I throughly enjoyed reading this anthology. I had so much fun! There are great fast paced, gritty sometimes, sarcastic and action thrillers stories, even emotive. I already have read some of the authors’ works, and Nathan Farrugia had recommended it to me. This is a wonderful way of getting to know new authors and their writings, to make me subscribe to their newsletters and read more of their books. I highly recommend this anthology!

I highly recommend this book. I was given ARC in exchange of an honest opinion on this book. I especially liked Sick Girls. This book blew my mind. I don’t give spoilers but the storyline of the three mothers will have the reader glued until the end of the book. Must read!!!!

I fully recommend this series of books, some new authors to myself but give it a go you will not be disappointed.

For now, I have only read Zero, by Nathan Farrugia. I plan to read the rest of the collection soon, but I just had to share how much I enjoyed this one novella. Zero shows an episode of Xiu's past. If you're familiar with the author's novels, you will know Xiu well. Or as well as you can possibly know this most mysterious of operatives. If this is your first time in the Fifth Column universe, you will still enjoy this read, which is a stand-alone story. It is a glimpse into Xiu's first mission, ...more

I loved this collection, it's very well curated well worth reading

I've been reading advanced copy's of 3 books in the collection. Zero which is in the same space as Nathan Farrugias Helix books and it's absolutely gripping. Then The Rookies guide to Espionage which was also a good read with a more light-hearted edge to it if you can have light hearted terrorism and murder! Finally I've finished Omega Strain a fast paced thriller well written and exciting.

I'm so looking forward to reading the re

This is such great value for so many incredible Authors in the one box set. I’ve read and thoroughly enjoyed novels from the likes of Nathan Farrugia, John Birmingham, Terry Keys, Lee Hayton, Steve P Vincent, and Dave Sinclair. There is also a great mix of genres, from Techno Thrillers, Murder Mystery’s, and Action Thrillers. I’ve so far read Nathan Farrugia’s; ‘Zero’ and Terry Keys: ‘Lie No More’, and they are both excellent stories. My reviews are below. I can’t wait to get to the other storie ...more

Having received a True Crime Enthusiast badge from Amazon on my profile should server as an indication for one of my favorite genres to read/review. So, when I hear about this marvelous collection of 20 stories of murder and bedlam on September 23rd, I didn’t hesitate to pre-order it.

While these stories might not be true, they’re sure to pique my desire to read about ingenuous crimes, dreadful murders, mysteries able to cause heart palpitations, and not to forget about plot twists will make one

In Too Deep is just one of the amazing stories in this box set, written by one of my favourite suspenseful authors Fiona Quinn.

Deep's story was a thrilling adventure, with fantastic twists and turns. The whole story was so fantastic from beginning to end I just couldn't put it down.

as always Fiona's Inniquis adventures are always brilliantly written and full of wonderful character you'll remember forever.

Sick Girls by N.D. Hill is about one evil mother. The question is – who is it? The author keeps us guessing and turning those pages. If you like medical and psychological thrillers, I recommend this one. The ending alone is worth getting the set. Didn’t see it coming.

Since there are so many books in this box set, I will review them as I get them read. This really is quite a deal for a box set and a great way to read new authors I haven't read.

Zero by Nathan Farrugia - 4 stars - This is a stand-alone story about Xiu from the Helix series. I have read the entire Helix series. I loved learning more about Xiu. This is a great technothriller, action-packed until the end.

My overall rating would be 3.9 stars.

Murder and Mayhem is a collection of 20 action/adventure stories. Overall I really enjoyed the compilation. I will give a brief review of each story now.
Zero: I would give 4 stars: I found this to be a very good addition to the author's Helix series. However, I was a bit confused where the main character did not seem to have enhanced skills like the characters in the Helix series even though this character was in the same training.

Seeing Red: 3 1/2 stars: Ve

It did take me a while to get through these stories, not because they are hard work but because I tried to read each one as a stand alone story rather than jumping from one to the other and having them all merge into one massive 'thing' in my mind.

