The fifth book in the new Arctic Brotherhood series--heart-pounding werewolf romances by Jane Godman that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
They are the Arctic Brotherhood.
They are deadly fighters, fierce protectors and loyal mates.
Six months ago, the Arctic Brotherhood was torn apart when a respected former member, Hendrik Rickard was murdered. Cindy Harper, Hendri
The brotherhood were created by the goddess Angrboda as a kind of werewolf superhero team meant to protect the Arctic race of werewolves from enemies such as Fenrir the giant wolf (son of Angrboda and Loki). This is where the books originality comes ...more
It's nice returning to the Brotherhood series. I can admit, I've missed these guys. Add in the drama with Fenrir, that crazy God, and we're in for yet another bumpy ride.. Remember that biker girl that was picked up by Samson in book 2? This is her story....ok, and Sebastian's.
Cindy had been living with Hendrick for the past four years. Well, up until 6 months ago when he was murdered. She's still living at the house and carrying out the "housekeeping/best friend" duties, bu ...more
***I choose what I read and review based on what intrigues me!! Yes, I received a review copy of this book, but no one tells me what to think, feel, or write about any book!
This is the 5th book in the series, and it is for adults only due to the violence and steamy content. While not required, I highly recommend reading the series in order because it makes it more everything when you do.
This is Sebastian and Cindy’s story, but they have a hard ti ...more
I rate this Book 3 Stars
While reading it’s apparent you should read the books previous to this one, so you can understand who’s who and a better standing of what’s going on. I obviously did not go by that, therefore the one reading this review gets a heads up. Since I’ve been looking for a good paranormal romance, this one got my attention not only by the lovely cover but also the synopsis sounded pretty dang. Going in I was having quite a few head ...more
In the last book, one of the members (Hendrik) of the Arctic Brotherhood was murdered, and the villain, Chastel has once again escaped. Six months have passed, and Sebastian Novak ...more
Most assumed that Cindy was Hendrik’s mate, truth couldn’t have been further away from that idea. Yes, they were friends, best friends even and Cindy took care of Hendrik’s home – her official title was housekeeper. But there was nothing more between them beyond the love of a good friend. Cindy, like all of the pack members, was destroyed at Hendrik’s death. She still lives in his home, still continues to care for the place almost as if he’d walk back in one moment, ...more
In relation to the above statement, the author let information trickle into the story in just the right way to provide me with enough of the back story to pick up on the major conflict of the series without giving too much away or letting it take up too much of the current story. So the book can be r ...more
In this story, Cindy has been a companion to Hendrick. Everyone has thought they were mates. Now Hendrick is dead. Cindy wants to preserve his memory and doesn’t want to tell people they were not really mates. More like best friends. She is confused about everything. She ...more
I have loved this ongoing battle against Fenrir and Chastel while each member of the brotherhood finds their mate. It is great that there is enough detail that helps explain what has happened in previous books for those who have not read earlier books in the series and for people like me who don't remember all the details!
This book, Sebastian finds his mate but not until after much denial on his part! Everyone just assumed that Cindy was Henrik's ma ...more
The world of the Arctic Brotherhood is dealing with the loss of one of their own. But, no one is more so than Cindy. Hendrik was more than a best friend, he was a safety net since the time she was placed in his care. But now that he is gone, and strange things are happening, she has nowhere to turn ...more
I think this is my favorite book in the series so far. All the other ones did get a 4-star review, though.
Sebastian and Cindy make a great couple. If you read the other books, you would have seen the couple gradually gravitating towards each other. Great sex scenes. Profound meaning, not just sex; it's poignant sometimes (and playful at other times).
Plenty of action; plenty of emotions to go through; plenty of suspense and mystery.
You need to read the books in order not onmly to follow the plot line as it extends through each book building up..... but you meet Cindy earlier in the series.
It was good and I wanted to rate it higher but I feel the action part of the book took a back seat. After all the build up the way the villains were dealt with felt a bit eh.... I've reached my ...more
Sebastian and Cindy’s story is packed full of the same turmoil, action and danger that have been so prevalent in previous stories, while depicting the scorching intensity of the attraction between these wonderful characters.
The fabulous world building remains and the array of support characters lets us know there are still books to come. Wolf Hunter is another great story to whet the appetite ...more
I thought Sebastian and Cindy were a great match for each other. A fast, fun read. Plenty of action, with just enough romance thrown in.
Jane still gets the urge to travel, although these days she tends to head for a Spanish beach, or a European cit ...more
