Last Words, where Non-Fiction meets Fiction, and the lines in between are blurred by forbidden love.

Amelia - 1942:

The inside of my closet held the last bit of my freedom before I was torn from my home and shoved onto a dark train.

Our destination was even darker. “Women and children to the right. Men to the left,” they shouted at us.

Everything was taken from me, leaving

This book... I'm still at a loss for words. Such a beautiful, powerful, and emotional story. I received this book as a beta reader, and I am happy to say this is the first time I won't need to get an ARC after changes have been made. THIS BOOK IS AMAZING!

Shari really out did herself. I can not wait for this to be released so others can read it.

It's been a few week's since I finished Last Words and I'm still trying to find my words on this EPIC read.

Shari says this is where Non-Fiction and Fiction gather up and blur the lines of forbidden love- she wasn't lying on that.

My heart stopped at times throughout the chapters. It was a drug that I couldn't put down. I needed more... I had to know not only Emma's story but Amelia's. The bond, the connection, the twist, the love, the hurt- it all flowed into one great masterpiece.

You know the feeling when you just don't know what to do with yourself because of all sorts of heavy stuff are about to burst in your heart? Well, this is me right now. When Shari first contacted me, I was thrilled to meet a Jewish author from the states that wants to keep the memory alive. But now - after finishing her book - I feel so grateful and fortunate for the chance that I been given.

Oh my gosh I literally was up all night reading this novel. It was so worth the lack of sleep. I started reading this novel early in the day and could not force myself to stop reading. It was so good I wish I could go back force myself to slow down and reread it an savor every moment. I loved this novel. It was a wonderful slow burn that just grabbed my attention and would not let me go. I am so glad I read this novel. I loved all of the characters, they all touched my heart. Last words is a poignant tale of love, loss and finding your one true love. Time, pain, suffering- nothing matters when you've found "the one".
Last Words is compellingly readable with characters who make you laugh, swoon, become enraged and fall head over heels in love with!
This is Shari's best written novel to date. So grab a tissue and a mug of coffee and sit back and be mesmerized by this wonderful book.

    6 "mcdreamy" stars from me!

Once in a blue moon an author comes along who gives you a piece of her heart and soul through her work. Last Words by Shari J. Ryan was that book for me. It wasn't just another book to read but a journey of love, immeasurable loss and unwavering hope. Amelia's story will break your heart but also lift your spirits. Her granddaughter Emma was given the gift of reading her grandma's sacred written words tucked away in a journal for years. Amelia's story is hard to hear but it must be heard. Amelia ...more

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

Last Words is probably going to be a very different book than anything you have read in a good long while. Last Words if told though the journals of Emma's grandmother who lived thought the Holocaust and has hidden this journal from her entire family until she is convinced she is dying and can't be saved. In the hospital, very confused and surrounded by her family she keeps asking for Charlie but no one

So I'll be completely honest. I have a couple books by Shari Ryan on my kindle but I haven't read any yet..... until this one! And now I'm thinking why the heck haven't I read more?!? This book, I just, it was, I'm speechless. Seriously. I need a minute to put into words what this book has made me feel and think....

This story has two of the most beautiful love stories I've ever read, yes two! The story of Emma and Jackson but also Amelia and Charlie. You're in for an adventure of a lifetime that

To the author that broke my soul. You Shari J Ryan have somehow crawled inside my soul with your words and cracked it. Thank you for that.

I was so nervous to read this story because I knew the outcome would be the same. However, this author has given me so much enjoyment that I had to give it a,real chance. That real chance kept me up until 6 am in the morning crying. Happy tears. The words and characters are so authentic and genuine th

I received the ARC in exchange for a honest review.

I love stories about the Holocaust and this one was the best I've ever read! This is a love story of the truest kind. It goes back and forth from Amelia's point of view to Emma's as we find out Amelia's journey to America. It brought tears to my eyes as I'm Jewish so I could totally relate. I cried throughout the whole thing and I was addicted. I read halfway into the night and finished it today. This is a story you'll definitely need a box of t

This book was something a little different than what I have been used to with Shari Ryan's books and I will admit I was a little hesitant to read it, not knowing what to expect and if it would be something I would enjoy. Having said that, I know that I will never do the review of this book justice. This book was something truly special, starting from the moment I picked it up. I knew early on that this book would be powerful, profound, and probably cause some tears to fall (and in this I was def ...more

There are no words to try to convey to you the depth of my love for this story. Shari is such an amazing writer - she is able to capture your heart and your attention from the very first words and then she keeps you engaged and enthralled the entire time. This quite possibly is my favorite book to date from her.

This story is raw and gritty at times and then heartwarming and funny at others. There is a beautiful theme of survival and love that sees beyond hatred – a love that stares deep into th

There is absolutely no amount of amazing words I could possibly use, in any language, to describe Shari Ryan's new release Last Words and still do this deeply moving, thought provoking love story justice.

Last Words moved me to the brink of tears, cultivated fear and burned deep in my heart with the our pouring of love it provoked.

Ryan's story was an unexpected one in Nazi German times. Two souls finding love in the most tragic of places. Ryan poured every stitch of her heritage into this emotio

Phenomenal book! It was beautifully written. I don't always like the switching of viewpoints, but this one really worked. It flowed seamlessly since she was reading a diary. You always knew exactly which viewpoint it was, and the time period. It was very descriptive... so descriptive that I got a physical reaction to the circumstances that she was living through in the past! If you like history and/or love stories it is a must read!

What a beautiful story this one was. I really enjoyed it and was invested in the story of both women. The love that spanned the ages. What horror's the poor people of the Jewish faith had to go through during those years, the author captures the torment and agony beautifully and will be definitely looking at more of her work.

A story of the horrors in life but of the beauty that can be born from the ashes. Follow this amazing story of life, love and perseverance.
