them. In flashbacks we see a love that nothing could ever possibly extinguish – they are Buttercup and Westley, but with dirty talk and hot sex. They are nowhere near perfect, but for each other they are. Even in their most difficult moments, it was impossible not to love them. Which I did. Completely.

There is so much goodness in this book. I really can’t wait to enjoy Road-Tripped and Head-Tripped, but I am also looking forward to what comes next in this series…..the possibilities have me absolutely giddy with anticipation.

Get your hands on each one of these books and savor each and every one.
Happy reading!!!

Title: Field Tripped (Ad Agency #3)
Author: Nicole Archer
Genre: Romance, Humour
Publication Date: October 30, 2017

ARC

Field Tripped is a second chance romance novel and if you know me you know that I have a soft spot for a 'second chance' novel.
I am sorry but this just didn't do it for me. Granted it had hilarious moments which were to die for and Charlie's (The girl) ability to give hilarious names to her pets case in point her border collie, Julius Seizure! hahaha! Let's not forget L.L Drool J, her St. Bernard Hahaha!
There are so many moments which would make you laugh so much but sadly I just could not connect with these two. Plus it didn't help that it took what felt like forever for us to finally know what happened between Charlie and Eli. And it wasn't one of those slow burns too... but yes there were a lot of banters between them, a lot of frustration and lots of angry sex but eh. Truth be told, I got bored half way through and I felt like It was dragging on and on.
Another truth, I prefer the Road Tripped ( Ad Agency #1) more so if you have to read a Nicole Archer book give that one a try.

If you follow my reviews, you probably know that I am a HUGE fan of this author [and this series]! Of all the rom-coms I've read to date, no one has made me laugh with their stories as hard as Nicole Archer does. Superbly written, witty, super fun, filled with characters who I like to describe as 'colorful' and dialogue that makes you guffaw, these books are perfection! And let's not forget the feels because those are very much present and make for that awesome cherry on top of what is already a perfect story. Every time. Of all the new authors/series I discovered this year - and there has been many - Nicole Archer and her AD AGENCY series is up there. Every time I wake up to the newest books of hers on my Kindle, I know the next couple of days will be filled with nothing but joy because that's what her writing/stories make me feel.

The best part of this series, besides everything I mentioned above, is that each book can be read as 100% standalone. And as much as I LOVED the previous two books in the series, Charlie and Eli of Field-Tripped stole my heart because I am a sucker for a second chance romance!

So what I am trying to say is that I dare you to pick up any of the three available books by this author and not fall head over heels in love with the way she tells a story about characters who are so imperfectly perfect!

Cheers!

P.S. The entire series comes with the most amazing interactive playlist which elevates an already amazing reading experience to a whole new level of awesomeness!

There is nothing worse than unintentionally hurting someone you love so much...
Eli St. James, former Olympic athlete in snowboard racing has been hiding out as a creative director at Shimura's Ad agency and living life without any attachments, without any problems... believing simplicity is the key to happiness. When his boss guilts him into going on a field trip with the rest of his team to win an account for the agency... little does he know he's about to go face to face with the only person of his past he hates... his ex-girlfriend! But is it really hate? Take a zany ride down the slopes with these two weirdos who swim in a sea of imperfections, witness their flaws and baggage and see how they try to figure themselves out in a really messed-up sort of way! A hilarious second chance Deep RomCom which reminds you of 80's slapstick comedies ... a race of organized chaos... two former lovers who love-hate-love-hate and love each other all over again. 5+ Quirky and Amusing Stars for "Field-Tripped"... which teaches us that we must seize life by the... AHEM... to do something amazing... no room for guilt... only forgiveness!

Can be read as a standalone

I think it's the case of the "it's not you, it's me."

Humor: Jokes weren't really my style. Too much swearing. Didn't really enjoy the sex jokes.

Characters: Again... too much swearing. Too much drama. All characters difficult to connect with.

Overall story: A bit unorganized. I had a strong desire to rush to the end.

For me, Field-Tripped didn't have the same flare and quality as the previous books.

‘That’s what love’s really about. We’re all flawed. We’re all messy. We all have baggage. But when someone dives in and happily swims around in our sea of weird, and you want nothing more than to float around in that person’s pool of imperfections – that’s love. And that’s how I felt about him.’

And so it went….We needed more Nicole Archer fabulousness, and dove straight into Field Tripped after finishing the previous Ad Agency books, Road-Tripped and Head-Tripped. Besides the stellar writing, the characters we’ve come to know and love and the warmth and happiness these books bring us, the Ad Agency Series gave us those excited book feelings. You know, the ones where every second you put the book down is a second too long, when all you want to do is shut out the world and immerse yourself in the story.

