Reviewing this book is more akin to reviewing my life. I found Annie via a 2nd degree friend years ago whose YouTube channel has provided regular personal finance inspiration for years. The significant life motivation is difficult to realize as it takes persistence, discipline, attention, but as she says, anything worth achieving is going to be hard. Annie is immensely wise with pithy addages, sayings, and cliches always brought at the right time. Her speaking naturally and authentically made buying her book a natural necessary next step. I was very reluctant to spend when ironically the goal is to save money but as long as the net is significant, it's worth it and especially at $0.99 for the Kindle read-on-web reader version, it's an easy price proposition.
Her book's value is vastly far more than the price. Sure, it's advice you could imagine, but the accountability, inspiration, and reminder are all invaluable. She reminds me I started out at age 22 into the real world with similar values and practices as her. I however many a years later need a fresher written reminder and her writing does just that and her life testimonial gives her incredible potent credibility and inspiration both.
To review in a manner more atypical of books, her writing style is very enjoyable with a style and tone that's all hers. I can well attest to its cadence and penaché after seeing so many of her videos for so many years. Her balancing advice with story, seriousness with laughter, detail with brevity are signs of her intellectual caliber, all to the reader's advantage. The difference is this book's goal is real life improvement and not mere idle entertainment or silly banter which shall fade into the ether. Instead, the highly motivational reading warrant having a notepad nearby. Her life story is itself a drama itself worthy of a book.
Annie has a deep, immense feeling and heart for having others share in her feelings and lessons. Her book is a supreme testimonial and explanation of so much of what she is and does.
