What starts as a venture into the dungeons to pay for broken gear quickly ramps up to a murder mystery as the crew makes their way to the first safe zone to find a strong adventurer has been murdered most vilely and the only real clue to the murderer is he spent time alone with a voluptuous woman. Meanwhile Loki is doing her own investigating to discover the mastermind behind the plants that hurt some of her "children" and gods help anyone that gets in her way as she seeks out an audience with the god responsible for Oratoria itself.

One of my favorite moments in the book is when Bete tells Loki he smells the same scent from the sewers on 2 other individuals (read to find out who they are) her face suddenly turns serious and her eyes open clearly. This series really fleshes troublesome Loki out and I like how you can tell stuff is flying toward the fan and things are about to get messy unless she is defused which is funny considering she is a trickster and it is painfully clear when she is mad. :)

Pretty good volume. Investigation of the events of Monsterphilia. A trip to the dungeon to earn some money to pay back debts... a murder in the adventurer town of Rivira. And don't forget the mayhem.

There were only a few places the art threw me out of the groove this book so either it is getting better or I'm getting more acclimatized to it.

Verdict: If you are interested in Sword Oratoria, this is an okay place to start -- but the Light Novels are better!

It's so cool seeing the behind the scenes of what happened during the main story! Wow, deities behind the new monsters and a new egg?!! Loki and Bete, he is really strong.....though looking like he has a sad backstory....I wonder if we will hear more of it....?!

Wow! Who is the killer?! How does she know Aiz?!
