Rate this book
1-Year Plan. These readings are compiled according to recent historical research, taking into account the order in which the recorded events actually occurred. This is a fantastic plan to follow if you wish to add historical context to your reading of the Bible. If the schedule provided is followed, the entire Bible will be read in one calendar year.

This plan does not read straight through the Bible from Genesis to Revelation. Rather, these readings are compiled according to recent historical research, taking into account the order in which the recorded events actually occurred. This is a fantastic plan to follow if you wish to add historical context to your reading of the Bible. If the schedule provided is followed, the entire Bible will be read in one calendar year.

I'll be trying a different plan this year. The days weren't the same length. Some days, they may have three 20 verse chapters, and other days, they may have six 15 verse chapters.

The Bible can be difficult to understand in places, no doubt. As one reads it and allows themselves space, the mysteries within will unfold and connections are made where individual stories were before. This plan helped me in that I was able to contextualize some of the books since it was rearranged chronologically.

Ultimately, it is a book that showcases the evil man is capable of, the importance of love for one another, and how God Himself finds us, His handiwork, important enough to relay these messages to us by giving us the greatest gift of all.

Greatest book ever written. Words to live by that lead to eternal life.

Spoiler alert: Jesus loves you and God wins in the end!
