I killed a fae leader and now I have to face the consequences.

Where I used to stress over college classes, I now have to worry about being a leader to fae who despise me, all the while adjusting to my new diet of human emotions.

As for Tristan—I'm still drawn to him in ways that steal my breath and leave me wanting more. There’s no denying how strong we are together or the

slightly disappointed here if I'm honest.
I was really looking forward to this as book one was such a big hit with me, unfortunately, where here Aurora should have come into her own in both personality and presence she just slowly sank while managing to spread her petulance and infantility to all around her until I just wanted to give her a swift kick where the sun don't shine and shout bloody grow the hell up, my girl.
I really wouldnt have blamed Tristan for moving on as he really did deserve so

I’m feeling so many emotions right now. Happiness and relief, mixed with sadness and anger, and a bit of nausea thrown in for good measure. I gave Twisted Fate four stars, but I had to give Twisted Gift a solid five. It’s rare that sequels are better than the first book, but damn, this one certainly is!

My main apprehension with Twisted Fate was that there was an excessive amount of romance scenes, but not a whole lo

After reading and enjoying Twisted Fate earlier in 2018, I eagerly awaited the sequel, especially considering the way that book ended. Without giving too much away, it starts two months after the end of that book; Aurora’s life has changed a lot and she’s struggling to cope. She ends up in situations she never imagined being and having to deal with those pent up emotions.

Jessi Elliot managed this sequel well; it doesn’t bog down too much on what happened in the previous book, and manages to move

Sooo i finally finished this book and wow what can i say.
Well first of all i want to thank Jessi for sending me it 💕

Now to the story:

Since i had problems to get into the story of the first book i was immediately into it with this one!
Once again i feel in love with Aurora, Tristan and the rest of the gang.

What i loved most of the story was how Elliot wrote Aurora’s struggles while being a fae. I think it was pretty realistic and relatable and just so wonderful to see that not every person loves i

It was so hard to put this book down! A big part of this book was Aurora dealing with the complications of becoming fae and working through her feelings for Tristan, and that was so good. A whole book of just that would have been interesting enough. Then intensity ramped up and everything changed. It was unpredictable and exciting and full of action and feelings. If you liked the first book, then you’ll love this one because it was t

"There were so many twists and turns that I didn’t expect in this book, and by god, they just kept coming and still I was like what can happen next. I so want to talk about it but I don’t want to ruin it anymore. Let’s just say the plot was amazing and I did not see it coming how it happened. I loved the relationship between Aurora and Tristan as well as the other characters, it was fantastic and I truly cannot wait to read the next one!"

I gonna keep this quite simple. This one started out mostly good, some fun new characters, a lot of sexual tension... Even some new information about the Fae magic that was kind of cool. But then came the second half and I reaaally didn't like it. The plot took a weird turn and there was just so many of my least favorite romantic tropes thrown in there.

For the first half of this book, I quite enjoyed myself. I have a real soft spot angsty main characters and Aurora is a mess. She's fae, she's su
While I enjoyed Twisted Gift, and sped through it, I'm conflicted on how I feel about the book as a whole. There was a lot of new potential that never went anywhere. I'm a little frustrated, to be honest. And I'm left with so many questions. (view spoiler) ...more

“ What is this? Fifty Shades of Fae?”
Guys, my heart is full finishing the second novel of the Twisted series. I truly never expected myself to love an Urban Fantasy Romance series, but Jessi has completely changed that. The way Jessi writes was so enchanting, I didn’t get enough of this book; especially Aurora and Tristan. I became connected to these characters and I am sad to see that their story ends with this second book. There is some amazing action/ plotting in thi

I really hoped that I would like this book, but unfortunately it didn't work for me. I've read other books that feature fae characters and while I don't consider myself to be an expert on them, the fae in this book didn't seem to follow the typical lore associated with them. Maybe, if I could forget the things that I know about fae, then I may have enjoyed this book a little more. Most of the characters were annoying to me and I just didn’t feel any investment in this story. I did consider givin ...more

Okay, I want to start by saying that sequels are notoriously difficult to write. I'm a hobbyist, unpublished writer but I know how difficult it can be to write the same world and characters as the previous book while informing the audience with some exposition (in case it's been a while since the first release) and tying up loose ends from the first book. If Twisted Fate hadn't been so outstanding, I would've given this a 3 stars but because it was lacking compared to the 1st book, I'm giving it ...more

4.5/5. Twisted Fate was such an enjoyable read, but Twisted Gift stepped it up a notch for me! I love Jessi's no-nonsense prose and she does a wonderful job of describing the setting and showing us emotions. Every character is memorable in their own way, which is why it's so easy for Jessi to give us all the feels and rip our hearts out. I wished a certain emotional scene near the end had gotten drawn out a little more but other than that, this book was a flawless, devouring read. I loved the ep ...more
The Perils of Becoming Fae

Aurora is now the leader of the Light Fae and just graduating College. She has no idea what to do with her life because she just got transformed into a fae! She’s staying clear of Tristan who she cares deeply for because she’s not sure what made her feel that way, and wonders if she was manipulated by Jules into how she felt, magically.

