2024, Jan: I got to watch Tot narrate this to Dad Dad. She's learning so fast. It's not that she can yet read the words, but she knows all the objects and is happy to talk about them.

2023: Not the most essential of words, but lots fun to read. It's small and sturdy. My toddler loves to hold it in her hands and see all the pretty pictures.

This very small book (about 4" x 4") is illustrated with photography. On the left page is an item (example: Ball) and on the opposite page is another picture (example: Frog) on a flap that opens out. (Example: Frog sits on on the ball.) Twelve first words.

This is a cute little flip book. Two simple sight words are presented. The child opens the flip and sees the two images put together (crown on the duck, for instance). Then there is a sentence that uses both sight words. It's a good little first reader.