Field Tripped is a true second chance romance and tells the story of 31 year old, Elliott (Eli) St James, a designer at the Shemura Ad Agency whom we’ve met in previous books, and he’s a character we instantly warmed to and completely lost our minds over him in this book! TALK ABOUT HOT and sweet and witty and…yummmm. Eli is unexpectedly set to match wits with his childhood sweetheart, Charlotte (Charlie) Sullivan, when Shemura, and Charlies rival Ad Agency are pitted against each other in a madcap pitch for a client at a Camp in Colorado. The last thing either of them expected, or wanted was to once again be reunited after their bitter split and shocking heartbreak years earlier.

“I’ve missed you, Elliott…..I’ve missed you forever.”
'My chest traps my breath. I lower my hand and don’t tell her what I’m thinking. I miss you, too.’

There is so much animosity and unresolved issues between Charlie and Eli who haven’t seen each other since Eli left Colorado for New York ten years previously. A lot of water has passed under the bridge, a lot of bitter resentment is exposed between the two of them, together with a load of misplaced guilt over a past tragedy. One things for sure though, there are a LOT of feelings between the two, both emotionally and physically.

‘That voice. It belongs to the same woman who sliced out my heart ten years ago.’

We bear witness to Charlie and Eli working through their emotions albeit in a very humorous way as only Nicole Archer can. Think of those rom-com movies we all love, how they stay with us, and give us a glow whenever we think about them or discuss them, and that’s how we feel about the Ad Agency series. They’re a sexy, sweet, swoony funny and fabulous indulgence!

‘I thought he’d be there for me, not matter what. That was back when I believed in love.’

Nicole Archer once again charmed us with all the elements that drew us into the preceding books (each can be read as a standalone but we loved reading them all), yet she created something different for each story, so much so, that even after reading the three books on the trot we never once found anything to be regurgitated or overused. Again, the humour, the steam, the romance…it all flowed so naturally, with the musical aspect bringing a sense of familiarity to the mix.

‘The deadly St James smirk – breaking hearts for decades.’

We loved Field Tripped. We loved Eli and Charlie, their little dogs, the grouchy Burt and the irreverent Skip, in fact ALL the characters, once again entertained and won us over with their unique personalities.

If you love second chances romances, then you’re most definitely going to fall head over heels for Field Tripped. We’re going to miss Charlie and the Bearded Clam. We’re going to be on this Ad Agency ride right through to the end because we are dying for more of these quirky, fun and loving characters!

The crazy group at the Shimura Ad Agency are back.
This time with a second chance romance.

As this book can be considered a standalone, I had no trouble following along, given that I read book one, but not book two. You do get a spoiler as to what couple got together in book two, but whether you've read any or all of the books in the series, it is easy to follow along here.

My first thought when seeing this book was about Elliott "Eli" St. James was . . . thank God he doesn't end up with Sabrina. That girl is a H-O-T M-E-S-S!!! It was clear why he enjoyed his brief time with her and her assets *coughs*, but it is also clear how hard it would be to maintain any form of relationship with her long term. Not much upstairs with that one.

So, who is the lucky lady to win Eli's affections?
A blast from the past, Charlotte "Charlie" Sullivan.
While the attraction between Charlie and Eli hasn't died over their years apart, neither has the hostility. Cue the angry sex!

It takes a loooooong time for us to get the full story on what happened between Charlie and Eli to drive them apart. Without spoilers, it was both their faults. A brush with danger has them finally opening up and getting past the emotional damage previously caused.

"I've missed you forever."

Similar to book one, Shimura is fighting to stay in business. For this go around, they are battling Charlie's company to win a contract with Proton Sport. To win that contract, the two agencies will have to go thru a series of crazy games, with a little team bonding along the way. The events not only pit Charlie and Eli against one another, but touch on the wacky cast of characters who represent both agencies.

I'm not sure if this series will continue or how, but I feel like we all deserve Skip's story, so hopefully that will be in the lineup.

If you are looking for some laughs mixed with some serious angry sex, check this one out.
(Bonus points for the playlist at the beginning of each chapter. Loved that!)

Fun Fact - I didn't even read the blurb of this book because I knew Nicole would make my life with her story no matter what.

Eli has 99% conquered the path to being a superchill zen master. He has zero attachments and totally proud of it. Then his boss ruins everything and now he has to go on a work trip to Colorado, the one place he swore he'll never return to. He wanted to stay far away from his painful past and her.