Everyone is worried about Aurora because she is refusing to feed from humans and is so conflicted about being fae. As she’s now head of

While I enjoyed this book a lot, I had some issues with the plot.

I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review so here it is:

The characters - I like them. Especially Nikolai and Skylar. Why those two? Idk, they just seem like fun characters to me. I enjoyed Tristan and Aurora of course. Max was great. Allison and Oliver felt somewhat like an after-thought throughout the book.

The romance aspect of this book was spot on. Which I mean, it should be, it's a romance novel.

We start off where the last book left off which I liked. I was torn about how Aurora handled her situation after gaining her faerie powers. Now she does admit her terrible choice and I commend that she acknowledge it but I still don't love how she handled it but it does create tension. Personally I felt like it took her longer than she should have and didn't love that she didn't turn to her trusted friends and family but to a near stranger. It just seemed like it dragged out and made the story p ...more

I was absolutely obsessed with the first book, Twisted Fate. I immediately fell in love with the characters and their relationships, and with that cliffhanger, I couldn’t WAIT to get my hands on Twisted Gift. This book is even hotter than the last!

Wow! That was an emotional rollercoaster... I'd like to think of myself as pretty "manly", but this book definitely made me cry and I'm not afraid to tell you that because wow, just wow.

So I love giving indie authors a try and heard some good things about the Twisted series. I'm usually not a huge fan of romance, which is why I actually gave Twisted Fate three stars because it felt way to over-saturated with romance, despite the description making it seem like there would be more world building

Aurora and Tristan are back in book two of the Twisted series, Twisted Gift. Aurora finally learned how she is connected with the fae and has to step up to lead the light fae. Tristan agrees they should bring light and dark fae together especially since there is something killing off fae and making it look as if they are killing each other. It has been working until Aurora is taken and this is where the twist begins.

I enjoyed book one in the series but Twisted Gift was more entertaining, the sto

Note: I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

The author gives the perfect amount of tension in this book. I love how family and friends are still important. Everyone comes together and some character even redeem themselves. The fantasy element of the fae is almost done very nicely. I love how their goal isn’t easy to achieve, and how you can tell the main character is struggling after everything she’s been through. Every character struggles, and that makes the universe feel so real t

I really enjoyed the first book "Twisted Fate" and knew that I would jump at the opportunity to dive back into this series.

While I don't generally gravitate towards romance novels, the author does a great job, telling a compelling story and still weaving in the romance. The characters are well rounded, dynamic and full of life. Aurora is such a great main character, so I can see why so many people are drawn to this serie

I thoroughly enjoyed Jessi's debut novel Twisted Fate and could not wait to read her next instalment in her "twisted" world.

Jessi beautifully transitions her first novel into the plot of Twisted Gift. While I'm not a big fan of romance, this novel tells a compelling sci-fi narrative with romance beautifully woven into the story.

The characters in the novel are perfectly and creatively illustrated to make the reader feel for themselves, em

I wasn’t as captivated with this book as I was with the first installment of this series. That said I still really enjoyed it. There was an amazing angsty romance going on. I did miss the family dynamic I loved from the first book, but we got an amazing character and political stuff in return for it. I do feel that the ending was rushed since a lot happened in the last 30% compared with the first 70%. I still love every character and again there is a death which breaks my heart. First of all, Excellent writing Jessi! I enjoyed the story thoroughly. Story starts from after 2 months of Rory turning into a Fae. Now in this book as well, there were many twists and turns which take the story totally in a different direction. And some characters even left me with different thoughts and opinions about them. Big thank you to Jessi Elliott for an ARC copy for review

I have been eagerly awaiting to see what was going to happen to Aurora and Tristan, since the end of Twisted Fate. Jessi can certainly keep a reader on their toes with anticipation. Things definitely don’t slow down in Twisted Gift.

Plenty of fae kick ass action, twists that I didn’t see coming, heartbreaking moments, and of course the romance. Tristan and Aurora have such magnetic chemistry both physically and emotionally. The ending with
