Wisteria Wyverns
Wisteria Witches Mysteries, Book 5
By: Angela Pepper
Narrated by: Tiffany Williams
This is an audible book I requested and the review is voluntary.
I love these witchy books! This is book five in the series. This one has Zara dealing with family surprises, another dead body, another ghost, lots of clues and mysteries, all tied up with humor and wit! These are fun stories that always entertain, I enjoy the characters and fun plot.
The narration can't be best for this series! Perfect!
Can't wait for the next book!

These are my comfort books. It's always such a delightful experience to read one of these. I have no idea why I never completed this series because I remember loving it a lot. And I am so glad I picked this up again because god knows how badly I needed some humour and light-heartedness after my last read..

Imaginative and colorful mystery

Angela Pepper has been my favorite paranormal author. Her books get better with each in this series especially. Zara Riddle is a thirty something mother of a teenage daughter and recently had her witchy senses come alive. Zara is something of a ghost whisper that attracts ghost and they become part of her until they move on. Each book in the series is a complete book with the mystery solved but there are running themes with more info reveled in each book. There's almost a mixture of a cozy and regular paranormal parts and best of all, Zara doesn't own a bake or tea or any food related shop. Yeah! She's a librarian! The series is quite refreshing from the normal cozy and Wisteria Wyverns has some major surprises from the first chapter forward. I'm excited to read more from Ms. Pepper and more adventures from Zara and her family.

I like that Angela Pepper does not hold back on her creation of things that really (hopefully) can't be true. It's fun to read about things that go bump in the night without really worrying about what goes BUMP in the night! Haha Such fun reads, I look forward to number six.

Lack of Zing

The first half of the story felt like it was missing its signature wit and charm. I feel like part of it is the complete Debbie Downer that is Zara's mom, but I don't quite think that's all of it. The story catches its stride about three-quarters of the way though, so I thoroughly enjoyed that portion of the book, and I'm intrigued to read the next one. I hope book 6 continues the fun like the first four books that got me hooked!

2020 bk 381: Zara Riddle and her daughter check out the ice cream and the spa in the neighboring town when who should they encounter but Zara's mother - the one who died several years ago. And the list of other folks who pop up in this title is fun as mystery, paranormal activity, and death follows our favorite librarian witch. Forced by a murder to stay at the spa, Zara runs into an ex friend from high school, ghosts she had previously dealt with, crooks she thought had left the area, oh, and did I mention coming to terms with her mother who still being her same sweet self. A fun read as a companion to the previous book where she had dealings with her father.

Ugh what is it with parents showing up when not expected. I love and hate how Zara finds her supposedly dead mother very well alive and enjoying life. I hate that the dead person that shows up this time is someone Zara knows and dealt with before. I also hate that they find out about Archer and the genies. Poor Zoey is just having tons of people come into her life suddenly.

Wow!! Is it 2018 yet! I need more lol. My mind is reeling from the unexpected revelations taking place in this 5th book. Zara is the Queen of sarcasm. Who will Zoey’s father turn out to be? Did Zara’s mother know what would happen to her once she denounced her gifts? I can’t wait to find out what other secrets the DWM is hiding!

I am a big fan of Angela Pepper, I enjoy her writing style and characters. This series follows a mother and daughter with different super natural powers and there interaction and conversation always reminds me of Gilmore Girls, which I am a big fan of.

Can't wait to see what book 6 brings, this little town is filled with magic around every corner and underneath every rock. Love it!

In this book Zara is stuck at a castle in a neighboring town with her mother, who was dead. Zara is thrown into another murder, while talking to her mother the ghost of Jo Pressman comes into the room and possesses Zara. Zara goes on a hunt for the girls body and the craziness only get better from there.

Witches, werewolves and lots of secrets. Each Wisteria book is connected to the previous one and should be read in order. Zara is stuck in a castle, with many other guests, because they could be witnesses to a murder. But, nothing is so simple as a murder in Wisteria. Join Zara and the Department of Water and Magic as they solve the whodunit and other questions. Zara's sarcastic humor may be lost on Chet and other friends but I am a huge fan of her snarky personality. The whimsical storytelling is filled with humor, sarcasm, romantic moments, and mystery. I was thrilled to get an advanced copy and voluntarily wrote my unbiased review. Enjoy the Riddle ladies!

Witty and perfect!

If you haven’t read the other books in the series I suggest starting with the First and reading your way through! I read these books like water! They never seem to last me long enough!
They are so good and they have such a hold on my imagination that it is hard to focus on anything but reading the next part of the book!
I don’t post spoilers but I can say that this was the only book I have read in a long time where I didn’t see more than half of the stuff coming! I can usually tell what is going to happen in a novel, this book kept me guessing (although I did end up guessing a few things correctly)!

This is Wisteria Wyverns, book 5 of The Wisteria Witches series written by Angela Pepper. This series is so much fun! Witches and shifters and mystery....oh my!! You won’t be able to resist the zaniness that is the town of Wisteria and its residents. Zara Riddle is smack dab in the middle of it all, just like always. Be prepared to read it from front to back without stopping, because you won’t t be able to put it down! Another original story by Angela Pepper! I received an advance readers copy and chose voluntarily to leave this review so you won’t miss out on the fun!!

Witches, Shifters, and many secrets. Each books are connected to the previous one so should be read it in order.

Zara stuck on a castle with many others as potential witnesses or murderer.

As usual Angela spun a myth, give legend, and throw us a cliff to hang on wondering what Zara has done now..

lots of laughs, plot twists, mystery and magic.. Can't wait for the next book. not even writen yet...

Wisteria Wyverns

Zara Riddle rides again. She gets a new ghost, then finds the ghost's dead body. Naturally she is sure that she has to find the murderer. Of course, the LEOs think they are supposed to do that. Soon Zara finds herself in a locked-down castle, with a crowd of murder suspects, an unusual bunch of LEOs-- and a wyvern. And an undead mother. May you enjoy this story as much as I do.

I've given 5 stars as I did enjoy it. This is one of my favourite series. I felt the explanation of the 4 Eves was long winded and just padding out the novel and the end was a bit of blah blah blah to make up the number of pages. I would have preferred to learn how her relationship with Chet had altered. Also, was his change of character anything to do with the erasure machine. On the whole though a good read. Looking forward to the next one.

Good Read

I just love this crazy funny Wisteria Witches series. There is something for everyone to feel part of and get lost in the story. I was surprised at my guess of Mom-Zirconia being right. My question is if the djinn/jinn/genie is the father would that make a more powerful child? (Trying not to spoil alert) Or did he lie?

The Riddle women are highly entertaining and never short of trouble to get into. I like the dynamics between the characters and the surprises that are always just around the corner. There is plenty of witchcraft used, often with humour entwined.

I just want Zara and Chet to get together. This is a cute series about everything. A lot of humor, I find myself laughing often. However, this book started slow, or maybe I just wasn't in the mood. I don't know. But it did get can't put it down good about half way through. And now I have questions. Lots of questions.

I've read all the books in this series so far, and will continue the adventure so long as Ms. Pepper chooses to continue writing about Zara, Zoey and Zinnia (and now, Zirconia) Riddle. Light, fun reading with interesting regular characters along with the occasional newcomer to spice things up a bit.

Continuing story

The book is a good read. Moves along at a good pace and characters are an interesting mix however, it seems only part of the mystery is solved with unanswered questions left to possibly be answered in the next installment. So till then.....
