As soon as I opened this follow up to Angsten’s debut novel, Dark Gold, I felt like I should have refreshed my memory a bit more by re-reading it - or at least skimming it over. The first book ended - from what I recall - pretty completely, so this sequel felt like it didn’t quite flow naturally from where I thought the first book ended.

Anyhow, this fast adventure traded in the South American seas for the Grecian Isles. The plot’s pacing was quick and it made for a pretty entertaining novel. How

I bought this book at a used bookstore in South Carolina. Having a few dollars to kill, I snagged it up after being completely sold on the inclusion of Greek mythology alone. Waiting till I got to my hotel to even see what the book was about, I was suddenly curious. The first 100 pages are extremely interesting. It feels like Eli Roth's Hostel if it had included a lot of Greek references and then there is the murder that stands at the center of the plot. I will admit that I was hooked. A mystery ...more

I gave this historical fiction five stars. It read fast with plenty of action but more importantly it had good historical information presented in quick entertaining way.
