Thorough
This text was thorough and accessible, featuring succinct chapter summaries and insightful questions at the end of each chapter. Nevertheless, chapters one through nine were notably lengthy and, in certain instances, appeared somewhat repetitive. The book was translated like a ride-along or a tour of the criminal justice administrative systems, which was particularly engaging to me.

The book is informative but the writing style is less direct. As a result, the writing presents challenges in understanding certain terms throughout the book.

Allan Pinkerton was not a "copper" from Scotland. He was a "cooper" (barrel-maker.)
