July 3, 2026Paper Sculpture: A Step-By-Step Guide
I have owned the physical version of this book for MANY years and do you know that this review is the first time I’ve actually read it through? The pictures of the paper sculptures are just that stunningly gorgeous; you can just flip through this book over and over and over, and that would be enough. I would LOVE to have this skill! What these featured artists did is truly AMAZING! I would put any one of these and all of these on my walls. I attempted to do this for an art project. I tried to illustrate the Sandman from Dean’s Books of Fairy Tales, and I cringe now when I look at it. So, it blows my mind that these artists taught themselves how to do this because it looks so intricate and complex. I followed along with the step-by-step instructions slightly, but what I wanted was to see these demonstrated in a video. Unfortunately, since this is an older book, there’s no DVD or YouTube video for it, and that’s truly a shame. This is one of the most beautiful books for art I think I own.
