Useful for someone trying to get basic information about stone carving. The first 30 pages are extraneous and probably not completely accurate. The section on stones and tools was the most useful. The step by step instructions seemed to move at odd intervals, so I couldn't get a great grasp on what was being done.
I bought this in prep for stone carving. I still have a few tools to find, but my biggest difficulty is in FINDING STONE TO CARVE. Very nice book regarding history, stone types and basic carving techniques, but not as helpful as I thought it would be.
