I'd read and really enjoyed the previous book 'Rose' way more than I expected, I was intrigued by Luciano and really looking forward to this book.
My problem is (and it is my problem I appreciate most people won't feel the same way) I don't like books where a dead love takes the main role. For me this wasn't really what I'd signed on for I wanted Luciano and Melanie's book what I actually got was Luciano and Casandra's tragic story with Melanie as the long suffering assistant.

I really struggl

The only thing that that saved Thorn from a 1 star review is Melanie. She's the bright, shining star in what is otherwise a very dull story. Melanie's been in love with her boss, famous tattoo artist Luciano DeRose, for 2 years. She manages his life and now his tattoo shop. She's been on the road with him for the entire time but she wants him to stick around in Vegas, his home, now that they're there, even if he thinks it's only temporarily. She's determined to get him to move past the grief tha ...more

Received an ARC for my fair review for netgalley. I miss Gio and Riley!!! but anyway. Luciano comes back to Vegas because he was needed since the shop was fantastic and they were in demand, and since Gio and Riley were traveling he needed to step up. This is the the second book in the series for Thorn Tatoo and this one was sad, in the first one, we heard how Luc was traveling, but we didn't know the reason behind it. We finally find out, that it was due to grief, and not the lost of his father, ...more

Thorn (Thorn Tattoo Studio) by Leslie North

The power of a second chance leads to one of the most beautifully written and highly unforgettable romances. Thorn is about taking a chance when the chips are down and the heart is a mess. A family in crisis, a business at a crossroads and a man in pain. Known for her intriguing heroes and sultry vixens, Ms. North tamps down the heat and delivers more of the sweet. The tattooed bad boy with the broken heart and the battered soul meets his match in a

4.5 Stars Thorn is book two in the Thorn Tattoo Studio series. The emotional rollercoaster Leslie North took me on with Luciano and Melanie was sexy, sad, happy and overall dynamic. What a wonderful read, I really enjoyed this book and will recommend it to other readers

Melanie was a strong capable heroine, with enough sweetness, charm and mystery to keep me interested.
Luc on the other hand got on my nerves. I love a brooding hero as much as the next person but he went to far too many times in what was a rather short book. Cassandra was mentioned way to often and his changed of heart came a little too late for me to buy into his romance with Mel.

REVIEW
Quite strangely for me after just having read one contemporary romance genre book which happened to be Rose, the first book in this Thorn Tattoo Studio book by Leslie North I fancied reading the next one straightaway, hoping for more of Giovanni, Riley and the tattooists that work at the Thorn Studio.

Once again this cover is dominated by a strong male with a heavily tattooed torso, this time it is the turn of a different DeRose brother, the one we have heard the least of in Rose, Luciano D

As a big Leslie North fan, I was obviously excited to read another book by one of my favorite Authors, so I dove right in. What was fun to discover was that Thorn is set in Las Vegas, which is where I currently live and set in the Tattoo scene. While I don't have any tattoos ( I guess I am too much of a chicken to go through with it), I do enjoy the artistry that shines through, if they are done right. So, I was already interested from the start.

Melanie and Luciano already had a pretty cool chem

Thorn is the second book in the exciting Thorn Tattoo Studio series by Leslie North. Luciano and his personal assistant Melanie are back in Las Vegas running Thorn Tattoo while his brother and sister in law are doing guest appearances around the country. While Luc insists that their time in Vegas is only temporary, Melanie has decided that she's going to do whatever it takes to get Luc to stay, and hopefully finally move past the overwhelming grief he's been carrying around for ye

After part one of the Thorn Tattoo Studio, I was delighted to find another part about the yummie tattoo artists. And while we continue to follow the struggles of the Thorn Tattoo Studio to keep afloat, we now meet brother Luciano. Whereas Gio and his Riley are absent in this part, Luciano is called back home by his brother Antonio to help fill in the management of Thorn Tattoo Studio.
Luciano has been on the road for two years,

Wow this book is so full I couldn't put it down it had me feeling so many emotions, it's an emotional ride book two in the Thorn Tattoo Series make sure you have some tissues ready. Leslie North is fantastic the way the story draws you in. Well done another fabulous book.

I was expecting a love story involving two people, but that's not what I got. What I got is a love story involving three people and not in the fun sexy sense.