Charlie lost everyone she's ever loved and now she's left with her job and her trusted dogs. She never thought she'd meet the man who broke her heart ever again. But suddenly they are work rivals competing to win the same client and she can't seem to shake off the effect he always had on her.

All the hate, love, pain and pleasure comes back in full force making Eli and Charlie's life both hard and better. Can these two give love another shot?

I am crying because of how good this freaking book was. I am in love with each and every book of this series. I adore how the characters are different and quirky but at the same time they are the realest of souls who you connect to on the deepest level.

The diversity in characters makes this book one of THE MOST AMAZING things to have happened to the Indie Book Community. I adore this series with all my heart, I freaking love Eli, Charlie, Shimura, Avery and yes even psycho Sam. Reading this series is like watching your favourite sitcom which has every character you could ever love.

Field Tripped - Nicole Archer

I received this book for an honest and unbiased review.

Nicole Archer always delivers a great story and Field Tripped is no exception. A perfect addition to The Ad Agency Series.

Charlie and Eli are perfect, having grown up together and Eli becoming part of Charlie’s family through his best friend status with her brother. But fate handed them a tragic loss, and sent them spiraling off on their personal journeys, none of which are pretty or end with a happily ever after.

Ten years later they are thrust back into each other’s lives when they are each working on the advertising field and are pitching for the same business.

There are some hilarious shenanigans with the gang from Shimura Advertising when they are pitted against The Orion Agency in a battle of epic proportions, to win the business of Proton Sports.

This is an emotionally charged story, bringing in to play many of the characters from the previous books in the series but beautifully integrating them into a heartwarming and at times crazy story.

Thoroughly enjoyed this book and look forward to anything Nicole Archer writes. This is the type of series you’ll go back and read time and again.

Field Tripped by Nicole Archer is the third book in the Ad Agency Series. Every book is about another couple and is a standalone.
Elliott - Eli - St. James, is a former athlete and now graphic designer for a advertising company in NY. He´s forced by his boss to go on a team- trip into the Colorado mountains and compete for a new client.
Charlotte - Charlie - Sullivan owns her own advertising company and is the head of the rival team.
Both have a common past and now they´re forced to spend two weeks together and compete against each other.
They have a love-hate relationship and a lot of baggage. Both have issues and invisible scars.

Field Tripped is a fun and witty read. Lean back and lets see who wins.
Field Tripped is my favorite read in the Ad Agency Series. The writing is great and I love the story and the characters. They can´t be with and can´t be without each other. You can feel their emotions in the words!

Favorite Quote: " Home is where the broken heart is. " Eli.
I recommend Field Tripped and give 5 stars. Thank you, Nicole Archer !

Insanity. CuCu-Crazy Romantic Comedy based on true-life Advertising Agency escapades. I can definitely say that "Field Tripped" is a stand alone novel. Jumping into Book Three of the Ad Agency series wasn't confusing at all. Though I feel I must read the rest. The cast of characters in this book are just that a bunch of characters! The snark, name-calling, and slapstick comedy is all amazing! It's not just Laugh-Out-Loud funny but Snort-Out-Loud raucous.
The Hero, Eli/Elliott recently has gone through a lot and is now practicing Buddhism. He's given away almost all his possessions and lives in a tiny NYC studio apartment. Complete with roaches; he's not too much of a Buddhist to kill them. The Heroine, Charlotte/Charli's having her own issues with promiscuity, extreme sports, and getting her license revoked due to a DUI. When these two unsuspectingly reunite the sparks fly. Seriously she hates him and he isn't too happy to see her. However he's smitten and he can't resist her. Unfortunately he needs to tell her that he's responsible for her entire family's death several years ago. The storyline is madcap, riveting, and the sex and romance is whiplash-inducing. It's fabulous chaos!
The decision to review this book was honestly made almost completely based on the cover of the entire series. The titles, the blurbs, the colors, and fonts did it for me. The humor of the writing shone through the delivery of the blurbs. I wasn't left wanting nor disappointed; I was all-in almost from the very beginning. Charlotte/Charli gave me some trouble in that it too her a while to finally forgive and trust Elliott. Also tossing out phrases: "sex-addict", "DUIs", "extreme sports with injuries" and not expecting Elliott to "need-a-minute" was hard to swallow. Elliott swings from neurotic to laid-back. "Jonesing" for his Buddha Message Of The Day app is almost as amusing as his meditating/napping/masturbating time. "Field Tripping" is wonderfully chaotic with a stellar cast of extras and "Hope-We-See-Them-Again Secondary Characters. Skip, Avery, Sam, and even Stanley. Which brings me to diagrams/illustrations ... Fabulously Funny. I LOVED EVERYTHING!

