I have to say that Devlin's story was my favorite so far!
Devlin and Jenni i think is the first couple so far that was really close to not making it.
I loved that struggle .

Boy did I get surprise on my latest visit to the Were Zoo! On my way in I met this sexy human male named Devlin and this visit just got better from there. This strong, charming male met the very strong and delightful lion shifter, Jenni and the sparks started flying and the chemistry started sizzling with just one glance across a crowded room. What more can ask you for on any visit anywhere, than wonderfully sweet romances with touches of suspense and drama that gets the ‘happy feel good’ juices flowing and these two made things even more exciting when they made a bit of trouble for themselves (sorry you’ll have to make a visit on your own, if you want to know more).
You know, one of these I just might get to stay longer when I visit this fascinating place that is really a remarkable, unique and fun place for shifters to live and thrive. So, I’m off to plan my next visit, hope to see you there!

4.5 stars. This was a fun short story with very little angst, no cliffhanger and a HEA ending. The length is perfect for the beach or the weekend. I liked that Devlin has one glance of Jenni and reacts like a shifter, not the human he is. A single-minded focus on getting to and attaining her. Jenni is trying to balance between what she wants and the limits the pride has set in place for everyone’s safety. I enjoyed getting to see couples from past books and how they helped to bring these two together. The ending was terrific and left me with a huge smile.

Devlin Were Zoo Book 5

This book gave me absolutely everything I wanted! This is book 5 in The Were Zoo series and it delivered in every way. There is excitement, Awesome characters and great romance. What makes all the characters so great is the superb world-building, plus each character is a unique, fascinating and likable. The story is creative and it all ties in with the core of the plot. I really enjoyed it.
The story itself had a dual focus, it's Jenni Brisbane and Devlin Potter story. Jenni is a Lion shifter, she feels her life is passing right before her eyes. Because she knows her mate isn't here within her pride or any of the other shifters. Devlin is human with a plan for his life. His promotion at work will change his life because all of his hard work was paying off the job he wanted is his for the taking.
The part of the story I enjoyed of course is centered on the romance cementing between Jenni and Devlin, I enjoyed these two together. They don’t play games with each other; they’re honest about their feelings and their flaws. Not only do they do they make me swoon, their chemistry is so hot it scorch the pages with their steamy love scenes.
If you haven’t tried this series, I promise you, you can’t go wrong when you read R.E. Butler. You can start this series with Devlin as you can read each book as a standalone. So you will want to get comfortable in your favorite place because once you start reading this book you won’t be able to stop reading until you are finished with this book. The ending is totally satisfying, but I know there will be more to come and I'm excited to read the next book in the series.

Great read if....you enjoyed the other books in the series, shifter romance, quick reads, insta love, and an HEA.
Side Note: I was really excited about this. I loved the other books in the series, so I pre order this as soon as I had finished them. I loved the idea of seeing a woman shifter get male and how the alpha male as a human would work. It was wonderful! At first I wished she were a bit more aggressive and sassy, it's like come on, she's a lioness, but the fact she wasn't was surprisingly pleasant. It definitely let him shine more in the alpha department, which I think was needed since he was human and didn't have shifter powers, ya know? They had an adorable relationship. They were a great pair and I love how they found a place for him at the zoo. I love there the series has come and I honestly hope it keeps growing and expanding.

Devlin is Trina’s brother; so he’s human & has been working towards his 5 year plan. (Whatever that means) Anyway he also just got the promotion that he’s been working towards when he finds something much better at the zoo.
Jenni is the only lioness in the zoo & she used to work security until Lexy showed up; now she works in Lexy’s Sweet Shop. On the night before the Grand Opening of the zoo’s Sweet Shop, Lexy had a party & invited family & friends wherein Trina’s family including her brother that works in Rhode Island is coming to. That night Jenni meets her soulmate in Devlin.
This is the beginning of their story. The story was very good in the plot & the sex scenes.

Worth the wait !! I love that different shifters live and work in a zoo setting. Jenni is a lion shiffter, and the only female among 8 males. A few of the shifters have found their mates either by the private tours or by fate. At the preopening of the sweet shop at the zoo, in walks Devlin. His scent hits her and he knows something about her has drawn his attention as well. So far we have seen the females change thier lives for their shifter mates, but will human Devlin give up his new promotion, and his life for Jenni and stay at the zoo? New things are happening at the zoo, and I cant wait. Great book with a HEA.

This is a fast paced and fun story to read. The characters are awesome. Lots of spice, some drama and great fun. If you are into shifters this will be fun.

I really enjoyed this short story. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. This book is book five in the were zoo series. Although this is book five in the series, it is the first one I have read.
I liked both Jenni and Devlin. The chemistry between them was clear to see. I hurt for her when she had to leave the hotel. I understood Devlin’s reasons but I wanted to shout at him to give Jenni a chance to explain.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and an enjoyable read. I cannot wait to read more books from this series.

Another great edition to this series great to finally have a girl lioness story . Great romance between both main character. I love how RE writes and she never disappoints delivering a great happy ending can't wait to read more about in this series. I voluntarily review this advanced reader copy for my honest opinion

I hate to be the clog in all the 5 and 4 star ratings but this was must a so-so read for me; more of a YA story. There just wasn't much of a plot. Conflict wasn't there. No eminent threats to either party involved; nothing like what happened in Zane's story (the first in the series or when the wolf alpha had to kill his own son.). Their HEA just came too easy.

You Never Know
This is a fun quick read about a young man who knew that he had his life in order. He just got the big promotion right on time, now all he needs is a wife. She been doing these tours and it isn't producing enough males to make it possible for her to find her soul mate. But fate has a way of dropping things into place for you. Enjoy I did.

Lions, wolves and bears, oh my!
Loved it! Jenni is so sweet and Devil is perfect. It was a great love at first site story. Its a great afternoon read. I can't wait for more and I wonder who will find their soul mate next.

So sweet
I really like Jenni. She is a very sweet lioness. She and Devlin meet and sparks fly. I did worry about Devlin's attitude there at first but he really stepped up. Thanks to Lexy and Trina. Really good story. Can't wait for Kelley.

Another good one!
I just love the Were Zoo Books. I enjoy reading about that instant attraction when they first meet. I totally enjoyed reading about Jennifer and Devlin. Especially because Devlin was human. This was a good story and I am looking forward to the next one!

What an amazing read!!! When you're looking for someone who can accept you for who and what you are then just remember that things aren't always what they seem. Butler makes some phenomenal reads that pull you in and just won't let you go.

Easy read
I’ve read the four previous books in the series and have enjoyed the storyline but they’re just not developed enough. The characters are likable and it’s a very easy read but it just seems rushed and especially rushed at the end

This story was a nice change I had forgotten that there were female shifters in the zoo. I liked seeing a female get her soulmate just like the males have been. I cannot wait to see who gets a soulmate next, and I cannot wait to see who the next female shifter is to get her mate.

That was pretty good but devlin needs 2 stop with his jumping 2 conclusions on things. Can Jenny convince him 2 understand a few things if he wants any kind of future with her or will he just keep what he's been doing and live in the moment?
