Dudko, Mary Ann and Larsen, Margie. Baby Bop’s Counting Book (1993). This book uses the beloved character of Baby Bop from the show Barney and a variety of familiar objects to teach counting from one to ten. Each number is illustrated in numeral and word form thus teaching kids the different ways to represent numbers. Each page has a sentence dictating how many objects are on the page. For example, the first page states, “Baby Bop has one special blankey.” then on the opposite page, it shows one yellow blankey and the number 1 on the upper left hand corner and the word one on the lower left hand corner. This pattern continues with other objects like 2 butterflies, 3 candles, 4 balloons, and so on. Each page is illustrated with bright and vivid photograph that appeals to young children. The photographs allow the young readers to easily identify the objects in the book. What I really like about this book is that it can also be used to teach colors. Target audience: ages 2 - 5.

Baby Bop! Long time no see! Great to see you again! This count to 10 BB has Baby Bop counting different things. The pictures are large and bright so that very small children will have no trouble counting the different items. A side note: is Baby Bop a stegosaurus? Not sure...but that would be my best guess!

A great educational book for your younger ones. My twin 3 yr old's loved it. Colorful fun pictures that helps get the child engaged and keeps them engaged. A great addition to any children's library.
