This book is about the ultimate underdog, John Stockton. John is still known today as one of the best point guards ever to play in the NBA. With only being 6 foot, 1 inch and 175 pounds, that never seemed to phase John. Stockton attended the university of Gonzaga and then at the end of his senior year, he decided to enter the NBA draft. Unfortunately for John when he did get drafted he didn't exactly get the recognition he wanted, after the fans let out cries of booing. Stockton was drafted by the Utah Jazz and as for his first year, well it didn't go exactly as planned. But luckily for the Jazz they for sure got a great pick on the 6 foot 8 inch, 265 pound small forward Karl Malone out of the university of Louisiana Tech. And from then on Malone and Stockton where known as Utah's dynamic duo. Later on in the season Stockton ended up squeezing his way into the starting lineup of the jazz. And of course along with his partner Karl Malone. Malone and Stockton where impossible to stop and eventually at the end of the season both Stockton and Malone ended up being selected on team USA. There are so many great things about John Stockton and his basketball career and we've only began to just scrape the surface of John.
