Gave this a go because I wanted to try the first of a PNR series that was fairly new, and not just new to me. Though some characters appear in her previous "Fallen Immortals" series, I never found myself lost or confused and may actually go back to read these characters' books.

The story has an interesting premise--sexy angeling (not quite full angel, but has wings and magick-type abilities) is tasked to protect a human scientist who may or may not figure out extra-dim

After reading the previous series with the Dragons of the House of Smoke, I was concerned that this new series might struggle to match the pace and intrigue but I should have known better! As usual for this skilled author, the great paranormal characters, suspense, twists, turns and steamy romance are all there in abundance - together with some of the stars of the previous series! However, don't take that to mean you can't appreciate this story without having read the other stories, I believe t

OMG this series is rocking it all the way to heaven! We all have them watching out for us, but can you imagine, what can I say, but WoW!

Dr. Charlotte Netherman is convinced she has discovered the schematics to travel to the other dimension, she has no idea how true, so true that they have sent a guardian to watch over her. Her very own angeling that is slowly falling for her, but does not want to fall into the shadow by having lustful thoughts. When she is saved from sure rape a

What a wonderful book, beautifully written, characters you love and others not so much. It's about a brilliant scientist and an Angeling sent to watch over and protect her. I love the Angeling Tajaels character he's so sweet and totally committed to watching over Charlotte. I can't say much, I don't want to give anything away but this is a must read, excellent book.

This is a story about half angels and how they are given guardian duty. I found some things in this story about angels offensive. This is probably me and my view of heaven. This author takes her idea of heaven to a whole new level or should I say dimension. Not one character in this book was someone I would want to associated with or identify with. This is a fail for me. I'm adding a star for creativity and a well written plot.
Charlotte is a physicist working on a theory that objects can be moved from one dimension to another. Most people she knew did not believe such a thing could exist. But her boss did, and he and the money to fund the research, and he had faith in Charlotte.

Charlotte's fellow scientist was less than thrilled by her presence, perhaps because a) she was a woman, b) she was a woman who wouldn't give him the time of day ... or night, and c) the boss like her ideas better than his.

But, surprise the oth
Tajael is the first book in the Fallen Angels series, a follow on to the Fallen Immortals series. This can be read as a standalone, but to get a full grasp of the concept behind the war in the immortal realm, it would be beneficial to read the previous series.

Tajael is an angeling of light. Half angel and half human. He is a guardian and protector of the humankind. Falling for a human could send him into the shadows with the angels of the dark.

Charlotte is a brilliant scientist, working on a pro

If you think this series won't have the sexual tension of the Fallen Imoortals because we've moved from dragons to angels (angelings, too!), then you couldn't be more wrong. You see, that was my fear when I started this one. I was so used to (and completely immersed in) all that the yummy Princes of the House of Smoke had given us to enjoy, that I was afraid that this one might be more tame. I was wrong. Thank the heavens! I love that we kept the connection so close with the mention of our drago ...more

Nice follow-up series

I have read all of Alisa's books and loved them all including this one.
This is the start of the Fallen Angel series which follows after the House of Smoke dragon series.
Tajael is assigned to be a guardian angel to Charlotte. She is a scientist who is trying to figure out how to get to the third dimension. She believes that the current earth that she dwells on is in shadow to a higher dimension. She finally runs an experiment and a warning sound goes through the other dimens

Tajael (Fallen Angels 1) Incredible FIVEV STAR read!

Alisa Woods does it again! Tajael (Fallen Angels 1) is a fast moving, hot love story. Demons and vampire are swarming over Seattle trying to stop human scientists from making a world changing discovery. The dark fae of the Winter Court are causing havoc. Tajael and the angelings of the Guardian class are desperately trying to protect these scientists any and all evil.

First in Fallen Angel series

What a beautiful story! From the start to the end, intrigue, action, constant interest kept the story moving. Tajael is an angeling and fears the Fall. Being half shadow angel and human, Tajael is tasked with protecting a very brilliant physicist, Dr Charlotte Netherman. Charlotte has a theory regarding inter-dimensional transport and her boss Daxon is a billionaire willing to allow her to explore her theories. No one really expected her science experiment to work but

Angeling at risk

Tajael is given the task of guarding Charlotte, a Doctor of Physics. Charlotte has hypothesized that there is one other dimension than the one in which we live. She plans to access it by using a certain vibration in an MRI machine. Her boss, an eccentric billionaire has named it the SExI MRI! But what will happen in the other dimension if she succeeds?
It's strange and I liked this book but, when I think back, not a lot was resolved! We've also been through a lot of the same quest
The Book Junkie Reads . . .
Just my personal opinion but I highly recommend reading the prevailing series to get the entire gist of the war between the fae, immortals and humans. The connection would be clearer if you have the whole story. I am just very, very happy that I have the whole story so there was nothing holding me back from completely enjoying the read to the fullest.

