For Weeds Will Grow is my second read authored by David Six. I thought nothing could match the horror of In the Time it Takes to Blink, reviewed just a couple of days ago. I was wrong. The level of horror is equally high in this novel but from an entirely different perspective. The earlier novel dealt with a very sick psychopath (can there be any other kind?). We start this story with thirteen Y/O Danny Noble and his friend finding a dead body. Maybe seeing the body triggered Danny really beginning to acknowledge some very strange and disturbing things that have been part of his existence. Whatever it was Danny is having visions and they are scaring him. His mother and the other adults around him are concerned somewhat but attribute it to him having growing pains.

We get to follow Danny on his life’s journey till he is a husband and father. You get to

Maybe it's the new noise in your house that you tell yourself is just the joists settling. Maybe it's your neighbor who seems friendly and convivial, but there is something just a bit off about them.
