Xavier Neal is one of my favorite authors. She never fails to entertain me. And this story is no different than a chance meeting between two people who have been dumped by their exes meet and fall in love. Of course it's not that simple there is a pig that is involved. This is a sweet sexy romantic happily ever after and of story. Five hilarious stars!

Can't help but love

One of the reasons people read books, are to escape stale monotony that comes with adulthood. This book kept me constantly laughing. And I loved the characters! Even the side characters are well rounded that I just wanted the series to go on and on. This is the very best of Ms. Neal's work that I've read and I can't wait until the next book comes out. I would highly recommend if someone is in need of something different in story plot that is bound to make one laugh out loud.
#rippedbodicebingo square: hero has a pet that's not a cat or a dog.

I love that this was such a fun, light romance. This particular type of contemporary -- goofy plot/premise, perfect hero, instant sparks and hardened nipples on sight, pure fantasy fluff and basically no conflict or angst -- isn't really my favorite flavor, but I love that it's out there and I know for sure that it's somebody's favorite flavor! Writers telling stories they want to tell, and putting characters out there they wan

Must Love Hogs, is an adorable, sweet potato pie romance novel. Ollie and Ford had a fun meet-cute that would translate to screen wonderfully. It had a romantic-comedy feel to it, with a unique connector in the hog. Both of their exes leaving them for each other was another different piece of the storyline, but I didn't understand why he gave her ex-boyfriend gave her the hog. Nevertheless, it was a fun read.

The pacing was excellent and allowed us to develop a connection to their relationship. O

Ford is a man who calls it like he sees it, “the way you’re starin’,” he continues, green eyes clouded with a hint of uncertainty. “Not sure if your tongue is hanging out because you’re rebuffed by what you see or because you’re wishing to see more of it.” I really enjoyed this book, I fell in love with Ford.

This book is a part of a brand new series that Xavier is writing. I absolutely loved it! This book has a different feel than her other series and it was a nice change. The romance and humor between our hog loving Ford and our nerdy Ollie was by far one of my most favorite to read about. Ford totally laid on the Southern charm for Ollie and I loved how sometimes she was oblivious about it! This awesome romance starts out with Ollie getting a little surprise from her douche of an ex. Enter Ford, s ...more

Must Love Hogs by Xavier Neal is book #1 in the brand new Must Love series. I love, love, loved this book. This is a beautiful and emotional romance about two people that have been burned by love. You will be blown away by this book. It has such a unique plot, wonderful characters and will engage all your emotions. All this over a ...piglet?

Ford has been dumped again by his cheating, on again off again girlfriend, that he's had since highschool. But, where's the piglet he gave her?
Olivia (Ollie) has just been dumped by her boyfriend, who always wanted her to pay for everything, and take care of him, all he left was a goodbye letter and baby pig!
Ford goes to Ollie's to reclaim his hog, but she is distraught and refuses to give it up, and so "joint custody" was established.
This was a great read. It has a clo

I adore this new series! It was fun and refreshing to read. Xavier gave us the best Southern Charm, and I'm loving it.
Ford and Ollie meet in the most unusual circumstance. Their lives got turned upside down, and a friendship started to blossom. Ford is sexy, and driven. He loves his huge family dearly, and is country lifestyle. Ollie is a doll, she smart and sassy. I seriously want her job. The way these two opposites attract is something else. I love everything about this book, and the story l

Ollie is an amazing artist and helps design video games for a small company. She is smart, sexy, fun and sassy at times. She just became a hog mom because her ex boyfriend. Someone shows up at her place though claiming the hog is his! Will these two become more than just co-parents?
Ford had gotten burned from his ex fiance one too many times and now his hog is in the hands of someone else. What is he to do?? He's handsome and smart.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves this author.

This was one of the sweetest love stories I have read in a long time. Xavier Neal delivered a book with two of the most lovable characters I have ever read. Ford is a sexy cowboy with a heart of gold and Ollie is a gaming girl( speaking as one we don't have enough of us in the world) that is completely lovable. From the moment the two are thrown together due to a breakup and a pig, I was hooked. I did not want to put the book down. I am looking forward to reading the stories of the other Shaw br ...more

When reading a Xavier Neal book, you cannot be surprised when you find a strong family involved. This series looks to be another hit that has a quirky no restraint or filter on what they say family. Love Ford's parents by the way. Ford and Ollie may meet in an unconventional way but their story will have you smile. Expect to laugh and fall in love with your new book family.

I want a Hog! Oh my gosh! This is the book to read! This story was funny and sweet! The time line of a real relationship is true to life! Her ex dumped her with a hog and skipped out. He gave the hog, to his ex and she skipped out! Becoming hog parents brought them together! Xavier Neal wrote the perfect story!

This book was such a good read. Very funny, I mean a book that involves custody of a hog has gotta be funny. The Ollie and Ford were so cute and very relatable. And I absolutely loved the instances with Ollie's best friend Camilla and Ford's family, especially his hilarious mother. If you're looking for a feel good read that will definitely make you laugh, pick up Must Love Hogs!!