Charlotte had me from the beginning of meeting her. I was not the only one. Tajael felt more than he dare share. He was already close to the shado

This author is fantastic at writing sexual tension, this book has loads of it. You don’t need to read the Fallen Imortal first series to enjoy this even though it’s a branch off of that series. I don’t think a reader will feel lost reading this as a stand-alone book. To be honest, the first half of this book was not a speed read for me, I felt it was really hard to get into. The second half definitely made up for the first half. There were some parts of the plot that didn’t mesh for me & som ...more

Charlotte is exceptionally smart and kind hearted. Tajael is sent to be her guardian angel, but along the way he falls in love with her and for him that is torture because he can't have her. Expertly written with great action scenes and drama. It's impossible to put down once you start reading it. It can be read as a stand alone, but I do recommend the series Fallen Immortals as Tajael is featured throughout it and it provides a lot of backstory for the Fallen Angels story. I volunteered to read ...more

I loved this one. Like many of her books, this was a love story with lots of action, good vs evil battles and of course hot sex. As Tajael fights his lust each day he falls more and more in love with the human he's supposed to be guarding. She loves him in return and their love grows until it's consuming them both. In the meantime, she's a scientist who has discovered a way to transport object to other dimensions. Her successful experiments act as a warning beacon for the Winter Court fae who ab ...more

This first book sets the stage for the whole new series. There are references to the dragons, some history about how the fae have infected the vampires and the impact that has on the human population. But the bulk of the story is still on Tajel and Charolette and how they bond. At times I've wanted to slap Marcus up side the head but I wanted to do that in the other series too, so that's just how it goes. It will be very interesting to see what the world looks like when the author is done.

Not for me

The book was for free, so I thought I give it a try because the short introduction was interesting.
First it's very slow, the information are detailed and writing is good, but it's all done without excitement, it didn't catches my interest, I couldn't warm up to the characters. The erotic was a bit weird I had hoped for some more sensual erotic between Tajael and Charlotte I found the word Holy annoying in those scenes. Overall this was not what I hoped for. Sorry.

Love is a Virtue Making Me Buzzy Jealous

Alisa has yet another awesome series. Tajael tries to fight the temptation he feels for Charlotte while he is guarding her 24/7. When he reveals himself to her, things get really hot. Charlotte doesn't know he's an Angeling, cloaking himself around her, and unknowingly tempts Taj more by fantasizing about him while pleasuring herself. When he finally gives in to the temptation, it is very panty wetting!

Great start to a new series! Charlotte is a scientist who may end up changing the world if she can survive and Tajeal is an angel sent to protect her. Tajeal knows he shouldn’t fall in love with Charlotte but will he be able to stop himself? This story is fast-paced with loads of suspense and drama, the chemistry between Charlotte and Tajeal is sweet and steamy. I was hooked from beginning to end. I loved it and am looking forward to more.

Yeah! Loved it!

Tajael story is seriously worth reading. The author has done a great job in balancing giving the read a story line worth reading with good sexual tension.

The scenes between Tajael and Charlotte are endearing, comfortable, sexy to downright having you squirming because they are tantalizing.

I have voluntarily read and reviewed this book received from the author for my benefit.

Enjoyable Read.

Though I enjoyed this first book from the "Fallen Angels" series,
It's not as action packed as I had hoped, still it was worth the read, and had moments will have your heart pumping.
This was more about Tajael's fight to stay in the light, and not fall to the shadow because of his building lust/love for Charlotte, the human scientists he's guarding.
Not a bad start to a new series.
Looking forward to reading more.

This book is part of a new series that comes after Fallen Immortals. It’s a standalone so you need not have read the previous books. Tajael is guarding a human woman. She is very strong and keeps Tajael on his toes (cloaked toes). Lots of suspense and some romance. I really enjoyed this book and can’t wait to read the next book.
I read this as it’s supposedly a new series and I need a new PNR series. And I love PNR but I simply didn’t understand all this stuff about Shadows and dragons and angel babies. And then characters kept popping up that I felt I should know but didn’t

If you’d read the first series then I think this will work for you. But I hadn’t and it needed some explanation

Oh my God.

I loved This story, I am more a shifter/ vampire addict. But I love redemption arcs so I have read my share of angels and demons finding their place in destiny. This book has a reminisce from another story, probably a short story of hers in one of the many anthologies I have devoured.
