There is so much potential for this story, with these citizens trying to discover a new norm after reorganizing their leadership. All kinds of conspiracies and evil figures emerge in each one of the books in the series and it's intriguing to see new heroes step up to curb the villainous plots.

Caroline is engaged to marry a man that she realizes she doesn't really know and when Jesse, a man of many disguises, arrives to help protect her, of course a romance blossoms. The mystery is gradual, the

This is book 3 that continues the story of freedom-loving people in the make-believe country of Cordovia. We learn that Cordovia was settled by Spanish conquistadors and English aristocrats. The Rebel Series is inspired by the stories of men who fought for freedom. And this book is loosely based on a man known as the Swamp Fox, a man of courage and valor. It’s a story of the good guys versus the bad guys set in an indeterminate time, but the reference to sword-fighting, lamplighters, dueling guns ...more

The Fox of Cordovia is a historical novel of a factious island close to Scotland. Linda Weaver Clarke captures the spirit of a people who had recently won a major victory over a dictator king. This novel is the third in The Rebel’s Series and continues as the districts are electing their own leaders. The king was still at large, hiding from his crimes against the people of Cordovia and the rebel groups have disband and went back to their old jobs. Caroline is engaged to a man predicted to win th ...more
This is the third book in this series, though if you missed 1 & 2, you could still enjoy this one. It’s an adventure sweet romance set in the kingdom of Cordovia right after they’ve obtained freedom from the tyrant monarch who’s ruled with an iron fist for a few years. Caroline is engaged to marry a rich & upcoming political leader in her community, but when she takes him cookies, she overhears a sinister plot her fiancé is involved with, and has to flee for her life. Along the way, she meets th ...more

What an adventure this one is! I started this and couldn't stop listening. First, I needed to find out what a Fox was in history! Linda Weaver Clarke masterfully weaves together the story of Caroline and Jessie. Caroline is set to marry the man who will be the new mayor in Laketown. When she overhears a compromising situation, her safety comes into question, and her father gets her protection. Who better to take care of her than the Fox of Cordovia? I loved the listening to this story. It's writ ...more

Last in a series of three, this sweet and clean romance follows the story of young woman being protected by a swashbuckling "pirate." Without giving up too much, the plot is much like the first two in the series, and the couples from each of those stories do make an appearance. These would be good for beach listening, commuter listening, or for younger women not quite old enough to deal with more mature romance novels. Also for those of us that don't enjoy reading stories on the "50 Shades" leve ...more

This is the third book in the Cordovia series, set a few years after the rebels overthrow the king. The citizens of Cordovia are working to set up a system of government. In the city of Laketown, a mayoral race is on. Caroline, an educated nurse who worked with the rebellion, is engaged to one of the candidates. When she overhears her fiance plotting to tamper with the election, she calls on the Fox, the hero of Laketown, for help.

This was a sweet clean read with plenty of intrigue and excitemen

To begin, I would like to say that I love the covers of the Rebel series, they look perfect for the era just like the story contained within its pages. This historical fiction seems to be taken from the pages of a history book. It is well written with good facts and is quite charming. This story will keep you up all night.
Caroline, the daughter of the doctor who helped the rebels through the other two books in this series is engaged to be married. All falls apart when she hears her husband to be

In An Oyster Shell - I really fell in love with this series. I love the strong men and the fierce women that compliment them. Clarke is a genius at swoon-worthy, sweet, romances.

The Pearls - I love the mystery in this book. Each book in this series has it but this one was the best. I loved the secret identity of the fox and his close proximity to Caroline.

I like how all the characters came together from the previous books. Good series always has me looking forward to seeing the previous charac

I loved this book. It is full of adventure, drama, intrigue and suspense. We've got kidnapping plots, pirate ships, daring rescues and romance.
The author weaves an exciting tale and a sweet romance together in a way that will appeal to all readers and is suitable from age 12 up.

I realised when I started this book that I hadn't read the second in the series however, each book contains its own story and romance without any cliffhangers and they can be enjoyed as stand alone novels.

Linda Weaver Clarke does it again, she takes us back to Cordovia on another quest to fight and maintain the freedom they fought so hard to get. This time it's the romance between Caroline and Jesse, who she does not know is the "Fox". There are many twist and turns, intrigue and a sweet 'clean' romance in this story and one you will enjoy. Whether you enjoy listening to audiobooks or reading Linda Weaver Clarke's novels will entertain and leaving you with a smile on your lips in the end ...more

This third book in this series continues the struggles of good vs. evil. The main character finds not all is as expected and continues through her efforts to right the wrongs and stay alive.

This is a fun read and the narration is great.

Good Narration brings out a story of another era, of love and who to trust. Caroline overhears a conspiracy and wants to do something to stop.
A good series of adventure and love to enjoy, of men fighting for freedom. With good narration added to the story. Given audio for my voluntary review
