You know that feeling, when you open a book by an author you've never read before and the first couple of sentences give you that security that the writing style is exactly down your alley. This is what happenend when I started The Last King by Katee Robert. She has an effortless flow in her writing that makes it a pleasure to read.

Beckett King is heir to the Morningstar empire. His father just passed away and something about the way he died just doesn't sit right with him. The future of the emp

This is my fifth book by Katee Robert, and my favorite by far. I'm really glad that I got in on this series from book one, because she has sufficiently teased the next book enough to make me eager to continue on. The plot was set up with some real meat to it, enough to warrant a long overarching storyline in the following installments. Ms. Robert has proven

There’s nothing better then an enemies-to-lovers romance. The fire, the angst, the PASSION. The Last King has all that and so, so much more. Really though, I just want MORE of this story!

I can’t get over how much I loved Samara and Beckett. I love when two feisty people bicker and put up a good fight and that’s exactly what they did. Rivals at everything business related but when it came to their own personal feelings, well let’s just say they had a harder time fighting how they truly felt.

I love this cover! This is not an MC read but our main character does ride a Harley. In fact, Bennett's character was a good mix of motorcycle bad boy and rich corporate suit. They are my favorite types of Hero's.

Bennett just inherited his family company after his father dies in a car accident. There is not a lot of love lost between him and his father, but the accident sounds suspicious. When a series of events start happening soon after, Bennett knows he needs to investigate before he ends up
The Last King was a really fun and enjoyable book. Hate love?? Sign me up.

Beckett King was something something. He is the heir to the Morningstar empire - which the name makes me think of the show Lucifer for some reason. His dad just had an unexpected death which obviously doesn't sit well with him. Unfortunately that's not all. His competition is actually his aunt's company, Kingdom Corp. Blood may be thicker than water in some families.. but it sure as hell isn't in this one.

Katee Robert is an automatic one-click author for me. Her stories are always sexy, intense and filled to the tee with emotions and drama. I loved The Last King. Beckett and Samara were so hot and their banter was engaging and sexy. I also loved the underlying suspenseful theme and the turbulent family drama. This novel was fantastic!!

Katee Robert is easily an auto-read author for me. I was so excited to hear about The Kings series. I'm a sucker for all things complicated families and the Kings sounded like that kind of family. I can always count on this author to deliver achingly swoony romances and she certainly delivered that here with The Last King.

I always have zero trouble falling for Katee Robert's heroes. Beckett was no different. He had a quiet intensity to him that I found very intriguing. I just wanted to peel all

If you like contemporary romance you do not want to miss out on The Last King!

Beckett and Samara are perfect for each other. Beckett is alpha male without being an alpha-hole, he’s sexy, caring, fierce and a dirty, dirty talker. Did I say Beckett is a dirty talker? Samara is a strong heroine, a successful business woman, a dirty talker and a woman who is just as confident in the bedroom as the hero. I absolutely love Beckett and Samara! Samara is one

Katee Robert became a go-to author for me when she released The Marriage Contract in 2015. The Last King is the start of Katee's newest romantic suspense and she is starting it off well.

The Last King surrounds the King family. Wealth, power and prestige is what has torn this family in two over the years. Beckett has inherited his father's company and fortune after his unexpected death. However, things are far some settled. His Aunt Lydia has always been a huge thorn in Beckett's father side and

Filthy rich family drama—tuned up several notches—lies at the heart of ‘The Last King’ as children pay for the bad blood that started decades before their time and work painfully through schisms because of one woman’s longstanding, poisonous resentment left to fester.

It isn’t often that I read such books (the constant bitching and underhanded manoeuvring can get headache-inducing), but Katee Robert’s writing is compelling enough to give stories like this a shot. As I suspected, it is easy to get

Having read and enjoyed the last three books in Katee Robert’s O’Malleys series, I found myself more than willing to pick up more of the author’s work. I keep meaning to go back to the start of the O’Malleys series, to fill in the gaps in my knowledge, but I’ve been sucked in by her new releases instead. First there was Make Me Want, the first book in the Make Me series. I wasn’t crazy about this one, but it was an okay enough read. Then there was The Last King, the first book in The Kings serie ...more

I really tried to hold off on reading this book until more of the series were released but obviously I failed.

Samara( I adore that name) works for Beckett's aunt who has been an enemy of his father for over 30 years, because of this enmity between the older siblings Beckett is not close with his family and their businesses are in frequent competition. Samara and Beckett have been rivals for years until at an away trip they have one night together.

The Last King by Katee Roberts an intense, thrilling and passionate read.
From the first few pages I was hooked. I couldn't get enough of Beckett and Samara!
I loved watching them together, they were strong passionate characters that knew what they wanted and went after it. The road to being together was full of road blocks but with honest communication, trust and a little help from a few trusted friends they were able to find a way to make it happen.

THE LAST KING by Katee Robert is the First book in The Kings Series. This is the story of Beckett King and Samara Mallick.
Beckett just inherited his fathers Morningstar empire which has left him wealthy but he feels that something else is going on with his father's death.

The Last King was an addictive and sexy new romance novel. This book started with a steamy and passionate start and it never lost that momentum! This story was a fast read that kept me very entertained!

The two main characters, Beckett and Samara, were interesting and well-developed characters. Samara was a bit abrasive at first, but I could tell that Samara was using that as a front to hide something. As Samara revealed more about herself and her past, it was easy to see why she had walls up. I

Katee Robert is one of my favorite authors. And it saddens me to say that The last king wasn't one of her best works. It wasn't as good as the other books she has gotten me used to. It felt a little too rushed and not as well constructed as the other books. I didn't feel the rush I should have felt when the bad guy went down. I am excited about the upcoming books in the series though. The two people of the couple from the next book are already known to the reader and I want to read their story. ...more
I usually love this author's work, but I could not get into this story. I thought it was overly long, and I felt ZERO chemistry/connection between Beckett and Samara.

I became a HUGE fan of Katee Roberts after being introduced to her O’Malleys series. Aside from her incredible writing, she has an amazing knack of bringing family discord to life. That is exactly what she did in the start of her new series.

The Last King was filled with suspense and mystery. It was raw and gritty and felt a bit reminiscent of when I watched that show Dallas as a young girl. The hostility between two branches of the King family

Samara Mallick and Beckett King both know that they last thing that they should be doing is getting any more involved with each other than their positions as adversaries in the boardrooms of the world will allow.

Thanks to an ill advised rendezvous in Norway. The two also know that they share a passion that render one or both of them unable to resist a touch, a glance, or even a hushed whisper from the other.

I loved The O’Malley’s and was quite sad that there would be no more books coming from the dysfuctional yet fascinating world and family, and then The King’s series was announced and the sadness started to dissipate and I made it a point to keep an eye out for The Last King and I was not disappointed! It was a fun, smexy, intense and kind of crazy read that was filled with characters I really want to know more about (like Frank...js) and kept me turning the

Boy am I glad that Katee Robert's writing a new series with feuding families because I'm still in a book hangover from the O'Malley series completing and I need more.
