This is a great piece of History. We follow an almost unknown danish/german citizen through the Third Reich from beginning to end. The story is told in a fascinating way and the author does his utmost to transfer his feelings through the text and supplied with paintings of is own. It is a rare tale of hope while criss-crossing the Third Reich in WWII.

Hans kone Gretchen lidt over 10 år senere.

No doubt the best book I have read this year. Based on some amazing diaries and manuscripts including artwork left by a German turned Danish citizen who lived through WWII as a reluctant soldier and doctor, and since tried to write his way out of the haunting memories with one manuscript in German and two in Danish which were left for his kids who had very limited knowledge of his past. This story gives you some idea about how everything that happened during those days could take place and what ...more

Disse tekniske genvordigheder afspejler naturlig ...more