The first story, Zero by Nathan Farrugia, tells the story of Xiu, the operative well known to readers of the Fifth Column series, and shows how she started out on her path as an operative, who her mentor was and where she cut her teeth, including a bap

This review this for the story IN TOO DEEP, by Fiona Quinn.
This novel was definitely up to Ms. Quinn's standard of skill, aptitude and imagination, when it comes to plot and character development. Once again, this author has pulled the reader in from the first page and kept the story-line driving forward into the abyss of human trafficking, pedophilia, prostitution, art theft, murder and crime organization. That's right readers, this book has it all!

This mystery will keep you in your seats, as t

not kindle unlimited, actually got a freebie copy gifted to me in a small giveaway through amazon and one of the writers I presume, but did notice {and so NOT right} that a gifted copy does not show as 'verified' for the recipient, just the sender, which is stupid, even more so than having 'verified' difference at all {have my amazon set to all reviews, I don't care whether verified or not, just if they actually read the whole book, if collection ALL of them not just one story, etc} -- none of t ...more

As a fan of Fiona Quinn, I started reading In Too Deep. I love reading about the Iniquus Team. Join Deep and Lacie as they try to puzzle out who is trying to kill her. Fiona Quinn has a way of making you feel you are a part of the story. I feel like I am right beside the characters as they try to get thru the gray area and find the true black and white, who are the good guys and who are the bad guys, who can they trust. There are several plot twists that I didn't see coming. There are some shock ...more

Zero. Nathan M Farrugia

A prelude to the Helix and Fifth Column Books, which I would like to add are masterfully written. I would suggest reading in order for a deeper understanding of the primary characters and there motivations. Xiu, the primary character in Zero is not a fully trained operative, but she is a natural. Lethal and already highly skilled. She is inadvertently drawn into an incident in a clinic where everyone is murdered. One of the doctors she is very close too. She tells her to w

If you like murder and mayhem and thrillers this is a great anthology to get. I loved that I was not quite sure what I was going to find in the next book. I liked that the stories all took place somewhere different and were not the same story. And I found this a great way to try out some new authors I had heard about. The stories ranged from crazy to downright physiological. Some I could figure out the bad guy others had a few twists. Just a crazy anthology that I loved to read and give my opini ...more

The only story I have read was that by H.B. Moore (I bought the series, strictly because she was included in it). Oh, how I marvel at this woman's intelligence, the crafty plots she is able to engineer! My own IQ is quite impressive, but hers must be off the charts. Wow! This was no exception. There were two major surprises at the end, one of which I expected, one I didn't. I promise if you don't read anything but this one segment, you'll be glad you purchased this bargain! Review for Poetic Justice by H.B. Moore

Wow! This thriller kept me at the edge of my seat! I felt like I was getting pieces to a puzzle and couldn’t stop until I could put the picture together. And then when I thought I had it…wham! Twist! There are deep, complex characters, secret organizations, true villians, twists and turns and more. I loved it!

Content: PG-13

I received a complimentary copy of the book, which I voluntarily reviewed. I have given my honest opinion.

Review for To The Grave:
Dani's family had been cursed by Angel's family many many years ago. That said, when she dies, she will always come back to life and Angel and those in his family are the keepers to help her out of her grave. Dani is on a mission to figure out who killed her, but the enemy could be closer than she thinks. Will she be able to figure it out before she dies again? This story was left with a cliffy, can't wait to read the next book to find out what will happen next!

Ups and downs

I was looking forward to reading this collection. Found it disappointing in some aspects. I enjoyed immensely some of the stories and delighted that l might have a few new authors to follow but just as equally some of the stories were quite boring. This book was a strange mix of murder thrillers with obscure aspects lime magic thrown in. In the end this book actually took weeks for me to complete

I'm actually not sure I have the correct collection. I finished it a couple weeks ago and it's on my Nook so...
Anyway, many of the stories in this collection I really liked, there was one that was just so so, but I can't remember the name of it. sorry.

I got this book for free, but frankly, can't remember where from. Man. This forgetful stuff. lol I probably have had it quite a while, in my defense.

Great collection of supernatural stories

I enjoyed every single story in this collection. Every super you can imagine is represented here. Some mystery and some thriller. All are awesome and intriguing. The characters stay with you too. Like good characters should! This is a nice long collection, so lots of reading enjoyment. I plan to check out other works by these authors, as I liked their writing styles. Yes, great book!
