The M&B Modern imprint is one of my go to’s when I want a quick, sexy, low-drama fix and Conquering his Virgin Queen comfortably ticked those boxes.

description

This story was very much driven by Odir and Eloise as they realise that their feelings go way beyond that of a marriage of convenience. I love a couple who bring as much passion to their personal battles as they do the bedroom and there is certainly no shortage in either department and, as secrets and revelations come tumbling out, you’re

This is a first HP for this author from what I can gather. I'm impressed.

Synopsis of the story is Prince becomes king after his father dies (it's been kept a secret). Announcement will be made he's now king. But Odir needs his estranged wife of six months by his side when it's made to show strength and unity. Eloise left him due to his mistrust (he witnessed something and came to the wrong conclusion) and distance that developed during their marriage as well as non communication. She's been

This is the author's debut book for the HP line .The entire story took place over a span of 2 days in which the estranged couple meet up again after a 6 month separation when the hero told the heroine to leave after he believes that she slept with his brother. ( she didn't, still a virgin).
They are back together at his own machinations as his father is now dead and the hero is now King in his fictional Middle Eastern country and he needs the heroine to help him bring stability back to

4.5 - "I always wanted you…" Stars!

If Conquering His Virgin Queen is the first book Pippa Roscoe has written, and she isn’t actually another established author using a pseudonym, then I am mightily impressed, actually scratch that I am still impressed. Because any author that can write a story that offers so much emotion and depth, but apart from the epilogue only covers twelve hours in this couples life has writing skills, that I am keen to see more of in the future.

She was a bought bride-a

This is Pipa Roscoe’s debut Harlequin Presents and I liked it but didn’t love it. Fingers crossed her next book is better.

This was good for a debut novel. It's a second chance story line with MC's who both have far too much parental baggage, that threatens to destroy whatever happiness that they can find together. Odir, the H, doesn't want to become the type of ruler that his late father had been and in his mind this means that he has to control his passionate feelings for his wife Eloise. Odir is afraid to love because he has seen how his father was destroyed by love and how that led to the old man's reign of ...more

This story takes place in one day, well mostly one night and damn, does a lot happen in just twelve hours! Our two main leads go from nearly hating each other to finally seeing that they do love each other and work together to make their lives better as King and Queen. We see that most of the stuff between them is misunderstandings, secrets, and fear. It was a nice quick read, and I can't wait to read more by this author.

This is a fabulous debut, fast paced, sensual, a marriage that ended before it started, a marriage where the heroine was pushed into it by a domineering father and the hero who wanted what was best for his country get yourself comfortable because you are not going to want to put this one down.

Odir Farouk Al Arkrim is prince of Farrehed and his brother had had a great childhood that is until they lost their mother and their father lost his senses he was so in love with his wife that when she was

A little escapism is always lovely. Internationally themed, this contemporary romance allows the reader to see what life is like living with a prince and it's not as romantic as it first appears.

Eloise accepts an arranged marriage because she likes Odir and believes they could grow to love the other. Odir, bound by duty ignores her after their marriage and finally sends her away when he thinks she has forsaken her marriage vows. She runs away, but now he finds her and wants her back, but she has

A fantastic debut which I really enjoyed.

It was different in a good way and i really liked the build up, plot and back-story. The cover is devine and I adore second chance stories and I think Pippa did a fab job in this element.

I wish Pippa the bestest of luck with her release and a wonderful and long career. Looking forward to the next story.

Conquering His Virgin Queen by Pippa Roscoe is part of the Mills & Boon Modern imprint. Odir Farouk is about to become King and needs to win his wife, Eloise, back. She left him 6 months ago due to his distrust of her after a misunderstanding over a scene he witnessed between her and his brother. Distance and a lack of communication between the pair of them also hindered the development of their marriage of convenience into a meaningful relationship. The pair of them have to overcome the ...more

CONQUERING HIS VIRGIN QUEEN by Pippa Roscoe

First book read by Pippa Roscoe and it certainly will not be the last. Loved it from start to finish and couldn’t put it down.
Odir Farouk had to get his wife back and back as soon as possible. For what he had to do with the gala and then the announcement he needed her to be by his side. His wife the queen as he was about to become the king.
Eloise had taken leave from him 6 months earlier and had changed her name, taken on a job, also living in a small

The actual story takes place in London during 12 hours ,but the flashbacks go back two tyears.