Field Tripped is the third hilariously book in the Ad Agency series. Each book can be read as standalone but I do recommend reading the series because it’s fucking awesome! I love how each one revolves around the Ad Agency but the stories are so different from one another. Unique, epic, and sexy, and so much fun!!

It’s been ten years since Eli left Colorado and he didn’t have plans of ever going back to his home state. Especially now that he has simplified his life after a stressful ten years of wild nights of being a DJ, endless women, and his day job at Shimura Ad Agency. He was now living the life of Zen. It was going swimmingly until his boss threatened to give him the boot unless he went on a two-week trip with the team to Colorado to win a client. It’s not like she would be there. The one that broke his heart. The one girl that he ever loved. So why the hell not? He says. Then she walks in...

Charlotte had no idea he would be there. Otherwise, she would have at least put on some make up. Nothing is worse than seeing your sexy ex and looking like you were just saved from the wild. She waited for him back then. He never came back. She moved on the best way she knew how. But she never felt alive not until now. Now, she is ready to play. Play the games to win these clients. Play the games to win to spend time with him. Time to explain herself. Time to figure him out. Time to feel alive even if it’s only for two weeks.

Will their games turn into love?

I love this series! Each one gets better and better. The storylines. The characters. The humor. The heart. The emotions. Everything. I just absolutely love second chance romance. And with the added humor, it makes this book a bonus. Eli and Charlie’s relationship has it’s complications from the past. What I loved about them was that at times it seemed like it had only been a day since they saw each other. At the same time, it was like they don’t know each other at all. It’s shaky ground. They tease. They kiss. They laugh. They fight. The love. They hate. And that is what makes them real. But in the end will the ground level out enough to make them work?

Overall...I needed this book! I live in Santa Rosa, California and if you have seen the news then you know it hasn’t been an easy couple of weeks. My family is safe. My home is standing. I know many that can’t say that, it has been devastating around here so reading this book is what I needed. I needed the laughs I knew Nicole could deliver. Thank you, Nicole! Xoxo

P.S. I love all of the secondary characters including dogs. Well, except for one creeper.

Quotes:

“Maybe think about shaving that vagina off your face, Princess.”

“Shut it, Jerry,” Skip replies.

“This isn’t Facebook, Chicken. You don’t get to use that bullshit status with me.”

First person/Dual-POV, HAE.

If you're looking for lighthearted romance, a bit of lost-and-found love, then you've come to the right place. Though this is the third installment of the Ad Agency series, these books can be read as standalones so feel free to dive right in to our story about Elliot and Charlie.

If you've read the other two books like I have, you'll remember Eli (Elliot) as the roommate to Elias, who we met last book. He works at Shimura Ad Agency like our other characters. He's spent years in NYC, running from his hometown in Colorado. Running from the people he's lost, including the woman he's loved his whole life. So when his boss says it's the company field trip to the snowy town, or his ass is canned... well, he doesn't really have much choice, does he?

Charlie has built a successful ad agency in Colorado, after that is, she picked up the pieces of herself when she lost her family and the love of her life. Her god parents mention that their company is wiling to sign with an agency after a series of games in which both agencies will play against each other which fills her with ... well, dread. She's not in the mood. And when she realizes that the man she lost is on the opposing team, jumping ship looks more and more appealing.

But the spark between the two is still there, and after weeks of borderline-unhealthy competition, it's like no time has passed at all between the two.

The humor and steamy sex had me reading this through the night. It's filled with likable characters. Looking forward to any continuations to this series.

Till next time cuties ;)!

Field-Tripped is a second chance romance featuring Charlie and Eli. These two have loved each other since they were kids. Ten years ago Eli was set to head to the winter Olympics and he was going to spend the rest of his life with his love Charlie. After a tragic accident these two go their separate ways because they can’t cope with the fallout.

Now Eli is the creative director at Shimura and his boss cons him into two weeks in Colorado to pitch Proton’s business. Proton’s idea of fun is to pit the company’s against each other in zany winter games. Of course hi-jinx ensue and this is where things get tricky for Eli. The owner of the rival company is none other than his lost love Charlie.

Field-Tripped is another hilarious read by Nicole Archer. It is funny and has heart. I personally wish Eli and Charlie had got it together and actually communicated with each other. I really would have liked an extended epilogue also since they took so long to figure things out. All in all, this was a fun read and I look forward to the next book in the series.

