another smashing book from Max Henry that pulls at your heart strings and causes you to develop these intense feelings for these two characters who on their own are broken, jagged pieces but when you mesh them together they fit seamlessly - creating this once in a life time love story that you will remember long after finishing.
Wow where do i begin with how much i loved this story, From the first chapter i loved this book and couldn't wait to read more so when i saw i got an ARC i was so excited, This was every bit a good as i though it would be, It's a hard story for both Cam and Duke and i loved how they found each other. I really don't want to give too much away so i will say that if you like/love a story about people finding love when they least expect it then read this.

I thought that the author did a good job of showing the emotional depth of what both Cam and Duke's traumas did to them. It was clear that they were each finding it hard to cope and were leading half lives. Echoes in the Storm is a bundle of tension! I don't think I took a deep breath the entire time I was reading. Duke and Cammie's story is so poignant, full of so much pain and heartbreak. Ultimately, it's a story of survival, of second and last chances, of love. It's the light at the end of a long, dark path. I loved it.

I am a huge fan of Max Henry and Reading this book my love for her written words grew!! She took two broken people who were each battling their own demons and made such an amazing story!! I knew what I would do.....but then I read Echoes in the Storm and it had me rethinking what I thought I would do. The character development between Cammie and Duke was spot on. Cammie is dealing with some problems from a prior relationship and Duke is learning how to trust again. The relationship that develops between them is priceless!

I just loved this wonderful story. The characters Cam and Duke were both very interesting in their own way, they'd both had issues in their pasts which they had to over come, but were still completely different to each other. Not to give too much away, it was interesting to see how they both changed as their friendship grew. It's a story about two lost people finally finding hope and a love neither of them expected.

Where to start with this amazingly wonderful beautiful emotional story. The characters Cam and Duke are intriguing in their own way but with the issues from their pasts they were struggling to overcome and move on. Not going to do spoilers but it was hypnotising in a way that you get so drawn into their story about these lost souls who maybe finally find the hope and love neither of them expected or thought they deserved. I seriously love books where you have to keep reading to figure out what's going on. This book pulls you in with the unknown. There is so much that you just don't know, but it's all done in such a good way. Definitely one of those reads that you don't want to put down you just want to keep reading to find out exactly what's going on.

Alert and a warning! If you are interested in a quick and fluffy romance read with some sex, this is not the book for you. However, if you want a well written, poignant story about two people and how their relationship progresses then you have picked the right book.
