Spring break brings 3 best friends together, all with their own problems. April has been living out of her car since Groundhog's day, when her live in boyfriend decided he wanted them to be able to see other people to make their relationship stronger. James quit the university he was at because he was homesick and carried a torch for April since they were teens, but never had the courage to tell her. The third friend, Logan, who spends all his time texting his girlfriend that he doesn't know if ...more

Great short story. I found it a cute sweet romantic read, while still containing rejection, it never felt as if April just wanted James as a rebound romance. The story was spooky, with ghost, but was still sweet. Creepy, with damp dark basement rot. It entertained me, had a beginning , middle and end, without needing 3 books to tell, so it can proudly stand alone. It even told you future events. No cliffhanger to annoy me, yay. It was shot sweet and to the point, while being a nice spooky hallow ...more

The girl in the mirror

A great ghost story. Especially if like me you don't mind a few chills but aren't into horror. Coming home for spring break meant that she could at least sleep in a real bed after the breakup with her boyfriend. Reuniting with her two closest friends they are employed to help clear up the old building that everyone has always maintained was haunted. Things seem to be going fine until she uncovers the old mirror. Whose reflection did she see? Why is she dreaming about a girl

I realized there was a prequel lol after reading books 1 and 2. I love how thus ties in to the rest of the story. There is definitely a creepy factor to older buildings and hauntings in general. I wish I had read this first just for the context relating to the characters in the later books, but it is a cute story anytime. I enjoyed that it felt like a fully finished story without a cliffhanger to draw you in further.

T'was ok I suppose, lil bit disappointing in the end. sounded a bit rushed, nothing special, n not much of a storyline. Certainly not spooky as I first thought. Just seemed like she had to do an a silly lil essay for school; don't know how old the author was, but Def won't be seeking anymore of her stories out.

The punctuation was fine, but the grammar; well! not much I could really say, it wasn't that fantastic read n she did miss a few words out of the sentences every so often.

I read this after reading the other books. It was kinda nice to get the story that was alluded to in the other books. Juliet Vane does a masterful job setting the stage and I loved reading from a different perspective. I am now a serious fan of Juliet!

Its a decent quick read. Like a short story you could boil down to around a bonfire.

Received a free copy for a review. I found the story interesting and entertaining. I have to admit there were times I bit my lip during some moments of the story.

Juliet grew up in northern California, where she spent her free time staring at spooky lakes and making up stories about the old buildings surrounding them. Years later, she still lives in California and she still makes up spooky stories…about lakes and the old buildings surrounding them. Like April in April’s Ghosts, she’s terrified of spiders and she’s obsessed with Hamilton. Like Lissa in June' ...more
