I have to say I didn't enjoy this much. Some of the first stories were fine, the highlights being "Carbón Blanco" and "Tierra de Promisión", but as I read more of these stories I became frustrated with his style, which I found rather shallow and lacking in any emotion. I was also pretty disappointed at the treatment of female characters in this collection. All in all, I get the feeling I simply "missed" its charm, but I can't say I'm looking forward to giving Courtoisie another chance.