Nicole has added another hit to her Ad Agency Series. This book is about miscommunication, loving hard, and building trust again. It could be read as a standalone, but I suggest you read the first two books to understand the characters from Shimura Advertising. This story was told in a dual POV and it definitely works.

Eli (Elliott) is the Art Director at Shimura Advertising. He is a huge lover of music, but recently he is about reinventing his life. He is about simplicity and having near to nothing as far as material things. He mediates a lot and looks to Buddha for peace.

Charlie (Charlotte) owns Orion Agency. She is all about work and letting loose. She lives for the high of an adventure or something adrenaline filled. She is extremely feisty and has a huge soft spot for rescue dogs.

Eli is going to the one place he swore he wouldn't go back to, Colorado, to win a big account for Shimura Advertising. He hadn't been there since he lost his chance at the Olympics. Charlie is also trying to get the account with Orion Agency before she sells it. Eli and Charlie dated for a long time and due to certain events, they split up and hadn't seen until the business retreat. Sparks and old feelings are brought back to surface.

Can Eli explain what happened? Will Charlie listen, but will she also let him know what happened to her? Do they have closure of sorts or do they start new?

This book was awesome! I couldn't put it down, but I didn't want it to end! I can't wait to see what happens in the next book in the series, Guilt-Tripped, Avery's story with a mystery man. I have my suspicion on who it might be.

Field-Tripped by Nicole Archer a five-star read that will leave you tripping. This is the third book in the Ad-Agency series but they can all be read as stand alone, all of the books are based around the Shimura Advertising agency and what a bunch of characters work there. I have loved this series, and I oved all the playlists that go along with them. If you like a little music with your reading I highly recommend you look up the playlists, they just bring an extra little zing to the read. Eli St James is someone who has popped up in the other stories and I’m glad that he gets his chance to come into his own, tell us his side of the story and what a story he comes with. It makes you understand his behaviour some more. This story is so much it could feel all on top of each other but Nicole has a refreshing way of writing that makes everything unfold and clear in the shortest time possible, so you feel so deep into the story so quickly you can’t see anything else until you have finished every page, so be prepared once you start to not come up till you are done. Eli and Charlie’s story is one that spans time and place its one filled with wit and charm and heart as well as some steam that will break the pipes. If you are looking for a funny, witty read then this is one for you, I would recommend the series as a whole if you are looking for something special.

I loved loved loved this book!! If you love reading second chance love stories this is it! You cannot help but fall in love with the characters. Eli and Charlie are people that have been through a lot but still trying to find their way. You actually go with them on this wild journey while fighting to come up winners for their Ad agency! There are going to be moments where you are laughing so hard you snort and then they are moments when you want to kick something. This is the third book in the series from Nichole and I definitely encourage you to read the first and second book. I for one cannot wait to read Avery’s Adams story!

Field-Tripped (Ad Agency Series Book 3)
By: Nicole Archer
5 out of 5 stars

The story Field-Tripped (Ad Agency Series Book 3) by Nicole Archer is a wonderful contemporary romance book that I loved reading. It is the next amazing story in the Ad Agency series. A series that I have loved since reading the first book. It is a book that hooked me in and I didn’t want to put down until I had finished the last page. It is a story about getting a second chance at love. I loved reading about the two main characters in this story. He is a man that doesn’t get attached. That way there is nothing for him to lose and he doesn’t have to deal with the emotions that go along with that loss. It is because of the past that he is this way. It is so painful that he avoids going to an entire state. Then he finds himself going to this state and a camp for adults in order to help the company he works for to acquire new business. That is when he comes face to face with her again. She is the owner of the rival company that is competing to gain a business deal. She is tired of how her life is going and has decided to make this one last deal and then live the life she has always wanted. Then she sees him. These two still have a physical attraction to each other. They act on this attraction many times. However, you can feel the frustration, anger, and disappointment in what has happened in the past. It doesn’t help matters that one of them seems to run away from the other when things become uncomfortable. Will these two finally talk about what happened all those years ago? What does the future hold for them? Will they be able to overcome the pain of the past so that they can have a future together? This is a couple that I could tell was still in love with each other. I was hoping through it all that they would be able to rekindle the romance between them and find their happy ending together. I also enjoyed reading about how the two agencies at the camp interact. There is bantering back and forth as well as taunting of each other that goes on. There is also the bantering that goes on within the teams as well. It is that and also the games that they are made to play against each other which make for some humorous scenes. This is an author that has an amazing writing style and creates characters that you grow to care about. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. This story does have some very steamy scenes. The main characters attraction to each other is red hot. It would be recommended for those 18 years of age or older.