This was such a cute story. I loved the comedy Ollie and Ford were perfect for each other. I loved how they were able to be supportive of each other and especially how Ford was able to help Ollie be more self confident. All this happened as a result of shared custody of a hog. I absolutely loved it. Great job, Xavier Neal!

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This story starts you out with some good humor and just brings it throughout! I really have enjoyed every one of Xavier Neal's stories, and this is no exception. Not as heavy as some have been, this is the perfect "light", sexy read!

I was disappointed in this book because the lead romantic characters, Olivia (Ollie) and Ford were supposed to be 30 yrs old but spoke and reacted as if they were 20 yrs old if not younger. Honestly, it was a little boring and I skipped pages to make it through a story about two people who come together because their lovers ran off together leaving behind a pet pig named Princess Pinky. Ollie and Ford, who never met before decide to co-parent the pig. We never know how Ollie's former boyfriend D ...more

What a great book! Ford and Ollie are brilliant characters, their relationship although it didn't start in a conventional way is amazing. It was wonderful to see this two grow into their own and see how their lives were changing and becoming better. This book has it all, a little angst, love, friendship, humour, I said it's got it all! Xavier is a fabulous author, I've been reading her books for a while now and I can see her writing developing even more with every book. Xavier has ...more

Recommends it for: All Romance Lovers
Cute story ... lots of laugh out loud moments ... hated Olivia's shortened name ... so I'm calling her Livi, instead of Ollie. The hero's mother almost stole this book -- she's hilarious.

5 Stars!!!

Co-parenting a pig creates a blossoming new friendship for Ollie, in the form of a tall, dark, and handsome farm boy. When life feels like it couldn't get any better, a devil from the past resurfaces, sending their equilibrium, spiralling off balance.

Must Love Hogs, is a sweet comedy romance. I devoured each, and every page. I wore a goofy kind of smile the whole time I was reading this story, because for me Ollie, and Ford, stole my heart, they are so sweet together. I wanted nothing

The story follows Ford Shaw and Ollie, who both become hog parents, by accident. This was a very sweet and endearing story. I adore Ms. Neal’s storytelling, the way she can paint vivid pictures of the characters, her stories always seem to flow effortlessly. She has a way of sucking you into a story from the get go. This story was an easy read, it was linear and was not rushed. You could feel the character’s growing attractions, you felt their heartaches and their triumph’s. This story arc was b ...more

I loved this book!

Ollie and Ford were so cute together. Their kind and loving personalities just melded together nicely. Each of them had their spirits beaten down by a person who did not deserve them and just thought they could just pop back up into their life when they darn well pleased. That may have been true before Ollie and Ford met and fell for each other. Even though Ollie was an eccentric nerd with low self esteem, Ford was absolutely enchanted by her and was determined to stay in her l

I cannot say enough how much I loved this book! It was sweet, funny, sensual, and adorable! I know all of those adjectives seem weird together but this book was just sooo much! Okay so Ollie and Ford meet when Ollie's ex leaves her with a pet pig. The pig ends up being one that Ford gave to his ex who is the one Ollie's ex left her for! I know it sounds confusing but once you read it everything makes sense. I love the fact that Ollie and Ford started off as friends and grew to be more over time. ...more

What a delightful book. The author has written a storyline with some of the main things I look for. Romance with lots of laugh thrown in and characters that are actually believable.

The story begins with Ollie being dumped by her boyfriend! From that point things get a little strange and a whole lot crazier. I mean who dumps their girlfriend by leaving her a note and a pet pig (hog). Especially when said Pig wasn’t even his to begin with let alone give to Ollie. But good times and lots of laughs

There is not enough love and support i can give to this author or this book! I keep being amazed by the books she writes and then end up shaking my head and thinking..."of course its amazing..its Xavier!" Not only that but she is an honest to god awesome person!

Ford and Ollie's story got me right from the start. It was funny and quirky and then real and down to earth all at the same time. I loved the characters and how natural they were with each other. Neither having to hide their real self or

I found MUST LOVE HOGS to be a light and enjoyable read, but one I didn’t take a lot of notes on, so this review is going to be short.

Ford is a very likable character, from the first page to the last. I liked Ollie, but at times I felt she acted younger than her thirty years of age, especially when she overreacted to the conflict scene towards the end.

While I did like this story, it’s not without its issues. Some phrases were repeated throughout the story, and it got a bit annoying listening to

Xavier Neal has managed to write a story that is funny, and adorable, and very sexy, and even has a farm animal as an important character. I wasn’t sure it would even be my kind of story, but she hooked me. A story in which the characters – Olivia (Ollie) and Ford -- are brought together because of a pig, well a hog actually (but you can’t tell Ollie that), and because their exes dumped them for each other. Ollie sees herself as a nerd; she’s a graphic designer for a video game company. Ford, wh ...more
This is my review and how I see it. In Must Love Hogs, Olivia is dumped by her boyfriend on her birthday, and he leaves behind a hog which she names "Princess Pinky." While she has a waiting to exhale moment, there is a knock on the door when she answers, and there is a handsome cowboy at the door asking her pig.

They are attracted to each as they co-parent Princess Pinky, as their relationship progresses Ford's feelings for his ex-girlfriend rears its ugly head and later so does ex. The re-emerg
