I highly recommend this book for anyone looking for a broad introduction to the legal system in Britain. Covers a large range of areas and issues, including structure, development and procedure of the courts and legal system. It also provides information on more niche areas such as how the garments and wigs of judges etc developed. A nice section at the end covers some interesting cases from 20th and 21st century.