Luciano is grieving the loss of his fiancee Cassandra who dies almost 4 years ago, but he hasn't even started to move on. In fact he seems to be obsessed with holding on. I realise there's no limitations on grief and that everyone deals in their own way, but he isn't dealing to the extent that Cassandra is a third participant in the relatio

The second book in the series, "Thorn" was a good read and I enjoyed it. Luc DeRose and his assistant Melanie, come back to the tattoo parlor that is owned by the DeRose brothers, for Luc to work as head artist. He is so in a funk and has been running from the death of the love of his life, it made me wonder how Melanie would pull him out of it. After all, it had been a couple of years. While I liked Thorn and the companionship between him and Melanie, I found Melanie had amazing grit to pull Lu ...more

Beautiful second chance story! This is the second book in the Thorn Tattoo Studio Series, but it can be listened as a standalone. I love Luciano and Melanie's story. This is Luciano's second chance love story, after his ex's death. Melanie is a strong woman, so understanding. She makes all it took to help Luciano to go ahead with his life and finding love again. This story is believable and so beautiful. There is a beautiful and realistic HEA. I love Leslie North's writing and I love her HEA end ...more

I really liked this book. The two main characters were very strong. Melanie had been Luciano's assistant for two years and they had traveled for Thorn Tattoo shop for conventions all that time. Now that they were in Las Vegas (where the shop was). Melanie wanted to settle down and with Luciano. However, Luciano just wanted to leave and travel to escape the memory of losing his first love. Melanie helps him finally face this, but not without strife. Luc is stubbornly holding onto his grief and Me ...more

Melanie has been the personal assistant to tattoo artist, Luciano De Rose for two years. She has watched while Luc has run away every year when the anniversary of the death of his girlfriend, Cassandra, comes around. Melanie finally puts her foot down to get him to get on with his life when it blows up in her face.

This is the second in this series and I enjoyed this one more than book one, this plot has such a tear-jerking story. I felt so bad for Luciano as the grief that held him in such a gri

Thanks to netgalley.com for the ARC.
Oh this story will rock your world! Luc is hot and creative and has this huge heart that has been broken and there is only one girl who can help put the pieces back together. Melanie is smart and doesn't put up with all the crap that Luc is throwing her way. Melanie is like the girl who you could be friends with, just hang out and have a great time chatting with. I love the growth of these characters through the book. It was so sweet to see Luc start to deal

Luciano was the missing brother mentioned in the first book, Rose. He has been traveling place to place for years trying to run away from the pain of loosing his fiancée. With him the whole time is his assistant, Melanie. Melanie has feelings for him, but is smart enough not to want to compete with a memory. She is way to kind and understanding.

Luciano has feelings for her as well but can’t let go of his memories. He doesn’t mean to hurt Melanie but does several times before he clears his head.

I was looking forward to Luciano's story since book 1, the elusive DeRose brother. Love his name. I really felt his pain over his struggles to overcome the death of his fiancée, but he needed the 'push' Melanie gave him, even though sometimes her methods were a bit over the top. I am glad she finally made him 'see' her way, the journey is not easy but they do find their HEA, their chemistry is sparking. Looking forward to Antonio's story. - 4 stars

This book ended to soon for me. The dynamics Leslie North developed between Melanie and her boss Luciano was sizzling hot, romantic, sad, happy, and funny. The emotions throughout this book takes the reader on an emotional rollercoaster that makes the reader want to continue it through the next story in the series. Luciano doesn't realize how important Melanie is in his life, or what an important part she plays in helping him live until he starts to open his eyes and realize what he finally migh ...more

ARC - I voluntarily offered to review this book with no obligations and my opinions are honest!
Luciano was hiding behind his pain.
Since the love of his life was taken from him, he stopped living.
Melanie was Luciano's PA.
She also had a crush on Luciano, but she was afraid to take a risk.
Luciano did not look like he wanted to move forward.
He was stuck in the past.
Finally, Melanie was tired of this "Luciano"
She was willing to fight for him.
Love always win.
Loved the ending.

Good book this continues the story of the DeRose brothers Gino met his love on book 1. In this book we meet Luciano and Melanie. She has been his PA for a couple of years as he has been tattooing on the road. They have settled back in Vegas as he takes up the head artist job at the family tattoo shop. This is almost a second chance story. The characters are personable, sarcastic, and engaging. There is give and take between the two main characters who have a wild attraction that they have avoided for two years. This is a great romance that you can get lost in. I love Leslie North's writing, She always has tons of emotions and feelings in her stories.

I would have liked to see a little more time between when Luciano figured out he cares about Melanie and still in love with his dead fiance. The whole book is devoted to how Luciano can't move on with his life because it would be like he's forgetting his lost love. I personally don't like books that do this. For me it's better if it's just background for a story.

I loved this book. It was a heartfelt struggle from overwhelming heartbreak to living again, not just surviving. The struggle felt so genuine that you could understand the pain and frustration of both parties. Our Alpha was just lucky enough to have a beautiful soul trying to help him through to the other side of this tragedy. Beautifully written.

Thorn by Leslie North was a great read. It is the second book in the Thorn Tattoo Studio Series. Luciano is the head artist at Thorn Tattoo who is just trying to get out of town since his ex died. Melanie has spent a lot of time fixing Luciano's life even though she has a crush on him. I loved reading Luciano and Melanie's story and cant wait to read more by Leslie North.

I received this audiobook free for an honest review. This was a fast-paced great story. It takes a while for Melanie and Luciano to get their act together, but there is a lot of story getting there. The narrator did an excellent job with the characters and the story. I need to go back and get book 1.
