About the author

Sam Taplin grew up in a beautiful valley in Yorkshire, where he dreamed of being a writer, and after three years reading other people's books at university he started writing his own. He's been doing it ever since. When he's not writing about lonely rabbits or inquisitive bears, he likes doing card tricks, writing songs and playing long games of chess by the fire.

Tosi söpö kirja! 1-vuotias osoittelee mielellään kukkia, leppäkerttuja, muurahaisia ja muita kuvista löytyviä yksityiskohtia. Pieneksi pahvikirjaksi eri eläimiä ja hyönteisiä on yllättävän paljon.

Kirjan koskettelupinnat eivät ole teksturoituja vaan eri kerroksia. Kirjassa on kurkisteluaukkoja ja muotoleikattuja sivuja. Joka sivulla kysytään missä jänis on ja näytetään jotain mikä voisi olla pupun korvat, jalat, silmät tai häntä, mutta onkin jotain muuta, kuten hiiren korva tai sudenkorennon siipi. Lopulta jänö löytyy kirjan viimeiseltä aukeamalta.

I read through some books on an Usborne fair - this series is excellent! The illustration is delightful, the paper cut-outs are great (the baby can follow/touch them), the clues for finding the animal are well thought out, and I loved the extra cutting of the last page to turn, behind which the little animal is found curled to mummy or daddy.

What a fun and sweet little board book. Nice to have peep-through cut outs instead of flaps for a change. Also, a bit sturdier option for my rambunctious little boy.
The story is sweet, the transitions are well done and the illustrations, texture/cut-outs and actual cut-outs are neat.
Would be a nice addition to a baby's bookshelf.

Sød lille kighulsbog, hvor man leder efter den lille kanin.
Illustrationerne er rigtig fine og der er en masse små dyr, som man kan snakke om på siderne undervejs, når man leder efter den lille kanin.
