Favorite Quote: Never once had she encountered a stranger's erection and become weak-kneed with lust. Until now.

How can I resist a book where a cruise ship chef and a Navy SEAL get kidnapped, and then stranded on a deserted island?? This book is fun - although the SEAL did get on my nerves now and again. Let me set it up.

Cady is our chef, and in need to have a quiet and nice night out. She steps out of her comfort zone, dons a very sexy dress, and has a drink at the cruise ship bar once she is o

This is a fabulous castaways story. Cruise ship chef Cady thought she was just heading for a night of pleasure in the arms of the hot guy she picked up in the bar. The last thing she expected was to be mistaken for the former First Daughter he was supposed to be protecting, and kidnapped on the high seas!

Cady isn’t the woman he was sworn to protect, but it’s his fault she’s been taken. He’s got to go after her - and given that his other choice is drowning in the South Pacific, Logan starts swim

Good book, though a little different than the romantic suspense that I am used to. The parts I considered "suspense" happened at the beginning and the end, with the middle being a very good survival story. Logan is onboard a cruise ship near Tahiti, where he was supposed to be acting as a bodyguard. However, the client canceled, and he decided to take the trip anyway. He is recovering from an injury received on duty and looks forward to a little rest and relaxation. He also wouldn't mind a littl ...more

I LOVE this type of story-the one time she goes against type and BOOM!

The survival part reminds me of the old Linda Howard airplane crash survival book. The push-pull to acceptance of their love was great. I wish I could read more about this couple.

This book is like The Blue Lagoon...but different.

Susan Cliff's Stranded with the Navy SEAL is a satisfying and ever-entertaining castaway novel that's a bit lighter on the "suspense" bit of romantic suspense. (This is good, by the way—I appreciated that the romance was given more time to develop than any mystery plots, which is a frequent complaint I have with romantic suspense in general.)

I've never read a romance where the characters spend the majority of the book stranded on a deserted islan

Actually 3.5 stars

When cruise ship chef Cady Crenshaw is mistaken for a politician's daughter and kidnapped off her ship, Logan Starke (the off duty Navy SEAL she's been flirting with) springs into action. They survive the kidnapping attempt, but end up marooned on a deserted island. Can they survive long enough to be rescued?

Well, if two people had to get stuck on a desert island, there's no better combo than a Navy SEAL with extensive survival training and a chef who recognizes local fish, fru

A riveting survival story where the hero and heroine don't only have to survive the savage kidnappers but also the unforgiving nature of the stranded island out there in the middle of nowhere.
This story took my breath away and had me on the edge with many dangers and threats the main characters faced during their time on the island. The tension is high as time just goes by and there is no way to escape, no way to find their way back to the civilization, no way to avoid each other and the burnin

Risk averse chef by trade Cady Crenshaw does something completely uncharacteristic of herself, she convinces herself that she wants to have a one night stand. After all, the best way to get over someone is to get underneath someone else. And that someone else is named Logan Starke. Thank You Universe! A hot Navy Seal that's been on the radar for many of the single woman on board the cruise ship. They meet and talk and the signals are very clear as in let's take this back to my cabin.

They leave t

Cady is looking for a distraction while working as a chef on a cruise ship. She had her hear broken and is working on mending that and after meeting the gorgeous Logan Strake who is a navy seal might be the perfect distraction. Last thing she would've expected was to be kidnapped and saved by Logan only to be stranded on a deserted island.

I will admit as cheesy as the cover looks I really like it. Its pretty much what drawn me to check this book out in the first place. You know what this was a

I really enjoyed this one, from start to finish. It felt like I was reading a modern-day version of the Blue Lagoon, but with a lot more flavor and heat. And the main characters are way more interesting than the movie stars. I loved Cady's knowledge as a chef and all she offered to the story, not only with food but her cautious personality is something I can relate to and I liked how fierce and unafraid she was of speaking her mind.

Logan's military background made him intriguing. He had experie

Wow! Another superb installment. I've meant to pick up a Susan Cliff book for awhile now, and I was not disappointed. In true Cliff style, we're given an action packed romance and two strong main characters.

The setting was epic. Stranded together on a beautiful polynesian island, sandy beaches, scary caves, picturesque waterfalls... Perfection.

The plot: Logan, a SEAL on leave, has been hired to gaurd the former president's daughter. He's got the cruise tickets and a job to do, except, it turns

Cady has always plays it safe until she decides not to. What does that get her? Kidnapped and stranded on an island with sexy Navy Seal, Logan. Logan’s assignment, to protect the ex-President’s daughter, falls through so he’s stuck on a cruise ship to Tahiti. Not too bad of an assignment. He eyeballs Cady sitting at a bar. She eyeballs him back. The attraction is mutual. They chat, drink and dance then decide to head back to Logan’s room. Then things

A 5 star read.

Cady Crenshaw is a chef aboard a luxury cruise ship touring the South Pacific. She's also a close look alike former US President's adult daughter (think Obama). Navy SEAL Logan Starks is on semi light duty while he recovers from an injury and is assigned bodyguard detail for said daughter.

Daughter doesn't make it, and Logan spends time getting to know the intriguing Cady, who is recovering from a broken heart and a little stand offish. Bad guys grab Cady, though and throw Logan ov

I'm going to add a proviso before I review this book. I enjoy romance novels. However, I generally need romance AND something else. I like fantasy romance, sci-fi romance, regency or historical romance (sometimes). But standard contemporary romances usually bore me. And while this is listed an romantic suspense, and there is quite a lot dedicated to surviving on a deserted island, it's still basically just a contemporary romance. For 99.9999999% of the book there are only the two characters and ...more

If you liked "Castaway," you might like this story, too. Instead of one person stranded on an island, you'll get to know two. Cady Crenshaw has signed on as a chef on the cruise ship. Navy SEAL Logan Starke is on the ship because his job to guard the President's daughter was cancelled at the last minute, but he was already on board, so he stays, figuring he'll take a bit of a vacation.

The meeting of Cady and Logan at the bar one evening turns into a kidnapping, where Logan is knocked overboard

This was a good read with a very interesting storyline. This wasn’t your usual bodyguard type of storyline where he fell head over heels in love with the person that he was protecting from the bad guys. Okay maybe it was but he was not hired to protect her but he took his profession very seriously and when she was kidnapped he knew he needed to rescue her and keep her safe. Navy SEAL Logan never in a million years thought he would be stranded in a deserted island with a beautiful woman that he c ...more

I received this one via a Goodreads Giveaway, and was excited to get into it, but the beginning of this one really put me off simply because of the superficiality of the emotions involved. It wasn't insta-love, but it was such strong insta-lust that it felt really heavy-handed, and not particularly engaging. This, followed by rushed action, just started the book off on a bad note for me.

It did get better as the author slowed things down, and the characters and their emotions became more believab

For a romance book, it had a lot more alternative action rather than sexual action. It read very fast and there wasn’t any lulls that I was anticipating (I’m new to the romance game). The ending was pretty sappy, but, hey, that’s Harlequin Romance, right?

Enjoyed the book about Cady a chef on a cruise ship and Logan a Navy seal on a break. She is kidnapped and he rescues her, but they get stranded on a deserted island. Sparks fly as they try to survive until they can be found.
