Though Isabelle and Mac struggle to settle into a new life together, the world seems set against it. Events at the Green Earth Commune take stranger and stranger turns, until neither of them can turn away. Something dark waits in the heart of the small community, though neither of them suspects the deadly truth.
But as psychic and FBI profiler work together, their personal lives stall. The risk of reading Mac too closely looms as a new danger that neither of them had foreseen. As their relationship approaches the brink, Isabelle and Mac can no longer deny that they must come together or they will come apart because there is no going back.
Hazel and her husband stopped being separate people years ago. They live their happy life in the always crowded, mostly sunny, and sometimes sweltering city of LA. Though they haven’t managed it yet, plans are afoot to add a kitty to the household, thereby giving the allergist fits.
Hazel has been writing full-time for several years, with some traditionally published work in other genres. But it’s her indie-published romance that fuels the creative fire. It turns out writing isn’t a job, it’s an obsession.
When you can pry Hazel’s fingers from the laptop, you’ll find her: on the elliptical watching a documentary, indulging her audiobook habit, or spending quality time with Candy Crush. Although she’s vegan, she’s a disaster in the kitchen. Luckily, potato chips and pinot noir come ready-made.
Great conclusion! Those who needed to get punished, really got what was coming to them. I loved reading about Isabel and Mac, they make an exciting couple. They had some pretty terrifying situations, but somehow always came out on top.
I read the first book touched and had to read all of the 6 books straight away. They are very addictive, great characters and storylines. This is anew author to me but I am already looking for the next book and the series. I was intrigued from the first page to the last on every book, I couldn't put them down. Really great reads. Totally recommend them all.
I really enjoyed this entire series! The situations and problems the characters faced were realistic (as much as dealing with killers ever is) and the purity of the relationship between Mac and Isabelle was a nice single plot line to follow without being overly complicated or angsty.
I didn't like how it was separated into 6 books. I also didn't like how it started in the middle of a case but overall the books were good and I would recommend giving them a read
Could only end with them knowing all. The twist and turns as how this storyline goes draws you in and you can't believe how this comes together. Will check out this author other stories.
Did not finish. If the author spent as much time and effort on the actual story scenes as she did the sex scenes this might have been a halfway decent read.
