Wow... Gilbert Morris and Dan Meeks have done it again. Another powerful book that anyone should read!

This one proves that looks can be deceiving...

Lurking under this lush vacation planet is an evil woman trying to claim a throne...

She's attempting to get rid of Christianity and bring back the old ways of sacrificing humans.

It'll take all the Daystar crew to work together to defeat her & save the royal family.

Like the previous books in the Daystar series, Dark Spell Over Morlandria features the space rangers on a mission of spiritual importance.

Morlandria is a planet that has long been held in the sway of a dark spirit who demands human sacrifices.

The sacrifices ended when the current rulers converted to Christianity; the planet has since become a tourist trap. But dark forces are rising again and the Rangers out for some R&R are about to fall in to different kind of trap.

This one leaves a few loose plot threads, but there is a lot of continuity in the series so far. I feel confident that those threads will come into play in later books.

The sorceress was really unique, although I think Morris could have done more with her in concern of her powers. Of course, she is highly influential and creepy in that aspect, but I still think she easily could have been improved. Still, this is a great Christian series that incorporates adventure with models for daily living.

I read this around grade 4 or grade 5. As an avid Star Wars fan, this book greatly appealed to me. I recall it being exciting.