He ddn't get to spend some time with his bride. Then one day Odir saw his brother Jarhan kissing Eloise- and threw her out without explanations. That was six months ago.

4 1/2 STARS!

A royal reunion! With her debut Harlequin Presents novel, Pippa Roscoe takes us deep into the heart of a potential royal disaster ... and the drama does NOT disappoint! Her characters have a richness to them that even though they are attempting to hold themselves aloof from their feelings, have the ability to show their tender side with each other, even when they may not want to. The plot is fast paced and attention grabbing from the start. I deem it a big success and look forward to

Pippa Roscoe's debut novel has not disappointed! She drew me in from the very first page, she has created a very strong, dominant hero and fiercely, independent heroine (which I live for!) and created this undeniable chemistry. Odir has 12 hours to win Eloise back, readers only have 12 chapters to see whether he succeeds, it was the journey that had me biting my nails in anticipation. I liked the structure, it was clever, the reasons behind Odir and Eloise's actions both in the past and present ...more

I received a copy of this book in return for an honest review via Netgalley.

A new author, a sheikh story and a very attractive proposition for me. However...be warned that the bulk of the story happens once the hero and heroine, Odir and Eloise have been reunited at the hotel/ball.

A marriage of alliance can be a successful thing, but not if you have doubts about that person and especially when you're trying to save and stabilise your country.

Odir annoyed me for this reason. He doesn't listen to

Pippa Roscoe’s debut Harlequin Presents—Conquering His Virgin Queen—is hot, sexy and so darn good! Odir and Eloise are great characters and the way the author brings them alive through articulate prose, engaging dialogue and colorful scenarios makes this book all the more enjoyable. Odir and Eloise have so much in common but it is the spark between them that make this a reader’s delight. I loved the genuine emotions displayed by the main protagonists. Yeah they’re flawed, with baggage, but in

Admittedly it wasn't the best story. It's hard to fully enjoy a book with only 12 hours to fix a really messed up marriage. But I loved the originality of a story that's one hour each chapter (and probably would love it even more if it was a relationship just starting out). I also loved how deliciously modern the take on a Sheikh's story was, even including women's liberation references. And most importantly I loved this authors way with words. There was care taken in her first HP debut that set ...more

Conquering His Virgin Queen

This story was well written. It was about to people who had grown up with turmoil created by their own families. Secrets that could destroy a country. Their marriage was an arrangement not of love. He was Prince reagent to his father's kingdom. Her father craved political alliance. There were miscommunication between them and he kick her out. Now he has one day to get her back where she belongs. But will the reason he sent her away ever be resolved? Can love bloom in

I read this book about a month ago and am trying to remember the storyline as I have read several books in between. It all took place in about a 24 hour time frame and is the classic HEA. In this case the hero and heroine had been married. She left him and went into hiding. He needs her to come back as he secedes to the thrown. An interesting story.

I'm not usually one for Sheikh stories, but this one was interesting - it gave glimpses of the political life of Farrehed, as Prince Odir Farouk is seeking to bring his estranged wife Eloise back to his country. He has urgent reasons for needing her by his side, she has just as many reasons not to return. Let the battle begin! A promising debut.

In "Conquering His Virgin Queen" by Pippa Roscoe we meet Odir Farouk, who is about to become King, and his estranged wife, Eloise, that he wants back. Their relationship is rocky but their romantic interest is Hot. They must overcome the past and maybe then they can move on with their future. Enjoyed their story.

It was an interesting story I can believe it is hard to find own time for the Royals.

, the public are very retinal of them, it can't be easy living that life, I wouldn't want it.
